yeah man, it's definitely a great place to purchase anime and anime-related stuff. i've been using it for a couple of years now and quite literally use them for almost everything. i purchase the majority of my anime as well, but unfortunately not everything gets an english region release and for those things i have no choice -- either i stream it and watch it or i don't and never see it. for example i own the DVD set for the show xxxholic and its movie xxxholic: a midsummer night's dream, however xxxholic: kei (season 2), xxxholic: shunmuki (OVA, after season 2), xxxholic: rou (OVA, basically season 3) have never been licensed for an english region release. there are bootlegs floating around on the internet from places like malaysia, but i'd really rather not support those people. if they do ever come out properly i will absolutely purchase them, but it was either watch them so i could finish the story or wait -- and i could've been waiting a long time as who knows if a company will ever purchase the rights to release them, you know?

i'm not sure if you've checked out my anime list or my wimpy manga list yet, but under your profile editing options, under 'my list settings,' you can edit the fields you want displayed on your lists. i removed "tags" from my anime list and "priority" from my manga list because i never use them. i actually ended up adding "storage" to my anime list because i use this website to keep track of not only everything i've seen or plan to see, but also my personal collection (when adding shows you can input how many retail DVDs you own for the show -- there's no spot for blu-rays so i just input them as DVDs).

but yeah man! it's a pretty cool website. i'm definitely enjoying my time here at MAL and hopefully you will as well. let me know if you ever have any more questions or just want to BS! haha
