I have to say I’ve been thoroughly enjoying some of the latest villainess stories to come to us. And this one is no exception.
As with most isekai, someone passes on and thus becomes princess pride from their favorite video game. What I really liked about this one as opposed to other stories with similar plots, is that the main protagonist, princess pride, doesn’t win over her people by being just kind and pretty. Her intellect was much more valued in this show, and was the reason people began to devote themselves to protecting her or supporting her on her endeavors to become queen.
This one really
...
reminded me of the one I just watched, 7th Time Loop, where the MC also uses her intelligence to succeed - not only in her personal life, but in her relationships. Her intellect was something that was admired, more than anything else about her. but what I really liked about both of these shows, is that even though they had the girl boss mentality, they still allowed for romance. 7th Time Loop has a lot more romance than this one, but I don’t mind that this one’s lacking in that because there’s a lot more love interests to be had.
I really hope they do a second season and she spends more time with each of the love interests and thus having more romance between them. But, even without that the show was still very fun to watch. I highly highly recommend!

I would rate this a 7.5, but because I did thoroughly enjoy watching this, I rounded up.
SUZUME surrounds two protagonist, Suzume and Souta, as they discover doors that when opened, unleash a monster. And if the doors are not then shut, the monster will engulf their world and end it.
Why the monster does this? We are not informed. Why the monster exists? We are not informed.
In fact, there is a lot about the plot that is questionable. For instance, they say a human cannot enter a door because it is technically the afterlife, so only people who have passed on, can reside in
...
the land beyond the doors. However Suzume, as a child - unknowingly - entered a door. And was able to enter the door again as an adult, without dying. Which is very contradictory.
Despite the potholes, I will say that I enjoyed the world that was built here. Aesthetically, it was beautiful to watch. And the story itself was still very much entertaining.
To add to what was charming, the characters were fun and likable. First, Suzume and Souta had nice chemistry! I think the only thing I would’ve liked more is if Souta wasn’t so much older. Rather, have him also as a teenager because then they could have pushed a romantic relationship. I think having more romance in this movie between those two characters would have been really nice. Also, the side characters in this movie were similarly very enjoyable! They felt purposeful and not wasted, which I appreciate because many shows/movies have characters that don’t meet up to their potential!
Truly, the pros outweigh the cons!
With all that said, definitely recommend watching!

Honestly, would give this a 6.5 if I could!
The demon prince of Momochi house centers around Himari finding out that her late parents left her a house. Upon arriving to this house, she discovers however that she’s not the only one residing there… enters Aoi and friends.
If you have seen Kamisama kiss, this is incredibly similar. The same can be said regarding fruits basket. They all have: a down-on-her-luck girl ending up at a home full of boys. Then decides to reside with them and help them with their troubles. Even though I actually love stories like that, this one couldn’t stand up to
...
the other better written plots, and better chemistry between the love interests.
Also, I think a big hardship for this show is that the manga came out in 2013, during a time where stories were written differently. Because of this, it doesn’t compete with the new romance animes being released today. It already feels nostalgic and outdated even though it’s technically new. If this had been released as an anime back in 2013, when it was originally written, I think that this would’ve done a much better job with audiences.
That all said, I still found it entertaining for what it is. I still think the show is worth watching. Just set different expectations, and you’ll have a good time!

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVED THIS SO FREAKING MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!
It has been so long since I watched a story that had everything I wanted…but this had it all! A clever protagonist, a dark but kind love interest AND ACTUAL SEXUAL TENSION !!!! The chemistry between Rishe and Arnold was electric! So well done!!
With a lot of recent romance animes, while the characters are cute, they often are missing the sexual chemistry element that makes the relationships turn-up a notch. And it tends to make them feel more platonic than anything else. This show did a great job of showing how truly infatuated
...
they were with one another.
As for the plot, I was thoroughly impressed. This held my attention fully for all 12 episodes! There was not a single duration of time that felt unnecessary or insignificant. They had a story to tell and they told it well. As for the characters- the same thing! All the characters in the story are very interesting and I really can’t wait to see what else happens within this world. That is, if they bless us with a season two!
I cannot recommend enough. This is basically Maid Sama mixed with Snow White With the Red hair! So if you’re down for that, def watch!!!

With all the Isekai shows saturating the market, Tsukimichi stands out against the mostly underwhelming options. While the show follows a very similar format of a person passing away, and then a God/goddess sends them to an alternate universe…what they do with the rest of the show following after is both fun, and entertaining!
I feel the main character, Makoto, is similar to, Rimuru, from the time I got reincarnated as a slime! They both create a new place for non-humans to reside peacefully together, and are set on a path of fixing the world they’ve been brought to by utilizing means other than war.
...
But personally, I thought that this show was more enjoyable than the other. Also, I liked that Makoto was more charismatic and dynamic as a character than Rimuru was. I feel that he had more passion and truly cared about his people.
Speaking of his people (and friends), this show did a good job of making you care about all the side characters in addition to the protagonist. I really felt for them when certain things occurred!
That all said, Looking forward to starting the second season!

YES YES YES!!!! I loved this so much!!!!!
This story is about Endo and Kobayashi, who play an Otome game together, and discover that somehow they can communicate with the in-game characters. And with this power, they decide to give the happiest of happy endings to their favorite - Lieselotte - who otherwise gets the doom ending.
This was truly so stinking cute! Soooo entertaining! I was determined to get through all the episodes to find out what was going to happen next. Even more so, to find out what was unfolding between all the love interests. My favorite, without a doubt was Lieselotte and Prince
...
Sieg.
That said, all the characters were more precious than the next!!! And the story had a plot revelation that I surprisingly didn’t predict!
It was perfectly fun and wholesome! I definitely recommend!!!!!!

This could have been sooooooo good…the set up of a girl falling for her yakuza bodyguard could have been sooooo good… and this just failed miserably.
The show centers around Isaku, who is the granddaughter of a yakuza boss, and her goal of wanting to live a normal life. She enters high school with the hope of achieving that, but to her surprise, Keiya, one of her grandfathers underlings, enters high school with her (disguised as a student) “to protect her.” Needless to say, things don’t go entirely to plan.
As I already stated, the concept could’ve been executed wonderfully, giving us a really great romance
...
anime. And yet… no.
So what happened?
Well, how about the fact that when Isaku is brought to live with her grandfather, she is five. This is also when she first meets Keiya. At this time, he is 15, and immediately declares himself as her guardian/brother, and promises to protect her from now. Yes, I said that right! He tells her to look at him in a parental role.
So, by the time she enters high school, at which point Keiya is 26 by the way, Isaku already loves him. To be fair, she never saw him in that way, she has always loved him in a romantic setting. But…The problem is that she doesn’t know if Keiya sees her as his child or lover!!!!!! What!?!?! Truly, she doesn’t know if his love is in the form of a guardian or not. WHY WHY WHY!!!!!! By doing this, it felt incredibly incestuous!
In order to have made this show really great, All they had to do was have Keiya assigned as her bodyguard from the beginning. And to VERY SIMPLY never have him in the position of being her “guardian.” Further, it would’ve made things a lot better if he was only a few years older than her when they first met. More specifically, if he was 10 when she was five, and again being automatically established as her bodyguard. Then the show could’ve dealt with how he was struggling to commit to his duties as her bodyguard, while also wanting to commit to her romantically. This would have been much more appealing!!
To add to what went wrong, I also didn’t understand, if he has all these appropriately aged attractive women seeking a relationship with him, then why would he want one with someone who’s only 16? It’s incredibly creepy to look at it from his perspective. There were a lot of scenes where Isaku looked very young next to him, and just made it more apparent how inappropriate this love pairing is.
Even further, to how really creepy he was sometimes, when he said, “you grew into the body type I like.” Like WTF?!? That’s really disturbing and just makes the fact that he watched her grow up since she WAS FIVE even worse.
This show is one of the most disappointing I’ve watched in a while because it truly had the potential to be really great. I definitely do not recommend unless you’re into this kind of thing.

Genuinely would give 7.5 if I could!
This was very cute! Charlotte and Allen had great chemistry. More so, I felt the way they developed feelings for one another was well paced! Felt soo natural! They were both so adorable and charming as characters, very easy to watch their story unfold!
The only real critic I have, is that due to the title, I thought this was going to be - naughtier.
I thought we were going to see Allen doing things like making Charlotte hold hands with him, and then building up little moments like that until an eventual kiss by the end.
I
...
was excited to see a slightly more mature romance. And needless to say, this wasn’t it. This is veryyyyyy innocent.
Because of that, I was pretty disappointed, because I felt a bit misled. Despite that, still a captivating story.
I think if you go into it knowing it’s a mild, cutesy romance then there wouldn’t much else to dislike!
Definitely recommend!

This story was absolutely delightful, undoubtedly engaging, and downright fun and wholesome! Truly loved watching it!
Seeing the protagonist Rae continuously profess her love to Claire, and watching Claire’s reactions to Rae being goofy yet endearing was so perfect! Their interactions and chemistry warmed my heart, and had me laughing every episode!
I also really enjoyed how they twisted the stereotypical reverse-Harem Otome game plot line. But with that, I also liked that they didn’t get rid of the “love interest Princes,” but had them become friends instead. To me, that was a nice touch!
I think the other characters in the story were also fun to
...
watch, and I feel like they all played a good role in this show.
Just a few critics, I was sort of hoping that when Rae became friends with the little slime baby that she would then push everybody to stop hunting monsters, and try to find a way to establish peace with them instead.
Also, I feel like magic could’ve been utilized more in this setting. I feel like it was a bit of an afterthought for the most part.
Lastly, I wasn’t super thrilled about Rae becoming Claire’s maid. It would have been one thing if Rae got the job when she didn’t already have feelings for Claire. But, considering she did, and intentionally pursued the job to be closer to Claire was a little uncomfortable for me. Especially during the bath scenes and dressing her.
Besides that, again, still very much enjoyed this show! And would definitely watch this again, and recommend to anyone who hasn’t watched it yet to get it a try!

The title of this should be Apocalypse Stone.
Someone had posted a YouTube video with the caption, “Why isn’t Dr. Stone more popular?” And as someone who never sees people talk about it on my social media platforms, I agree but, I also think I have an answer.
The title. For me, Dr. Stone isn’t very exciting as a title, and after watching season one, I personally think it’s also misleading. I thought that there was an actual doctor doing some form of healing on patients who became part stone. Which, didn’t seem all that interesting to me as a potential viewer.
However, Senku is not a
...
doctor. He’s a scientist who is awakened into a post-apocalyptic world after being petrified into stone for thousands of years. And after so long, everything has become primitive in the absence of society. Thus, he plans to recreate civilization.
That is incredibly intriguing and again that’s why I think “Dr.Stone” doesn’t do the show justice!
With that all covered, I liked the first season. It was a good start, and I am definitely keen on continuing to uncover the many unanswered questions! The characters are likable and entertaining. The protagonist Senku is too. He’s very reminiscent to the protagonist from Food Wars, Yukihira, where they’re both charismatic, and are prodigies at what they do.
The only thing that was frustrating for me was the disagreement between Senku and Tsukasa. It frustrates me because their miscommunication could’ve easily resolved by having an actual conversation and negotiating and compromising on the ideals they had for the future. They could’ve come up with a wondrous world together, where Senko gets his science lead society while Tsukasa also gets his peaceful one. More so, they could’ve revived everyone, but then anyone who threatened to disrupt their peaceful modern world be either exiled or dealt with however they saw fit.
In this instance, what could’ve furthered the plot would then be to have a bunch of people suddenly show up that had been revived before Senku, and plan to take over the world. I think this could have been equally cool to watch.
Back to the actual plot, what was also frustrating to me was that Senku never tried recruiting people from Tsukasa’s side. I feel like a lot of them, if they had the chance, might have been persuaded to join the science nation being built. And too, especially since there are not that many people revived, it’s illogical and wasteful to start a war killing the little amount they have.
I also wish, that for once, they would do shows like this surrounding (at the very least) college students and not teens. In this story, considering how smart Senku is, it would’ve been easy to make him a university student. Also a little more believable to be honest!
Lastly, why are Senku and Taiju the only ones that woke up without the revival juice?
Overall I did enjoy this and do recommend!!
