I just finished Macross Frontier.. and read your review :o
I agree with you on most parts, but I find Sheryl Nome a decent character :o

It's a typical 'celebrity' girl character. She's famous and bitchy, but 'deep inside' she's quite fragile. She looks out for Ranka, becuz she somehow recognizes herself in her..
Eventhough she's a star, she can't get the guy she actually wants..
The guy she wants has feelings for Ranka and that makes her jealous and it stings especially becuz Sheryl encouraged Ranka to do stuff :o.

So in short Sheryl's character development wasn't that unrealistic :o. There's even a similar character for example in the show Toradora! (Ami-chan).
But still the character development didn't go 'anywhere' in the show. Loads of things remained unresolved.. I think that's a shame.. I actually liked the show, but things just ruined it for me..

Especially:
1. The music: they force u to listen to uninspired J-pop crap, it ruins action scenes, 'touching' scenes.. bleh
2. Dumb things happened: Leon's assasination plan is found out by Ozma and Cathy.. so they walk into Leon's office to tell him ..They know :o
3. Why was Grace so obsessed with taking over the universe :o and destroying mankind :o?

By the way.. is Euraka 7 really that good? I watched one ep once ..and I'm not sure if I should pick it up..

I read your Gaiking "review"...

I haven't seen Eureka 7 yet, but Gaiking is a good anime for a Remake.

Remake's never do good, the fact that the plot isn't that much, is cause the original story's from the early 70's, most story's sucked back then, well, japanese one's that is..

The animation is bad since it's just a quick marketing anime, just to get some money in the drawer. No one was waiting for a Gaiking remake, tho' it's a mediocre anime, it does good, that it can't compare to nowadays series is a given, since it's ...old... :P

yeah i know how you feel any anime that is in the school/romance catogory screams FANSERVICE..its seem clumbsy air head girls are the only way the japanese can create comedy

Le Chevalier D'Eon was great but best anime ever belongs to Monster or Berserk and 100% AGREE with Paranoia Agent... i hated the main character she was soooo annoying i wanted to strangle her plus the explantion of the event were so retarded

Your opinion of Paranoia Agent sums up exactly how I felt after watching it. T_T

I herad good stuff abt that of course so i added but then i removed it cause read somewhere that it's mad slow and honestly i hate that genre. lol. seriously.

I don't think clannad's that deragotry towards woman, if you wnat to see deragatory kanon 2006. like... it's just not sad and i hate nayuki's mom... just nothing relaly happens other than "omg it's sad" without the "sad part" or "trying to be sad part"
