Right out the gate I'm gonna tell you that I absolutely adore One Piece and poor pacing is never going to change that. It is by no means a perfect anime, far from it. The manga has much better pacing but there are benefits to consuming both. For one, you can't get the beautiful animation and soundtrack out of the manga but the anime requires much more patience. Despite that, I truly believe that both reading and watching One Piece will be an incredibly fulfilling experience for anyone with the patience and determination to do so.
One Piece's world is unlike any other in scale, ... it boggles my mind how lived in this fictional series feels. The world building is incredible and the story crafting is masterful. Sometimes, seeds are planted for plot points that don't pay for hundreds of episodes down the line but when it's time, One Piece delivers. To this day it's still getting better, which is crazy, considering that it started off good 1000 episodes ago.
I started the manga and the anime on the same day, in July of 2022. I had binged the whole manga by November of that year, while watching some anime episodes here and there. After that, I was able to focus on the anime and have been going through phases where I watch a lot at a time.
In the past 2 months I've made it from halfway through Fishman Island to the Beginning of Whole Cake Island (about 256 episodes) and this is after a LOOOONG break mind you, I'll admit that Fishman Island kinda drags around the middle. I didn't think I'd ever get this far but it's feels so rewarding to be so close to catching up. I implore you to check out all One Piece has to offer, you will not regret it.

Continuing with the junk food analogy, if the first season was like regular Lays, this is baked Lays. It's slightly more interesting kept me wanting a little more than the end of the first season did. I hope it isn't meant to be taken seriously because sometimes it's kinda hard to, especially in those last few episodes. I may have given it an 8 but that's based on my own personal enjoyment, nothing objective. The animation is pretty middle of the road but it wasn't really distracting in any way. We learn more about the characters this season so that's always fun. Overall, pretty alright ... in my humble opinion.

This is pure junk food anime, nothin more, nothing less. There is nothing truly remarkable about it but I that didn't stop me from binging the whole thing in one sitting. The characters aren't really all that unique but it was easy to get attached to them, and the main character has an air of mystery about him which is interesting in the regard that he's the audience's vehicle into this world. I can't say I'm all that invested in the story and it's clear what the end goal is but that doesn't mean that I don't want to see how we get there. I ... don't feel my time was wasted at all, it's worth checking out if you want something to pass the time with.

In the beginning I had almost no expectations, I didn't even know that the manga was written by Aka Akasaka of Kaguya-Sama (my favorite manga of all time). I checked out the first episode of the anime because the runtime of it drew me in. Like many I was wondering why that was, and naturally, I gave into curiosity. I remember being surprised by the twist but it didn't really capture my interest beyond that and I forgot about it for several months. Recently I had decided to come back to it, vaguely remembering the story of the first episode. It wasn't immediate but, over ... the course of one night I slowly found myself falling in love with Oshi no Ko. Quickly I turned to the manga because I craved more and even though the anime covers the first four volumes and I had just finished watching it, I read through all of them. That was when I realized that it was going to become one of my favorites, this was literally a day ago at this point, that's how quickly I fell for this manga. It might be that choosing not to continue the anime for several months had reset the expectations that the ending of the first episode had set and that's why I was able to continue with a more open mind. Regardless, I'm really glad I decided to come back to it, I'm loving the shit out of this so far.

Being honest, this season mostly didn't do it for me. This arc definitely could've been condensed into a smaller set of episodes to be a part of a longer season, most of it was just one long fight in the middle. Tanjiro is still here, with additional characters to boot, but I don't feel we really got to get to know them outside of the fights and the short time allocated to their backstories. So it's a darn shame that most of this season is dedicated to the fights. Honestly, Mitsuri carried it for me, she is so genuine and passionate that it made me ... tear up a few times, especially because she almost had no screentime and I'm sad about that. I had a good time with this season but it's nothing compared to my enjoyment of the first two.

Having started this immediately after beating the game, my expectations had already been set and, to be honest, they weren't very high. I thought that there was no way a measly 13 episodes was going to be able to adapt the story of Danganronpa's first game in a satisfying way. While not entirely true, my expectations were mostly met. The way they handled the investigations and free time was baffling to say the least.

For most of the first half, all of the character interactions and evidence gathering are squished into quick 1 minute montages. Lots of characters got shafted in favor of moving the ... story along so it was hard to get that attached to the ones that die early on. Granted there's more time to breathe in the second half when there's less characters to worry about, and it was actually considerably enjoyable compared to the first, I can't say I'm not disappointed about how we got there.

Overall, I was pleased and it wasn't a letdown because it was about what I expected. The game is much more worthy of your time if your one of those people who's deciding between which one to pursue, although I recommend immersing yourself in both because there's always a novelty in watching how something you've previously enjoyed gets adapted into a new medium, regardless of quality.

I actually enjoyed it somewhat but damn did it piss me off at points. If you can get past Kazuya's buffoonery you'll probably enjoy it too. The girls are hot and some even likaeable, as expected but it doesn't really elevate the show up above any of it's predeccessors. It's got the fan service and tomfoolery that all the others have. It's pretty much the same old same old. I think Go ahead and watch it if you're interested and you don't mind a show that makes you audibly yell at the screen as often as I did. I will probably never watch this again.
