I prefer to watch anime that's finished airing, so that I don't have to wait for the next episodes. I've been adding more on-going anime on my currently watching list, but I tend to forget about them. I'm always in search of anime that would remain with me for a long time- whether that be based on the story of the anime, or character(s) in it, or the music in the anime, or the film making, etc. So it really doesn't matter what the genre is to me, as long as it's interesting. Generally my favorite genre tends to be psychological, but I also like romance, mystery, comedy, slice of life, vampire, bishounen, sports, si-fi..
I use MAL primarily to just organize all the anime/manga that I've read/watched, not so much to make any recommendations or to a write review to get my opinion out. And I'm also socially bipolar.

I really didn't like the ending at first because I mean you know that eventually they are going to get taken down. But after having it sit around a while I definitely appreciate it and can't think of any other way it could have ended now. At the very least I prefer a solid ending to leaving it open for a cash grab continuation that would probably kill everything the show stood for.
Yeah, I really enjoyed it, though the first time I saw the finale it was quite rage inducing, I was really hoping that I was just hearing things. That made it pretty powerful though.
