One of the better hentai out there!

Euphoria is the Saw of hentai anime. You wake up, you don't know where you are or what's going on. Then you learn that you're in a game of life and death and if you want to survive, you are forced to have sex (or r*pe) and impregnate one (or all) of the females who are in the game trapped with you or else everyone dies.

It's a cool concept and feels fresh in the hentai genre which is filled with predictable plots and one dimensional characters, but that's not all it gets better with Euphoria. This anime is based ... on a videogame visual novel in which the decisions of the player lead to different paths with different outcomes and the anime tries to capture the same experience by showing different routes, or to be more specific, different girls to have sex with per episode and so it advances the story.

Whether this direction for the show was the right choice is debatable, the story is a mess because of the episodic nature and some girls get way more development than others but then again this is probably the only way for the protagonist to have his way with all of the girls while still keeping the story interesting. Euphoria tries to connect every episode by showing scenes and flashbacks which Keisuke, the protagonist, remembers and supposedly happened during the episodes but we just don't get to see them because of time constraints and a tight budget.

Honestly, I appreciate the effort that went into the story but that's because I'm familiar with visual novels and know how unadaptable they can be, even though I didn't play the game but for anybody who doesn't know these facts or doesn't care about the game they might actually hate the plot lol.

The characters are not amazing, we have four minor female students; a villain, a love interest, a loli and a tsundere. Then there's the one and only milf teacher of the show who goes along with everything without any resistance or solutions whatsoever lol. Out of these the teacher and loli don't really add much to the story, they're just there for variety of the viewer and really for Keisuke. Keisuke is your typical nice and shy Japanese guy who slowly turns into an anti-hero because of the situation he's in. The tsundere is the most interesting and contributes to the story in a nice way she also turned out to be my favorite hentai character! While the characters start off as one dimensional its gets way better during later episodes.

That's pretty much what makes Euphoria stand out because aside from the story and characters, it's your average hentai with some extreme but minor scenes of scat and gore but I think Euphoria is pretty tame in those aspects, at least the anime don't know about the game. The art direction and animations are also great with no repeated frames or inconsistencies and the voice acting is pretty good too.

I higly recommend this hentai for the plot, characters and variety of hentai scenes!

I was pleasantly surprised with Your Name but I don't love it and here is why.

I'd recommend anybody to give Your Name a chance just for the amazing art direction and animation. This movie is definitely top 3 anime visuals I've seen along with Spirited Away and Akira. However just like these two movies, the story and characters lacks depth, the plot isn't very well explained and the characters come off as anime stereotypes.

Both Taki and Mitsuha are bored of their everyday lifes and wish for a more exciting life... And one day it magically happens they both wake up having their bodies swapped without ... having any connection to each other and get to experience life from the opposite gender point of view. At this point the concept is nothing strange or new so it doesn't need any explaining because there are lots of body swapping stories in other media most of which are not taken very seriously especially if its from male to female swapping perspectives and when they are taken seriously it's usually the same old lesson that being a Man or Woman is not as easy or as fun as you'd thought it was. Which is also somewhat the case in Your Name showing how Japan is still a very traditional society with clear gender roles along with their own expectations and struggles and also the differences of living in a small town and in a big city.

What keeps the story interesting is how Taki and Mitsuha slowly start to like and trust each other without ever meeting in person. They get to share their boring life's, their friends and families and even see and touch their private body parts without permission it's really cute and funny! The problem starts with the second act, the story decides to ignore it's simple premise and goes heavy into time travel, an upcoming disaster, their past getting explained for no reason, Mitsuhas father being the bad guy for losing a loved one from the past it's just too much going on here and loses the focus of the initial simple story the movie had. Worst of all, the characters just go along with everything that's happening they could've communicated with each other right from the start but they don't until it's no longer possible, for a while... It's never explained how or why they can see each other the one moment and then the other they can't and outright forget each others names which is what the whole movie is about, remembering Your Name.

I would like to go on and rant about how the plot doesn't make any sense but honestly if you turn off your brain and just accept the movie for what it is you'll have a good time with it. What saved the movie for me was it's ending. Usually, movies with so many unanswered questions like Your Name end just like that with no satisfying explanation but I really liked the ending even if nothing makes sense anymore. I didn't like the soundtrack it was very distracting in my opinion but like I said the real magic here are the visuals and I recommend it just for that and the silly but fine ending.

Kawajiri's Masterpiece!

Bloodlust is a sequel to the '85 OVA and is based on the third VHD novel but you don't have to watch nor read any of the earlier releases to enjoy this one.

Young lady Charlotte gets kidnapped by the Noble vampire Meier Link because he wants to marry her. D, the half vampire half human vampire hunter accepts a deal to find Charlotte and bring her back home for a lot of money and because of personal reasons as well. What D doesn't realize is that the Marcus Brothers, a group of human vampire hunters, are also hired to bring Lady Charlotte back and ... thus we have a rivalry between the two vampire hunters.

The animation is what you'd expect from Madhouse + Kawajiri... Perfection, the aestethic is exactly what i associate with good anime. It's very colorful and very similar to Ninja Scroll in terms of art direction and character designs. Action scenes are very well paced and animated there are no flaws to see here!

What i really like about this movie is that it's not just about D and the villain Meier Link... Charlotte, Leila, the Marcus Brothers, Link's goons, everybody has their own goals and relationships and make themselves useful in this movie. Our protagonist, D has good reasons to save Charlotte, first he obviously needs money but also because he doesn't want more half vampire breeds, like himself, to exist and suffer as much as he does. It's definitely an improvement over his 1985 version but still some things aren't explained like his left hand but that will probably never be explained in anime form.

One nitpick i have is we never get to see a certain fight which would've been awesome but for some reason was cut short probably due to budget or something, but the ending does make up for it so i still had to give it a 10/10.

This movie is so good it's probably the best anime movie i've seen, it has everything i like i really don't get the low average rating.

If you like Berserk then you should definitely watch Rose of Versailles!

Oscar is born into nobility and is the 5th daughter of General de Jarjeyes who always desired a son who can take him over as Commander. So the General decides to raise Oscar as a boy and fully train her into a royal guard. Meanwhile Austrian Princess, Marie Antoinette, comes to France to marry Prince Louis. Lady Antoinette is a young princess who doesn't really know how nor does she desires to act like a Queen and ends up making lots of selfish choices which cause lots of frustration and rebellion amongst the ... French people.

The art is dated by todays standards, the characters have this cutesy big eyes and pointy chins and some of the characters look too similar to each other but it's far from bad. The animation is top tier quality for a series from the 70's none of the frames are looped or recycled. The voiceacting is superb! The music is mostly the same tracks used in every episode but it's not annoying and it fits the era the show is based on and with a memorable opening theme song.

There are so many well written characters to talk about in this show but to keep it short, the main characters are Oscar, Andre and Antoinette. Lady Oscar is a very unique individual, she's born a female but raised as a male and has to keep up with her duties as guard of the French royalty. She is not insecure about her gender and is not afraid to speak up her mind when she has to. Despite being a noble, she shows compassion towards common people and tries to understand their struggles while trying to keep the future Queen Antoinette in the right path which becomes increasingly more difficult as Antoinette gets easily manipulated by nobles with bad intentions. One thing i don't like is how almost everybody Oscar meets gets so "charmed" by her mere presence and looks. I get that Oscar is really beautiful but it gets kind of annoying after a while.

Princess Antoinette is actually a real life historical person which shows how serious this show takes the history of France and it's notable people. She was supposed to be the protaganist of the manga which is why the early episodes are mostly about her and it might turn some people off. Antoinette is spoiled, self centered, naive and just not as interesting as Oscar. What makes her arcs so good are the rivalries she forms during her new life in France. She's not a bad person perse just young and misguided which is why she ends up making lots of bad choices.

Andre is the servant of the de Jarjeyes family manor and is commanded by the General to protect and serve Lady Oscar with his life. He enjoys his job as he gets to be close to Oscar whom he secretly admires but tries to ignore his own feeligns because Oscar doesn't want to be viewed as a woman. Andre doesn't have any personal goals other than to protect Oscar, he might seem like the least interesting of the cast but the dynamic relationship he has with Oscar and the people they meet along the way is what makes him so likeable. This is where the similarities between Oscar and Andre and Griffith and Guts show a lot. It's not just these two characters either, many events in this short anime are what mostly likely inspired Berserk the Golden Age Arc.

There is so much to talk about this anime but in short, Rose of Versailles was way ahead of it's time in terms of storytelling, direction and aiming manga/anime towards adolescent audiences and it all worked out really well. The love triangles, the tragedy the drama and historical events it's all so tightly written. The show is filler-free and while the early episodes are a bit slow its gets better with each episode. It's a shame Rose of Versailles is niche, kind of forgotten because it didn't take off in the west and released way before the 80's anime boom. Still this is one of the very best anime i've ever seen i can't recommend it enough!!

The Best Season of the Series!

This is the season which many consider either to be the peak of classic Sailor Moon anime or the point where they start to lose interest. I consider it to be the best but i can understand some of the frustrations some fans have with not necessarily this season but with the Sailor Moon anime adaptation as a whole. After 3 seasons Sailor Moon is still mostly the same. The whole formulaic monster of the week trope is still here but with different villains and different goals, also the only characters who get any meaningful development aside from new power ... ups or comedic focused episodes are Sailor Moon, Chibi-Usa, Sailor Uranos, Sailor Neptune and Sailor Saturn. Even Mamoru Tuxedo Mask was more of a background character this season.

In this season the new villains are looking for the three talismen which together form the Holy Grail and with the Holy Grail they can control the world. One of the main villains, professor Souichi Tomoe, is hilarious! He enjoys being a cartoon villain without any self awareness and it works the way he keeps laughing at his own failures never getting angry or depressed makes him so enjoyable to watch. The art is on par with Sailor Moon R pretty good and it gets even better during the finale episodes. The music is incredible and my favorite out of all the seasons, it's like a mix of orchestrated and upbeat 90's pop rock with beautiful vocals.

Usagi is still her usual self, she is clumsy and naive like always and is shown in this season to even go as far as almost cheating on Mamoru which is hilarious given the circumstances in the episode. Her relationship with Mamoru is still cute and strong but also has some dramatic moments. But she also shows her friends that she wants to change her clumsy behavior and wants to be a better person. Sailor Moon gets a new form that makes her stronger but also, i don't know, still the same i guess? This idea from the 90's where everything has to have a "Super" form or transformation worked very well for other anime like DBZ but in Sailor Moon it's not all that memorable. There is also a subplot of finding the "Messiah" which ends up being very obvious and lackluster of how things wrap up in the finale.

Chibi-Usa is back and has matured quite a bit since R. This time she actually has her own Sailor Soldier transformation and is even cuter than before with her silly attacks. The 4 original Sailor Soldiers do get their own dedicated episodes, most of which, are fillers but despite that they're really worth watching. Sailor Mars keeps getting visions of the end of the world and tries to warn the others about this but doesn't really do much about it as the show continues. Venus gets an episode in which she is sad that the villains don't go after her pure heart. I'm not a fan of how Venus is now even dumber than Usagi sometimes but i do like the episode where she dressed up as Sailor Moon it was really fun.

Sailor Uranus and Neptune episodes are the best part of this season along with Sailor Pluto and Saturn joining later on. Uranus and Neptune have clear goals and don't play around, they don't act with their emotions unlike the Sailor Soldiers which might make them seem cold and maybe even look like bad guys but they are actually friendly as long as you don't get in their way. They're also hinted to be lovers which was unexpected, especially at the time this released but it's handled with such class that makes this season so cool and memorable.

Obviously, both the Inner and Outer Senshi don't make the connection of their secret identities until the last arc but by now that is how Sailor Moon works. Sailor Pluto is back from R and shows to be very capable of fighting and defending the planet. She doesn't say much but like Uranus and Neptune, she prioritizes her mission before anything else and is the most mature and most respected of the team, i really like the relationships in this season.

Finally, Sailor Saturn is the only one that's a wasted character. Hotaru is very shy and lovely and because of her past she doesn't really know how to act around people. I don't know if Sailor Moon S went overbudget but i really wanted to see Saturn do more other than just talk and then disappear.

In conclusion, Sailor Moon S is a good balace of drama and comedy, the characters have clear goals and dynamic relationships, the music is my favorite yet, the storytelling is very tight despite having the least amount of episodes this is definitely the strongest and my favorite season. But the Messiah subplot didn't have any major impact. Also the ending with the villains, Sailor Saturn and Sailor Moon was incredibly disappointing, it could've been so much better. It didn't have to end like Seasons 1 and 2 but it could've shown even just a bit more than it did. Despite that, this is the most fun i've had watching Sailor Moon yet.

Big improvement over Season 1!

The first thing that i noticed is the improved art direction and animation, the music is also good though I prefer some of the original soundtrack. Clearly, Sailor Moon R has a higher budget and is being taken more seriously than its first season.

While season 1 lacked any real character development outside of its fillers, in R Sailor Venus is shown to be, in some ways, more like Usagi as in clumsy, sometimes dumb but with a big heart and good intentions. I actually prefer her as the "boring" most mature girl of the group of the first season even though ... many don't like this, why would you want to have two Usagi's in the group? But I still like her anyways. It's a shame the other Soldiers didn't get as much development other than new powers which are all cool.

Chibi-Usa is the best and worst part of Season 2 she adds so much to the lore and world of Sailor Moon and is actually funny and cute most of the time. But she's also the reason for dumbing down the show even more than before. Whenever you get a Chibi-Usa centric episode it's pretty much about her mission to save her parents and the future, which yeah is the whole theme of this season, but in order to do that she needs to find Sailor Moon to help her save the future. Obviously, she doesn't make the connection between the Sailor Soldiers and Usagi and her friends until much later... When she finally finds out she is so shocked and crying and my reaction was literally, Really? Now you noticed?

Yeah, I know she's a kid and too young to see the obvious, and i know that the immediate connection would spoil the whole story but it's quite unbelievable at times. Chibi-Usa is also the reason for the filler Beach episode, which many consider to be the worst Sailor Moon episode ever. I really didn't mind it, like what can you expect from fillers anyways? Speaking of fillers, the first mini arc in this season is all filler but it's surprisingly short and a nice watch! I can't say that for the other fillers though.

Mamoru (and his future self) also annoy me quite a bit here, Mamoru decides to distance himself from Usagi in order to protect her from his nightmares becoming reality. I get that he doesn't understand what's going to happen to Usagi, but couldn't he just be more direct about it instead of causing all kinds of confusion and then later giving up because his alter ego Tuxedo can't stop saving Sailor Moon. Also the explanation his future self gives for the nightmares is also pretty stupid.

However, this does up the romance and drama in Sailor Moon overall which is why I really liked R. It has better action scenes, the villains are so much more interesting this time and both Usagi and Mamoru actually get to express their love for each other quite a few times instead of just hinting at it.

Sailor Moon R is almost perfect and a big improvement over Season 1. I would give it a 9 if it weren't for the high number of fillers but anyways it's definitely recommended!

Sailor Moon is a charming show ruined by way too much filler.

Back when I first watched Sailor Moon in it's entirety, i had no idea what fillers were. I just thought that some of these episodes were literally boring uninspired ideas written by the mangaka. But no, turns out that these are anime only and Sailor Moon is probably one of the worst offenders in anime filler history.

Right from the start the second episode is filler and it's pretty fun but then you'll find out that the story and characters don't progress until episode 8 because it has so many fillers, and not just bad ... filler but the worst kind of mixed canon/non canon fillers for no reason at all other than to drag the show out. Some filler episodes are worth watching just for the comedic value, sub plots and lots of white panties shots but also for some actual character development between the Sailor Soldiers which the canonical episodes lack... But then what's the point if none if these events are actually canon and have no impact on the main story?

The story and villains aren't Sailor Moon's strong points. It has very predictable and formulaic storytelling; here is the new monster of the week, Sailor Soldiers show up, they struggle, Tuxedo Mask shows up, Sailor Soldiers win and rinse and repeat. What makes Sailor Moon so charming are it's memorable cast, the japanese voice acting is good and funny, especially Usagi. I also prefer the 90's pop music and art style over Crystal, the light hearted comedy balanced with some serious moments and the chemistry between the characters makes it worth watching.

Season 1 is a good introduction to Sailor Moon's lore, characters and the impact it made for the girl power and magical girl genre in animation in general, it really is a phenomenal series.
However, because of it's heavy focus on comedy and less on character development, formulaic nature, deviation from the manga and heavy fillers I would recommend to watch Sailor Moon Crystal right after finishing this season if you're interested in a more accurate adaptation of the manga.

It's fine only if you're more interested in the art and animation but not at all for it's story and characters.

I don't know why so many artsy anime like Akira, GITS and Spirited Away forget that most people don't just watch anime for it's art style, high quality animation, voice acting and sound design. The main characters should first and foremost be defined by their goals or struggles and how they overcome them which makes the characters relatable or at least somewhat interesting to the viewer.

Nothing of the sort applies to Spirited Away because it's basically the Japanese Alice in Wonderland where nothing is ... supposed to make sense and is full of dream like LSD trips and then when you start getting some answers the protagonist returns to her own world like nothing ever happened.

The animation literally carries this movie and it's at least more bearable than Akira. So don't expect too much and you'll be fine!

Holic is one of those animes where I would recommend the dub over sub because the voice actors are so much more charming and actually funny whereas the Japanese actors are either incredibly annoying or just boring. Yes, Watanuki is supposed to be loud and awkward but he just sounds so much more natural in dub and I usually avoid dubs like the virus.

Teenager Watanuki is used to seeing spirits or ghosts who always annoy him so one day he runs away and meets Yuko the milf witch. Watanuki ends up working for Yuko and she makes him do her chores, cooking and assist her ... with helping customers who seek help with their dark secrets, addictions, bad habits, ghostly sightings etc.

The first episode is lacking but you'll get what this show is about after episode two. Yuko has her way of helping her customers by giving them a choice, either do it yourself or I'll help you with your problem for a payment. She doesn't take actual money but valued personal items. This is cool and actually has a purpose near the end of the show but it just takes too long for anything to happen, sometimes you'll finally get to see a bit of Watanuki's past or Yuko's purpose and then the episode just ends.

It's incredibly boring at times the main characters, while memorable, usually don't do anything other than talk, walk and make fun of Watanuki. Repeat. Worst thing is that while there is a storyline connected with another show Tsubasa Chronicles, you barely get to see any of the crossovers in here unlike in the manga or in the Tsubasa anime. Fans of CLAMP will recognize references to Cardcaptor Sakura and Magic Knight Rayearth but I wouldn't say it's worth watching this show just for that and the episodic narrative also doesn't help cause the stories and villains/customers aren't interesting and the main cast besides Yuko doesn't seem to have any clear motivations to be involved in all of this until the very end of the season.

Then there is the weird art style, I never minded it but I'm sure lots of viewers will be disgusted with the overly long and skinny limbs it actually looks weird, except for Yuko she is a milf of course. I do like the dark tone and the mystery vibe but it pays off by going back to weak comedy skits with Watanuki being an idiot as usual. The music is nice, I like the ending song.

Overal you can waste your time on this anime but I wouldn't recommend it.

Keiichi meets the Goddess Belldandy and asks her to stay at his side forever... So where do you go from there? This is a very cheerful and comedic anime with a bit of drama in every episode to keep things interesting.

Honestly the first episode failed to impress me because Keichii is your typical wimpy male protagonist who is easily shocked about everything and Belldandy is your lovely soft anime waifu who never gets angry about anything. It does get better in episode 2 though, more comedy, more drama, the characters experience growth and mature over each episode and become more relatable as a couple ... with the challenges they face, like a being harassed by bullies/haters, jealous sisters and things like that though it does feel like an eternity for anything to happen between Keiichi and Bell.

Belldandy's sisters, Urk and the other whose name I forgot are also part of the story and are quite likeable at first but you'll soon realize that their only purpose is to either make or break the relationship of Keichii and Bell. After their own character specific episode ends they become stale DBZ side characters where they really don't matter much to the plot anymore other than to be around the MCs. What's even worse is that they even lose a bit of the personality that made them so unique, they all become these generic caring and supportive side characters with no goals or real reason to be there.

The story starts simple enough but the final episode adds a twist that kinda ruins everything and the ending is unsatisfying. The art style is very 90's, nice to look at but for some reason each episode looks worse than the previous one.

The last episode looks absolutely awful, characters like Urk that used to look beautiful and hot look less detailed and rushed like the production team was on a very tight budget or something. The music isn't memorable.

Overal, the show had potential but it was wasted by not taking it's time to develop it's characters more and keep them consistent. Also the story gets convoluted for no reason it should've kept it simple.
