Your comment on Kara no Kyoukai 2 was totally misleading. You skipped all the details and never realized Ryougi never was the killer. Hints to that were dropped too often. The biggest of them would be the badge at the crime scene. Ryoui never wore the uniform. I understand your hatred for Mikiya but you failed to realize he acted not only out of emotion but these details he managed to figure out. And it wasnt a cardboard character sketch as well. Both personalities of Shiki were clearly shown and were polar opposites like they were meant to be, with different speech patterns as well

"Perhaps a love story between a boy and a possessed girl? Then the focus would perhaps be on their deepening relationship throughout the movie. Their actions and choices then do make more sense."

This comes much closer to the core. Consider that this is a movie series, not a stand-alone movie.

you hit the nail on the head with kara no kyoukai, it's incredibly pseudo-intellectual. there is not a single rational decision in the whole franchise.

well, except for the sixth movie, that one was actually rather enjoyable because it mostly skipped these horrible main characters^^

Actually, KnK is not a psychological analysis. I also doubt that if you take 1000 characters out of anime there would be nobody that would have made the same decision. There are some ridiculous things in anime. And honestly, while I don't agree at all with his decision I can still understand him and I could very well imagine humans that would do the same. Honestly, your review doesn't sound like you concern yourself too much with human psychology in your regular life (might be wrong here but it certainly sounds like it).
It’s time to ditch the text file.
