lol ik... u just seemed angry on forum. It's just me not taking taking it seriously, not that I condon rape. Just that I tried to understand where hentai and rape in RL converge, if they even.. U can ignore me ;D
I'm not sure if you'd like any of my favourite anime. You might, but it's hard to say. Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei is very dialogue heavy and the subtitles can be hard to keep up with. The visuals are artsy and not very anime-like, so that might take getting used to. FLCL is just zany fun, but it can be a bit too crazy for some people. Penguindrum is all about family; belonging, sacrifice, love, and those sorts of themes. It has a ton of visual symbolism and is pretty powerful (despite being far from perfect).
That's a hard one, Durarara!! has such a good cast. If I had to choose, probably Celty and then Mikado. I'm surprised that you started it and never finished. I got completely hooked after the first the few episodes.
I never really got into Western TV shows, no. Pretty much the only things I watch besides anime are sports and the odd movie/documentary. What about you?
It's definitely tough to balance ambitious dreams with real life. You could always try to get an, "easy," job and then work on graphic novels on the side. I don't know if that's reasonable, though. I'm not exactly the best person to give life advice, haha.
Even though the main characters of both series are skimpily dressed for basically no reason, fan-service isn't the point of either show. You (probably) won't be disappointed with Michiko, haha.
My two main areas of interest are environmental economics (working on the climate change problem, specifically) and public economics (social programs and income redistribution, specifically). I'd like to work in one of those areas, which usually entails working for the government or an international organization. Getting a government job is usually quite a bit easier, so I'm hoping to start there.
And ah, I see. Money is indeed important. Being stuck in an indecisive phase is the worst, so I hope that you figure out your next step soon! Perhaps you can find some college programs that actually interest you?
Clannad's not that great actually, haha. I just so happened to get really into it at the time. I wouldn't recommend it before I'd recommend dozens of other things.
My main other hobbies are reading, listening to music, and playing various sports. I haven't spent too much time reading recently, but I usually do a lot of it over the holidays. Can't wait for Christmas break.

I read a mix of non-fiction and fiction, but I prefer fiction. Mostly literary fiction, like the kinds of books you read in english class, haha.
I'm in college. I recently started my Masters in economics, which has been interesting so far. What about yourself? College, work, neither?
