So, I gave this series a seven, while the majority gave it a perfect ten. I will explain why.
Story:
The story is nothing too unique, but not too stereotyped, either. There is quite a bit of drama, which gets turned into over-done melodrama. Not the plot's fault, but the characters', which I'll explain further down.
Animation:
The animation was pretty good. Nothing else to say on that.

I tried to power through this anime, but I just got tired of wasting my time.
With the problems presented, it could have been really good, but ended up just being bland a bit confusing. Magical characters are presented, but they're used more to cause angst and drama than anything else. The chemistry between the main character and his love interests is lacking and uninteresting. There doesn't seem to be any at all. The art and sound are fine, but nothing new or spectacular. ...

I went into this thinking it was a direct sequel of Kiddy Grade with basically the same characters, main and otherwise, like many other people. Though while other people were disappointed to find out that wasn't the case, I wasn't really disappointed.
Some of Ascoeur's traits got annoying from time to time, but other than that, I liked the characters, and still think Ascoeur to be a very cute and comical character. The story did a bit of jumping around in the last couple of episodes, but I wasn't confused at all. It didn't really have too much filler to it, and the filler it did have ... |
