D.Gray-man and Naruto are both popular shonen mangas with the same theme. There is a teenage boy with powers granted to him, and he is working with others to take down an evil organization. However, the reason why I think DGM is most similar to Naruto instead of Bleach or One Piece, is because of the extensive backstory and history. As you get further into Naruto, you learn about the sage of the six paths and Madara Uchiha and all of the shinobi wars. You don't see a huge history very often in shonen manga. However, in DGM, as you dig deeper you will read about the conspiracies behind parts of the plot that you already new, and how the plot twists when you learn about the past. DGM has a large history to it too, and that is why I believe it is good to read after Naruto. DGM is also a little more mature than most shonen, in the sense that it is complicated and much much more than just a boy fighting demons.
