The version I have is the 25th anniversary edition that is remastered and cleaned up like they did with Evangelion. Original Japanese audio with subtitles...I tried the english dub with Mari Ijima and it was not good, no offense to Ijima but she's WAY BETTER off speaking her native tongue. Her accent was just to heavy and made miss the Robotech dub of Minmay lol
Macross 7 huh? That's the series that people either love or hate, no in between with that one. Reason for that is the main male protagonist, people find him extremely annoying and over the top or extremely cool and badass. Let's see what you think ;)

omg yes, I saw that (because this site tells me lol)...you've gone on a Macross only diet and even watched some of the "less entertaining" ones...that happened with me and Gundam but that got old quick, very quick...to much of a Macross and Eva fan to stomach it lol
oh yeah quick note, I did like Macross II: Lover's Again but was sad to see that its not canon, in fact the creator of Macross had nothing to do with it, just the same animators and the studio wanted to cash in...but it does well as an "alternate reality" I guess, plus I like old 80's animation, well the good ones that is ;)

I was a huge fan of the original Robotech series (1st 37 episodes that is), but once I saw Macross: Do You Remember Love, I had to have the original japanese version of Macross and I'm glad I did. I bought the special un-cut remastered box set too.
As far as Twins, I liked the male protagonist much better too but the girls weren't that interesting to me though. Also I agree that the whole "we could be related" dragged on too much and at times made you want smack that guy in the head lol.
If you liked the Onegai series then you should check out Ano Natsu de Matteru (Waiting in the Summer), it's brand new and its kind of the same setting as Onegai Teacher except the girl isn't a teacher, just an upper classmen (senpai? w/e lol).
Also the same script/screenplay writer (Kuroda, Yousuke) from the Onegai series wrote this story as well...

Thanks for the heads up, but I'm over Rick Hunter and Lisa Hayes after watching Macross lol... Onegai Teacher #1 for you now? Then you should watch Onegai Twins then.

yeah, Netflix has added tons of anime lately. I'm "trying" to watch Honey and Clover and while the story is good, I can't get into the main female character, she's too young looking. Dance in the Vampire Bund is also there and I'm almost done with it. I gave up on Clannad. I've been jumping between Netflix and fresh or recent anime from japan like Dantalian no Shoka (Gainax), Sacred Seven, and Beelzebub.
Back to Netflix...try Demon King Daimao since you like fan service lol...plus the main character isn't a loser wimp like most animes...it's a Action, Comedy, Ecchi, Fantasy, Magic, School, Shounen, Harem that sort of spoofs harry potter like Familiar of Zero did (another good series). Anyway sorry I don't answer on this much, I don't check it so just hit me up on fb if anything
