It's fine, once you catch up with the latest, we can chat more about it. All I could say hopefully by the next chapter, we will have a lot more say after Arata's match with Shinobu ( and yes a chapter about Arata is always awesome, LOL): I'm definitely will buy the next volume of Chihayafuru once it get released in Japan ( I believe in Oct 13th is teh release date, I'll re-order it by the a week before it gets release). XD I also hope the next volume cover illustration will show Arata with his teammates in the front cover: this is the one and only opportunity for the East Fujioka team to have the main spotlight. :D
Have you seen the latest from Chihayafuru? I haven't noticed that the latest chapter is already out ( I though the next chapter will come out in 9-15: I guess they made an update of it afterwards): well, yes Ch 172 is already out in raw scans: another Arata chapter dedicating his match with his team: http://tieba.baidu.com/p/4760944683
WOW, Arata is getting very serious with his match with Shinobu but still an even match, Shinobu isn't far behind from Arata in the amount of cards of difference: this time Arata is getting all the support from his teammates that gain more confidence of his game play: after Hiroshi ( one of Arata's teammates) won his match and voiced out: 1 win for East Fujoika!!!! (that was awesome I'll say, Arata team did lacked in team spirit during the team match, and now during the individual is making up to it): this time when Arata does win the match, he dedicating this victory for his teammates, not just about himself ( Arata gain the strength this match by his team, he wouldn't make it if he's playing all alone): at the last page of the chapter Arata and Shinobu are tied by having luck of the draw ( one more card each) and Arata already tap his card down ( it looks like Arata already won his match against Shinobu): if Arata's card was read means Arata already got this win secure ( I truly hope so). :) This time I really want to see Arata bursting with tears along with his teammates for this victory: what Arata couldn't cried by his defeat, his victory will be a different story: this means the tears will carry much more meaning, he'll be crying tears of joy sharing the one and only time experiencing this excitement with team sharing this moment the best match they ever have ( having Chihaya seeing Arata crying of joy will make her happy too because Arata will finally understand the happiness of have a team and how wonderful it is playing karuta with their dear team that are also his friends). I really wish Suetsugu-sensie would of develop more of Arata's team: otherwise some of those moments I saw from the latest would of have an emotional attachment into it- it's because Arata's team doesn't carry much meaning to the story compare to the Mizusawa's- it's sad really (but in the same time I know know why: it's because Arata's truly development comes from teh moments he shares with Chihaya and Taichi: especially Chihaya the girl he loves). Let's hope by the next chapter after the nationals ceremony we will get to see Chihaya and Arata finally getting some time alone together ( all this suspense is really killing me, I want to see a sign of those two already after all this wait- let's keep our finger cross for that outcome to finally arrive: YES MORE CHIHAYA X ARATA MOMENTS- PLEASE!!!!!!).
It's fine, take your time replying to my comments. :)
Yup, the spoilers from the latest was surprising: Chihaya is winning Shinobu in their match so far but like you said, it's too early to say that Chihaya will win: the table can still flip to Shinobu's favor. If Chihaya win this match, there's a high chance that we might get to see Chihaya and Arata match by the finals( as long both Chihaya and Arata continue to hang in there towards the end). The next chapter is coming out by July 1st: it's a long time for now: in a way I did saw this coming because the next volume will get release by July 15th and we need one more chapter for that volume.
Yes, I saw it and I really love it ( I knew it was you who posted this magnificent panel): very strong connection between those two chapters in how they are in common: (seeing Chihaya and Arata's longing for their match that's about them is still expected: it's nice to see that Chihaya still wants that match they both were longing for years and this time will be all about them alone) it's very nice for you to share with us: and yes let's hope Chihaya and Arata will have a wonderful match together during this tournament : this time I truly hoping to see very passionate and beautiful. I'm looking forward to read this chapter's translation: now we are going to see interesting things happening the story again: oh yes, I'm so happy seeing more of Arata too, more Arata on screen, the better. xD
Wait a minute, did Chihaya and Shinobu already been placed a match together? It definitely looks that way, yes: depending which of them is going to win is the one who will face Arata later in the tournament. ( I'm guessing Shinobu is going to win so she will have another match with Arata and most likely she will win against him): now we most likely will get to see Arata in the losing streak: if that's the case, we are going to see a great changes in Arata's game play after this ( and see a lot more development of his character): most likely what we are seeing now is just the starting point of his main arc. As always the creator will keep us in suspense for Chihaya and Arata to have another match together.
Oh yes, we are seeing a lot of Arata in this chapter: seriously that alone really made my day: seeing a lot of Arata is the best. It looks like Arata will dedicate more for teammates during the individuals: I think he mentioned something he had regrets during the team match and now he wants to make up for his teammates when they are playing solo ( if I understood right based on the Japanese summary by going to google translation: but that source is not too reliable). There's one scene where Chihaya was contacting Arata by the point of a finger: I'm sure she's telling him that she wishes to have another match together with him in this tournament- they have a little blush on their faces: how CUTE!!!!!! But Shinobu ruined the atmosphere: now she knows that Arata already lost his match to Chihaya: I'm guessing she now wants to play against Chihaya to see how strong she become or she's settling a challenge in which of them will play against Arata in the end ( I'm wondering what exactly Shinobu have in mind: it's still not too clear).
OMG, yes!!!!! This is the golden opportunity for Arata and Chihaya getting together and have more interaction between them at the nationals since Taichi is out of the picture for now: YES: let's hope for more Chihaya x Arata moments in the ahead chapters: go for it!!!!! xD All those outcome will be great to see between Chihaya and Arata ( even they need to catch up so they can start a love relationship together when Chihaya is ready to give Arata her response toward his love confession: let's hope the very best for our favorite pairing to become an official couple). xD
But still, this is wrong seeing that Chihaya must ignore Arata just to stand good to both guys, there's never a good excuse for that, that's still unfair and cruel for Arata getting this kind of treatment he never deserves: that's so unforgivable in my book.
The only thing I could say is the individual is the only thing that I have hopes that's where Chihaya and Arata will have more moments together and interaction between them more since Taichi is out of the picture for now: this is Arata's great opportunity to get closer to Chihaya and she better not ignore him like she did in that epic fail of an reunion match they had... but the again we shouldn't get too excite in what's to come if the creator will grant what we want to see: I guess this is our real moment of truth is what's to come, after the nationals tournament we will definitely know exactly where we stand.
Oh, thank you Thamy_22 for the link to see the raw scans from the latest chapter (ch 165):
Me too, I expected more from this chapter to tell you the truth: I thought we will get to see Chihaya and Arata talking to each other after the winning ceremony, but no Chihaya wasn’t there and when she did went downstairs she was looking for Taichi, not Arata ( she left him in pain alone without a care of the world): I was surprised the person who approached Arata in that state was Taichi by sitting next to him and tried to cheer him up a little by deliver his message to Chihaya about them meeting again by the next match: that’s how Arata knew Taichi was there. This does show that Taichi does care for Arata as a friend: otherwise he could of left his pain alone. Chihaya sure has changed in seeing in how having Arata close by she doesn’t bothered getting near him: it’s like she doesn’t care rather if Arata is there or not: at this rate, I don’t know what to think in what Suetsugu-sensei is trying to aim: is this possible that she’s now trying to aim for Chihaya to end up with Taichi instead of Arata after this: if that’s case, Chihaya should tell her response to Arata’s love confession soon and give him a rejection call if she's going to reject him so he can move on…. I swear if that happens, I won’t be following the story the same again: its one disappointment after another. Let’s hope by the individual match the creator will give moment where Chihaya and Arata are alone together since Taichi won’t be playing at the individual, he chose to practice karuta with Suo instead: that’s a sign where shows that Taichi could be the possible candidate of becoming Meijin instead of Arata since he training with the Meijin himself.
