Furiko accomplished in 3 seconds more than Shelter did in 6 minutes. Because they are so much shorter they should be far more refined as they are only as long as the animators wanted not to fill a t.v. slot.

Watch Furiko or The House and Small Cubes and compare it to the train wreck Shelter was.

No one thought shelter was 'supposed' to be a masterpiece. When it came out people were commenting everywhere how it made them cry, greatest thing ever. 9 and 10/10s all over the place, wishing it was a full series, etc etc. These ideas cause people to point out why it isn't that great. Funny that you think because something is 6 minutes long it is exempt from criticism. If it is exempt from criticism then you can twist that the other way. How can a 6 minute video be worth a 10/10?

For which anime? And it's because I have somewhat high standards, which is why I rate a lot of things low.

Yeah, it's ridiculous how easily some people give something perfect score on this site. In regard of characters I didn't mention Yukine to avoid possible spoilers but I agree that he was a bitch and a downside to huge portion of the show. I gave 9 not an 8 to music mainly because Noragamis soundtrack was simply different from what I heard before in other anime, it was refreshing. Anyways, thanks for the response. In future reviews I will try to explain main characters a little bit more.

It was made clear to me in the first episode that a Red Data Girl or RDG is known as a girl in danger of extinction. The term comes from a book on endangered wild animals called the Red Data Book. The Red Data Girl is an entity with such rare or unique powers that everyone wants her for themselves. Sounds to me like the name of the series fits with it just fine, and arguably in a clever manner. I've only seen an episode but all the reviews are horribly inaccurate and confusing in comparison to the anime.
