First off I am not into westerns, but this really hooked me right away. A short foreign man who is always getting himself "hung". A cool girl who often gets into situations that she has to strip at gun point. A cowboy who has his friends backs at all costs. The story is really great and it is not your typical anime that you see out there. The art is sub-par, but the goofiness look of some of the characters makes up for this.

And last but not least, "horse meat" mmm...

This is a mysterious anime and I find it difficult to place a watch it or do not watch it stamp. It is one of those sleepy stories that do not have much of a beginning or an ending. This is kind of an anti-climax anime. The artist leaves a lot of it open for interpretation and what is unique about this one, is that there are several segments that music is playing and scenes are show - during this there is often no dialogue.

The animation was not too bad either.

I was really drawn in by the art and the music/sound of this anime; from episode 1 to episode 3 is as far as I could take though. I am usually patient, but from any given moment it would jump from one character to another and one scene to a different one. The plot and the story have got to be the issue and I refuse to watch this backwards. It really is unfortunate because it had a lot of potential, but the "less is more" quote is what applies best to this, in that the artist(s) should have considered using less. Even if this is supposed to be a backward story, it should still have some glue to hold it together. Skip this one unless you want to put some music on in the background and see some beautiful artwork. Or if you have an inner patience that exceeds mine. read more

I tried to give this series a chance. Over the course of two years I started the anime over and over, to try and find something worth watching. Each time I would restart and after a few episodes, I would lose interest. Today, I made it to five episodes deep and it is the final nail in the coffin. With all the fan fair and reviews, I thought that it would be an epic anime. This just is not the case. In the end the plot and the story were not entertaining for what I expected. The story had potential, but there was very little to hook and draw in the audience. The dialogue is probably what shut this down for me.

This simply gets an overall perfection mark, because it was the first anime that I ever watched and has been over 20 years now since then. However, when you are digging through anime, you really do not find something as epic as this series was very often. Whether you are into robots, storylines, romance or intrigue, this one brings home all the elements to make something tear your heart.

It really does not get much better than this. A great storyline, martial arts and romance. Plus it has english dubs!!!

Don't bother with this one or you will be searching for a reason to watch it like I did.

So far I am enjoying this series. The artwork is great and the artist has taken the time to give background information very quickly to setup the storyline.
