Yeah I'm going to slow down on watching airing anime I'm watching too much so I end up with a lot of shite. I really don't look forward completing Sagrada Reset for instance with 24-25 episodes or something, its really bad. Maybe should drop it. Yeah I saw all of Shokugeki no Soma as well it was really fun. I almost finished Capeta now. Even tho they often play the same songs and the voice acting isn't great its still most fun series about racing that I've seen. Actually don't know any other series like this.
Ramon Jul 9, 2017 3:45 PM
Im watching Capeta and Mushishi at the moment. Kinda slacking off on Mushishi didn't watch in a while but its a great show, I love it, one of my favourites. Just don't want to marathon or binge this one so its taking me a while. Capeta is really nice cause its about racing. Its about a guy that starts karting and hopes to become a professional racer. Since you know Im interested in racing I really like the anime haha. Probably gonna watch Initial D as well at some point when I finish Capeta. Other than that Im watching some shows that are airing at the moment. Nothing really worth mentioning so far I guess. Tsuki ga Kirei seems to be really good this season but still have to finish that one some time. I haven't seen jormungand or nichijou but I heard nichijou is supposed to be great.

Also a quick reaction for me. Happy Easter!

I have recently applied for a study place for the medicine course at the university of Groningen, the biggest city in my neighborhood. And I really hope I will be selected because being a doctor is kind of my dream.
Especially this course is awesome as it's completely focused at international relations and development.

Sooooo, I have finally finished Steins;Gate. Don't really know how to describe my feelings about it. At one side I absolutely loved it, I really liked the time-travelling thing with the different world lines. Also, I thought the thing with his own blood at the beginning and the end were very well executed.
What I did't like was the "and they lived happily ever after"-thing. Kind of like Angel Beats! If she just had died it would have been a lot better. (Sounds kind of brutal doesn't it?)

To start of with your first point, of cource I know TUdelft, I've really considered going to study there. But I don't like a technologian study that much so I guess it just isn't for me. Don't you want to be a pilot?

This summer vacation will probably be a very good anime time for me, I expect my to watch list to be non-existent when it ends because I will only be a week or so on holiday, instead of the usual 4 weeks to Italy of Swiss, we are thinking of going to New York for a week. So after that I wil be completely free.

Bako to testo will definetely have a third season, it has been licensed all over the world and the sales are overwhelming. Almost like One Piece's sales in Japan itself.
But I guess they first want to have a lot of source material before they make another anime.

I dropped Z/X Ignition because sometimes you just see something and you think "This is just not for me" and that was the case for me. Normally I am not that fond of card games adaptions and try to avoid them, so that was another argument.

I have just seen Date a Live 2 ep 2, really liked it but I am not going to spoil you as I see you haven't yet seen it.

Well guess that it that for tonight. It's 3 am over here, but I promised I did comment tonight. Sorry for the awfull lot of spelling mistakes but my spellingchecker on my browser is set to Dutch at the moment and I am to lazy to turn it to English.

Nice Strange+ review.
PersonX Mar 10, 2014 4:41 PM
Yo, as I said, I have also been quite busy lately. I got my final exams coming up in May for starters. And next week are my last midterms (which make up 1/3 of my final marks) , so I have to study a lot for that too. But after all that, I will have a sweet, sweet long holiday of almost 3 months. Do you already know what to do after high school?

Anyway, to get to the anime.
Still haven't made much progress with Steins;Gate, I think I am going to delay that one to said mega-holiday. It's to bad, because I really enjoy watching it but I simply don't have enough time right now. At least I really have something to watch forward to.

However! Baka to testo! I think the Hideyoshi gender joke is one of the best running jokes in all the anime I have seen up until now, except maybe the invicible girl Akarin from Yuru Yuri, though I am not quite sure if you have seen that (anyway, here's the link to the anime, it is greaaaat, Slice of live (don't know if you really like that genre, it's my personal favorite though) with a third season coming up. http://myanimelist.net/anime/10495/Yuru_Yuri )

Also, I see that you're watching Date A Live, what do you think of it so far? I really liked the first 8 or so episodes, after that it felt rushed and only going for high sales (which it really got), thankfully it has a second season coming up, so that's always nice.

I also see that you rated Mirai Nikki 8/10. What were you thoughts after the final few episodes? My mind was honestly full of what. It was only after they recently released REDIAL that my mind had some rest regarding this.

Then, finally Kill La Kill. I really think they screwed the past 3 episodes up, and hard. It just felt to rushed to actually be good and nice: Matoi only knows she is Satsuki's daughter (/sister) for 2 (or so) episodes, and she has already switched sides about 4 times and her realation with the god-robes 8. (Yes that is an "hyperbool", sorry don't know the nice English term for exaggeration). But, I am really looking forward to the last few episodes.

To round this long awaited comment of, I have some recommendations for you from this season. According to your list you aren't watching either of these (so you've really been missing out).

1. Toaru Hikuushi e no Koiuta (aka The pilot's love song)(http://myanimelist.net/anime/19117/Toaru_Hikuushi_e_no_Koiuta) It is pretty similar to Shingeki no Kyojin in my opinion only not with quick manouvre gear but with planes. It is really full of plot twists and pretty well done drama.

2. Nisekoi: Don't know if you like lovely dovely drama anime, otherwise known as plain Shojo. But if you do (and even if you don't because you can't miss this one(!)) this is really an anime for you to watch. It is like a combination of Angel Beats!, Campione! and Another. With the best aspects of these masterworks bundled in one!
Anyway, you should go watch it: http://myanimelist.net/anime/18897/Nisekoi

Well, it you think I have been missing a anime out this season, please tell me so. I always have time for a airing anime.

That's that! Catch you later!
PersonX Feb 26, 2014 4:13 PM
It has sure been a long time. The reason why haven't messaged you was that I was participating in the selection procedure for the bachelor in medicine here, to have something of a change, I needed to study a lot and writing a comment here just was to stressful for a month. Anyway, that is all behind me now, and I am currently on vacation so I thought I did write you again.

To comment on your most recent message on Skype, No. I haven't yet finished Stein;Gate. Just to bad, because it surely is a very good anime. But I really want to be in the mood when I am watching it, because it sometimes has some really difficult scenes. The last episode I watched was when -- I assume, as you have Stein;Gate in your finished list, that you have seen it, otherwise don't read it's a mayor spoiler. I think --

So what did you think of Baka to test? I see you have only seen the first season though. I thought it was really great, especially the inside jokes that they kept making as they advanced towards the seasons end.

And what do you think of Mirai Nikki thus far?

Finally, KILL LA KILL.
Shit is going down there like it's the fin de monde. Really like how they are putting in effort to describe as many details as possible without boring anyone, the characters and voice acting also match the story incredibly well.

Well, that's for a start. I think we have lots to update each other on, sorry it's been this long.

Well, that sure was a intense midterms. As such, I haven't been able to properly write a decent comment on your message. Also, I seem to constantly forget about being only in Skype, but I have found a cure for that.
I will be writing a good reply to you maybe tomorrow or the day after that, because I still have some exams this tomorrow.
Anyway, I have watched untill episode 9 of Stein;Gate, how are you doing with it? I noticed you moved it to your On-Hold list. I really think it is a anime with of potential. But I won't spoil anything.

Well, just wanted to drop that, look forward to my incoming comment soon and me being online in Skype.
PersonX Jan 10, 2014 4:23 PM
Okay, here I go. I still am still am in the middle of midterms. But on a Friday night I think I deserved a little breathing space and some nice anime time. I also just heard I passed the highest English exam they are able to train me for at my school, with a score of 74/100, so I'm now officially at C2 level English (according to Cambridge University). Just wanted to brag a little about that, I'm sorry.

Yeah, surely I've seen Machine-doll. I thought the first story arcs were great, but as the story expanded, it turned worse (especially the last three episodes, after the attempted murder of the headmaster by Tirant-rex). In the end, the only good thing about Machine-doll was the humor surrounding Yaya's behavior (I have really been crying of laughter with some scenes (my personal two favorites): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFldOVMFdC4 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zylST3YQ7kU . But I would never have guessed that was the voice of Takashi. And, after checking it here, I came to the conclusion, that's not entirely true nor false.

Takashi, main male lead of HOTD, was primarily voiced by Junichi Suwabe, who has also voiced a siderole in machine-doll. (http://myanimelist.net/people/95/Junichi_Suwabe) I can't find another role you heard him in, but that's not the point.
Hitomo Harada (http://myanimelist.net/people/8030/Hitomi_Harada) also voiced Takashi. But not during the entire anime, probably only in one episode, when he needed to scream or something like that. In other words, though she is his voice actor, she isn't really. (Note that she does voice the dog :P)

Ehm, I do have a skype account, but I'm almost never online. Scratch that, I haven't been online for a year and a half. But if it is easier to talk like that, then I don't mind logging in more often, I don't have a webcam anymore though. I haven't ever been in the G+ thing so that's not going to work I think. Maybe Facebook would be the best idea, at least for me, most of the time I'm online there. Anyway, let's hear that from you.

I've been reading some history books of my school, I just realized I put it a bit to firmly (if that's the world), claiming that's about the choices of Hitler, it's about the war on the Eastern front, and I checked for you, it's only in Dutch. I don't really feel like writing a part of a history essay here right now though, so I'll have to ask you to be patient for my comment on the choices thing.
One thing that I would like to comment on however, is that you claimed that the atomic bombs on Hirushima and Nagisagi claimed "killing millions", but there were 'only' about 250.000 direct causalities, and maybe a million death in total as a result to radiation etc.
Well, that't that. You will hear more from this part again in the near future.

By the way, I don't really like Railgun, the plot is chaotic and unbelievable and the characters are annoying. I guess I will finish it anyway, because a friend said it will get better very soon.

Concerning Aoki. I think I got your point. I noticed you compared it to Kill la Kill, so let's have my favorite complication first: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-KILqk1Bvk to talk in her words: "this is totes fun".
But my own argument on Aoki was on the computer/mental model thing. I thought that was weak. I am not saying the character development was weak, on the opposite, I actually thought that was very well done, just like you are saying with the shyness (as a weapon) of Iona in the beginning which is growing into self-assurance, resulting in winning the battles against all other fog. Sure.
But my point was, that I didn't like the last episode, with the psychical contact being the solution and her weak point. I agree on you about that's just a result of character development but as I said, they are mental models! Computers! Can you imagine your laptop talking to you? I hope that cleared it up a little bit, but I think it's just gibberish.

btw, Noucome has had insanely high sales for some weeks in a row, so I think we should expect a second season.

Lastly, what did you think about episode 13 from Kill la Kill and Golden Time? I thought they both were very good! Very well done in means of story development, sadly though I don't like the new opening and ending from Golden Time.
PersonX Jan 6, 2014 4:54 PM
I'm very sorry for my lack of comments so far. But I've just rolled out of the festivities and entered midterms. So i won't be able to properly respond for another week. But I will try to do so as quick as possible.

I wil only drop that really liked the first 6 episodes of S;G. I haven't had time to read your entire comment though. But I saw you said you liked (what a nice construction) Noucoume. I'm currently reading a book on the choices Hitler made with Stalinrad, so next week (prop Friday) I will write something nice about that, because I don't agree with you on what you stated.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
