I haven't seen Fairy Tale to draw comparisons, but to me this feels like "One Piece....in Spaaaaace!". What it does borrow it does well and in some places I think the show is better executed than One Piece.
The first 25 episodes have been able to maintain decent pacing and have both kept my attention and interest. The OST has been decent, and I really liked the first OP. All in all, it's a pretty well executed show.
I really enjoyed this, and look forward to future seasons. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long, though this being a Netflix exclusive in my area has

Mixed Feelings Informative 
I have to deduct several points on behalf of whomever shoved 33 minutes of footage from the 3 seasons into a poorly edited and haphazard mess. I feel sorry for everyone who's been baited into buying a movie ticket for this, when in reality it's a decent OVA with a bunch of rehashed footage in the front to make the runtime movie length.
Given this is titled "Prelude" I find it very dangerous for people who decided to start this story here. There's massive spoilers to the main story without warning in the recap, and it entirely expects you to know so much context before seeing ... |
