How many shows are you completing this season?

I definitely see where you're coming from! Personally probably my only huge complaint about 2 was Kamui. I felt like he was just a walking plot device and I hated it so, so much. As a fan of the horror genre, the bloodshed was no issue for me whatsoeve, and I don't mind the number of episodes a series has as long as they're good episodes yknow. However it's been a while since I watched it so I'm not so sure I remember enough information to back up what I'm saying lol.
Character development and symbolism are really important to me as well - as the kid of two English teachers, one of whom teaches it to high school students, film study included, I tend to analyse the crap out of what I watch. To me, Psycho Pass 1 had more subtlety than 2. Honestly I felt like it ended in a really good place and 2 was just dragging it out. To me, the way it ended wrapped up the kinda despair in the themes and I guess in my world view if I'm honest. Personally I feel like the system we live under in the real world is unbeatable. There's no hero who's going to turn the tables. Our only option is to live with it. I feel like the end of 1 captured that superbly.

Hello there! I came to your profile via your review of the Psycho Pass movie and had a look at your ratings - I just wonder why you rated Psycho Pass 2 10/10, and the first series just a 9? I ask this with genuine curiosity and no ill intentions - I hardly ever enjoy anime as much as I thoroughly enjoyed Psycho Pass, but Psycho Pass 2 for me was an absolute, utter letdown. Most people who liked Psycho Pass seem to refuse to even acknowledge Psycho Pass 2. Just wondering what you saw in it that I may have missed!
