Watch if you've seen Shippuden up to episode 122.
If you're reading this you probably want to know if it's worth your time. If you liked the other shippuden movies then yes. If not, then no. Done. It's only filler.

No plot summary because plot summaries are so boring and pointless to a review, I wan't everyone to stop doing it.
Every Naruto movie is just a well animated and decent filler. This one is no different. I really appreciated how each of Naruto's peers had at least 1 attack / time to shine, if only for 3 seconds. I gave it a 6 because that was the average of my other scores (4 story, 10 art, 8 sound, 5 character, 6 enjoyment).
Also let me preface that a 5 isn't bad, unlike so many mal users seem to think. use your damn heads. 5 is average, middle of the road, not good but not bad. There are an equal number of things worse than it as there are things better.

4 for story because it was less than average, but not that bad. It was more a vehicle for carrying characters into cool events and cheesy messages about friendship.

10 Art because it's the best Nartuo's visuals have and will ever be (Referring to all the movies as a whole)

5 for sound because it didn't stand out. They used standard recording equipment and these things will never truly sound good unless you have expensive audio hardware. Which I don't.

5 for Characters because they weren't any different from their usual selves. They acted pretty average.

6 for enjoyment, would be 5 but that Kakashi x Naruto skit at the end was golden and made the movie worth it. Also Shino is sassy as f***

Initially I gave this a 2. But having finished the show, I was wrong.

This show is deceptively good, it'll have you think it is a terrible show, hence all the bad ratings. However this show is unique in that it goes all out with its premise, which I can appreciate.

Now, why it looks bad:
- Bad art and animation
- Shoddy cliche characters
- Bad character designs
- etc etc
...
Why it is actually good:
I want to start this with stating that a show should be scored not in relation to other anime in general; this show is a flat 0 in comparison to the greats such as FMAB etc. Rather a show should be scored based on how well it does what it has intended to do, i.e entertain, inform, send a message etc.

This show's purpose was to go all out in its premise and by doing so make fun of all the other shows like it that are afraid to break the status quo such as Blade Dance or Asterisk War, which just throw together templates and hopes for the best.

- The show juxtaposes bad shows with its good writing around old and 'done-to-death' concepts and characters. e.g. (ep3 spoiler)
- The MC's appreciation for slime monsters when they melt the girl's
clothes when lesser MC's would just blush and say it isn't right and
promptly get punched.

- The MC's attachment to the morals of his old world and need to come to terms with the societal rules in the new world --> This occurs in the last episode
- The Author's balls when writing this s***

Anyway go watch it, if you don't trust me check my list for my tastes and credibility.

Judge a work by how well it achieves what it set out to achieve.

This show does not stand with the grates like Gurren Lagann or FMAB etc.
However it is unfair to compare this show to those, because it wasn't trying to be one of those shows. Without this outlook I'd give this a 4. Highschool DXD is trying to be an in-your-face fan service/comedy show and it excels at this, in fact I'd say it is one of the best of its kind. The characters are flat but they don't need depth, that's not why you should watch this show, you watch this show to ... see oppai on hot depictions of humans. So, taking that all into account, I say this show is a 10/10 compared to other similar shows. If you like ecchi/fan service in any way, this is a must watch.

On a technical level though this show is a 2: Better than hentai animation but worse than everything else. Also the sound effects are awful.

It's an okay show if you're looking for a short, ecchi-filled adventure. But considering what its supposed to be, you'd spend your time better by just watching porn. Where this show fails is that there are other, longer and more ecchi anime out there. Because of the short nature of this show, you can't form any semblance of a relationship or connection with the characters hence why I'd prefer porn to get the same affect this show tries to offer. While longer shows allow you to get to know the characters which makes the ecchi part more enjoyable.

Therefore, I don't believe this show is worth ... your time.
