I've finally decided to introduce myself but beware, I really fail at self-introduction, so here's my try:
My nick is mflatischler, it's actually my real name, M stands for Mark, you can see my age and where I live on the profile details.
My nature may look quite immature for someone's taste despite of my age, but I can be serious at times when it counts. I always try to lift up the atmosphere and being friendly as much as I can. =) I love healthy discussions where I can really put my opinion on a statement where no one is trashing each other's opinions. I myself is open to all opinions and always enjoy the sight from every possible perspectives.
About me and anime: My absolute fandomness is dedicated to Saber-chan, you can imagine me, whenever I see a cute picture of Saber, zooming it out and hugging my monitor. XD But that is the only one absolute fandomness I go through.
You will never see a male character on my favourite character list, is one thing for sure. Maybe I don't really pay attention enough at male characters. ^^
My normal fandomness just look like any other normal fandomness, like browsing through image galleries, visiting the official website, looking for more infos than infos served, more background stories, visiting the author/director's/artist's blog and maybe also downloading the drama cds for it, but my fandomness never go through owning figurines or pasting posters on the wall, not even to mention to buy those pillows xD
I pick anime shows basing first on the art and character designs, second on the genre and synopsis, third on the overall ratings, fourth from reviews and at last maybe basing on it's popularity.
Sometimes though, I just pick up a show randomly.
I like genres mostly in combination like romance-drama, slice-of-life-comedy, shoujo-romance-(comedy|drama) and the lighthearted ones.
The longest in combination is maybe Adult-Mature-Seinen/Josei-Ecchi without Action. ^^
I watch rarely shows in action genre which involves firearms and killing each other for lowly reasons, not that I'm hoplophobic but seeing people killing each other for lowly reasons is a situation which I just facepalm myself many times. Some may know what I mean.
The most important for me in anime or let's say what matters me most are character related things. Character design, character development, character relations, character interactions and the last but not the least, the character presentation.
I'm too lazy to explain it and when, it would take up the whole profile page for it, longer than any profiles in MAL. ^^
I'll just make an example about it, let's see,...
I consider Gunslinger Girl having the best character presentation I've ever seen, the best character interactions are Saber with Emiya Shirou having the Master/Servant relation but also having a cute bittersweet romance, I can't really decide which anime and character having the best character development, maybe Hikaru no Go and NHK ni Youkoso, the funniest character relations I've seen is in School Rumble and amazing is in Code Geass, the strongest character relation is in Bimbou Shimai Monogatari.
The sexiest character design goes to To-Love-Ru and what seems so really badass is Yozakura Quartet, it's just cool. Unique character design are in Hyakko and Yuuhi Romance ( same artist ). Also to mention Soul Eater. What I like the most are Sachi Kurafuji, TT, T2 and Yasu's works.
So there you have it, if you don't understand what I mean then you have to watch it.
Wow, you surprise me by mentioning that I should earn an award. XD I'm not so sure about that though, because I seen some other really good profiles on this site. ^^
When it comes to selecting a character, I'm not too worry about what I select. You can use the nominee selection as a character for the week. Then in the next week, you can select something different. I seen Master_M2K do that often, because he selects different choices from the nominees which generally brings his image of being an unbiased reviewer. ^^
That scene from Code Geass is probably something most viewers have long forgotten.
Well, I wrote up another good portion from my C.C. analysis. Tell me your thoughts about it. I'll place this portion up in my analysis along with the photo also:
Yuunagi, you mention earlier that C.C. may be too passive, which is an understanding argument. However, if we somehow struggle with living an eternal life, should we as human beings like C.C. always strive to find open options in our lives. For myself, this brings an impact of realism coming from C.C.'s character. As viewers, we must never forget certain situations that may have brought a factor towards C.C.'s decision making. For C.C., there was once a scene in Episode 11 of Season 1 where she shows a vulnerable side to herself:
Lelouch: "I removed the shrapnel and cleaned your wounds"
C.C.: "No need."
Lelouch: "So it would seem."
C.C.: "You didn't have to save me. Why are you always so unnecessarily proud?"
Lelouch: "Well, I learned something interesting......Your name."
C.C.: "Eavesdropping is a bad habit to get into."
Lelouch: "It's a nice name. More human than C.C., certainly."
C.C.: "That's stupid. Nothing about me is human. After all, I... I... I forgot everything. All of it. I can't have a name. No name...(tears from her eyes)
Lelouch: "Well, this is as good a time as any. Yes, you saved me back there and indeed several times before, not to mention giving me the geass. So...I won't say it twice. Thank you."
C.C.: (tears still in her eyes and a smile) "That's the first time anyone's thanked me for anything. Well then, would you mind returning the favor? Call for me again, like you did before."
Lelouch: "Oh, your name?"
C.C.: " Just once, kindly gently, like my lover would."
Lelouch: "Very well. (says name without viewers hearing) How was that?"
C.C.: "Not good. No good at all. It wasn't kind or gentle enough, and you didn't sound anything like my lover. Your pronunciation was off, and you looked cold while saying it, to boot."
Lelouch: "You're such a shrew."
C.C.: "Of course I am. I am C.C. after all."
From this situation, would it be necessary to say that C.C. was willing to take chances in different sides (like Lelouch or Marianne) just to heal the mental wounds of those she has forgotten long ago. For some reason, it plays a factor of her relationship with Marianne, Lelouch, or a few other characters just to strive on decisions that may come up as a benefit for herself. To live a life where you can't die and to somehow have this struggle to bring happiness for yourself, it brings tears to your eyes for someone like C.C.We may say C.C. was passive in her attempts, but could we clearly recognize that it was appropriate and well-executed for her character. To think, it was one out of many quality results that makes C.C. that special of a character. It is something that I can never forget from the times I shed a few tears whenever C.C. mentions about forgetting the people from her past. For the state of being immortal, it is that appropriate in itself and that is something memorable coming from the character C.C.
I added the same long analysis of C.C. under the last spoiler tag from my profile. You may check it out when you get the chance. It is long and contains photos as well. This may be something I plan to use when C.C. gets the opportunity to get spotlighted in C&C. There is still room for improvement though.
Sorry about the delay but here is my analysis on C.C. so far, Mflatischler:
All that's left are memories of a witch. I didn't even know that I wasn't a human. The people who hated me, the people who loved me...they have all disappeared with time. In the endless and forever time, I...alone."
-Quote from C.C. during the first season of Code Geass
A very strong quote from C.C. on living her immortal life and forgotten the feelings that where once expressed from other humans.
For myself, this is a no brainer for a "Yes" vote from myself. C.C. is currently my #1 favorite character among others in anime and very likely will remain that way for many years. Although saying C.C. is my #1 favorite character would be nothing, unless I can provide many reasons to support my position.
Ever since C.C. was introduced as a character, she brings so many good areas of quality that clearly breaks her away from the typical neglect-feeling character. I will go ahead present you many points on C.C. herself.
Whenever you watch a series like Code Geass, C.C. is a character that certainly brings alot of attention that always tries to make us think about her. This scenario really draws us into asking questions on who is she and how she doesn't die from the very first episode. C.C. is what you consider a mysterious, controversal, and complex character which makes her alluring towards the audience. Because many of us have the willingness to find out answers about C.C., it never ceases to lose momentum throughtout the Code Geass series. To me, if C.C. was introduced in any other series besides Code Geass she will bring the same alluring attention towards its audience. Some of the mysteries that come from C.C. would involve finding out what her real name is and how she sometimes speaks to an anonymous individual when alone.
-You can also add the fact that C.C. brings an unique assortment of clothing, that certainly never brings any low moments from the fanservice perspective. In our eyes, you can say it highlights the beauty and classy image coming from C.C.
The background information from C.C. that involves her history is certainly something worthwhile as well.
-My thoughts come up from this result, her history brings a great impact towards her own existence.
-It is something else to realize that C.C. has live for a long time for god knows how many centuries. To live for so long and to deal with the many terrible ordeals, one can always make us wonder what her stories are like. In the first season finale, she shares those memories to Lelouch and many viewers that witness the shocking results. By these results, many can understand how much C.C. has dealt with as an individual. It goes by this question: "Is being an immortal consider a great benefit or a curse we may suffer?" After all I witness from C.C.'s history, I really envy on all the crap she had to suffer with in her immortal life. This also adds to the knowledge she gains through all those centuries.
There is also another thing that makes me wonder about C.C. We don't often see her as a complete loyalist towards Lelouch and that usually is a interesting thing about her character. If we saw C.C. as someone that seems to be completely 100% loyal to Lelouch, then I don't see this result in making her a unique character. Here are a few reasons that wanders in my mind:
-One thing that is most important involving C.C. is the contract situation. All the times we watch anime, contracts are often double-edged swords where the protaganist gets his benefit but only receives negative later on in the story.
-The other important event that impacts the presence of C.C. involves the Mao arc from Code Geass' 1st season. This is an arc where C.C. tries to act alone on her own will despite Lelouch ordering her to stay with him. It clearly shows that C.C. tends to take a lot of responsibility on committing certain actions.
-We can also not forget that C.C. was willing to get a piece of the giant pizza made from the student council, although it was for comedic effort. At that time, C.C. did not trust Lelouch in getting a piece of the giant pizza. This is another example on C.C. going on her own will and not being a complete loyalist towards Lelouch.

-Good comedy moment from Code Geass and was funny. XD
C.C.'s personality is also another area that makes her a great character. Unlike typical-neglect characters often bringing one dimensional personalities, C.C. brings up a few different personalities that round out in making her character interesting. Often at times I always find her usual personality very entertaining, because of her display of sarcasm among conversations. A very good example that results in C.C.'s sarcasm results from the first season finale of Code Geass:
Lelouch: "C.C., do not die."
C.C.: (smirks) "Who do you think you're talking to?"
Lelouch: (smiles) "You're right."
Very funny moment for me personally. XD This is a good moment I enjoy when it comes to enjoying her usual personality.
Although C.C. often displays little care towards others, it is somewhat interesting to see her bring feelings of care towards Lelouch. In Episode 23 from the first season, C.C. manages to comfort Lelouch for the first time despite what he has accidently done to Princess Euphemia. For myself, it really displays that C.C. can bring out a few hints of different feelings from her usual personality.
-This picture I have below is something I have greatly felt from C.C's character. I'm sure anyone that has a bad day would need this from a special someone: [photo]
One other important thing to remember is how Episode 15 of Code Geass R2 brought up a display of emotion coming from C.C. where she wishes to die: [photo]
For all the time she has deal with her eternal life, it brings a strong meaning of realism towards C.C. If one of us was immortal like C.C. and suffer through the many ordeals like herself, doesn't that make us wish to die also?
C.C.'s original character brings so much presense towards Code Geass. When she went through the sudden character change at the end of Code Geass R2's Episode 15, I have certainly brought feelings towards badly missing her character. It was very good that C.C.'s original character return after a short time, because she brings alot of good and quality moments from that very character.
I have brought up a lot of detail out of how I see C.C. as a great character in anime. There are also a few personal interests that I tend to enjoy from C.C.
-Yukana Nogami brings out a good seiyu performance from C.C.
-My favorite craving is pizza, so I certainly share that interest with C.C. XD
-C.C. also brings a priceless smile, something that brings out a great image from a female character in anime.
-She also brings an appealing image from the different clothing she wears.
-Finally, if I ever want to have a cup of tea or have a slice of pizza and listen to stories from a certain character, then C.C. is the one I would consider.

-C.C., you will remain the top among my favorites in anime and you will certainly bring many memories worth viewing. Thanks to all the C&C club members who have read this and I hope my long analysis of C.C. is a worthwhile read.
Just read the text and I definitely look forward towards your thoughts on my description. Character interactions are certainly one area that is very important for a character to be memorable in an anime, but I also like the other areas you mention also. ^^
Edit: Hope you don't mind I send a friend's request. ^^
I wish I could present you this information now mflatischler, but unfortunely my written notes are at my house this time. Once I'm done with school here in the U.S., I'll make sure to present this information to you as soon as I can. :)
After seeing your profile picture of Saber, I cannot believe I haven't even seen Fate/Stay Night yet. I really need to get around towards seeing that anime someday.
