Happy New Years everyone! I hope you had a great year! If not oh well I don't care. Anyway, as you can see, this newsletter is from Chibis!! I'm trying to make this club active again. I've started by giving the club a new look, and I'm editing all the threads to make them look nicer. The first semester of school is always the busiest, so I'm going to make time so I can help my club. I hope you guys can help this club become active again too! Enough of that, now onto more important matters. Most of our staff is busy and yeah yeah yeah we need your help, blah blah blah ╮(─▽─)╭. I'm sure you heard this a million times from other clubs, but seriously, only like four of us is active. You can sign up hereif you are interested. No pressure. I'm going to create a birthday thread too.

I liked your review on Akatsuki no Yona. I checked your anime list and did not see some anime that are very similar to this and don't have silly fanservice. Watch Seirei no Moribitou, 12 Kingdoms/Juuni Kokuki and Erin. They start somewhat slow, but are the best anime there are. I usually hate female characters in anime, because they spoil the plot by bringing in fan service and romance. But the main characters in these three series are all female and the best female characters written on anime medium imo.

If you want a twist on classic shoujo tropes and conventions, you may enjoy watching Ouran High School Host Club. It's a hilarious parody of the genre.
Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is also pretty good, if you've ever read one of those dramatically overdone sparkly shoujo manga.
I agree with your review on Akatsuki no Yona! I'm a female who usually enjoys more shounen/seinen stories, but I've found Akatsuki no Yona enjoyable for all the same reasons. ;)
