First off I am not into westerns, but this really hooked me right away. A short foreign man who is always getting himself "hung". A cool girl who often gets into situations that she has to strip at gun point. A cowboy who has his friends backs at all costs. The story is really great and it is not your typical anime that you see out there. The art is sub-par, but the goofiness look of some of the characters makes up for this.

And last but not least, "horse meat" mmm...

This is a mysterious anime and I find it difficult to place a watch it or do not watch it stamp. It is one of those sleepy stories that do not have much of a beginning or an ending. This is kind of an anti-climax anime. The artist leaves a lot of it open for interpretation and what is unique about this one, is that there are several segments that music is playing and scenes are show - during this there is often no dialogue.

The animation was not too bad either.

I was really drawn in by the art and the music/sound of this anime; from episode 1 to episode 3 is as far as I could take though. I am usually patient, but from any given moment it would jump from one character to another and one scene to a different one. The plot and the story have got to be the issue and I refuse to watch this backwards. It really is unfortunate because it had a lot of potential, but the "less is more" quote is what applies best to this, in that the artist(s) should have considered using less. Even if this ... is supposed to be a backward story, it should still have some glue to hold it together. Skip this one unless you want to put some music on in the background and see some beautiful artwork. Or if you have an inner patience that exceeds mine.

I tried to give this series a chance. Over the course of two years I started the anime over and over, to try and find something worth watching. Each time I would restart and after a few episodes, I would lose interest. Today, I made it to five episodes deep and it is the final nail in the coffin. With all the fan fair and reviews, I thought that it would be an epic anime. This just is not the case. In the end the plot and the story were not entertaining for what I expected. The story had potential, but there was very little ... to hook and draw in the audience. The dialogue is probably what shut this down for me.

I usually like these type of anime. It just fails at so many levels. The plot is messed up by the horrible comedy. The overall story could have worked, if more thought had been made on giving a purpose for the characters. Instead it is left to a near random and uninteresting chain of events.

A really great series and you can find a dub version out there. I tried to watch this once and discarded it because it had an older artwork look. I came across it again and watched two episodes and was hooked. Not only does it have a great storyline, but it also has some comedy mixed in that makes you laugh. Not many anime actually humor me.
