Prison School singlehandedly made me come back to MAL after a 7-year hiatus from weebdom because I just finished reading it today and I simply HAD to post my disappointment somewhere.
This manga starts great, the premise is fun, the characters are well defined and appealing, they're all representative of our dumb teen selves and thus are very relatable. The goofy situations and hilarious idiocies they go through are always engaging, stupidly fun, sexy, and overall entertaining. This manga has to be one of the most overhyped I've ever read. People kept telling me it would be great, the payoff would be right around the corner, but in truth it never came. I started reading it when I was a teenager, and ended up finishing it just last year out of respect for the people who told me to end it, but it really has been a bore.

This anime is a very poorly executed mixture of moe slice of life with sprinkles of school drama mixed up with a zombie apocalypse. The ending spurred me into action, I've never written any reviews before this one but I "needed" to express my total disgust for this series. Not only the amalgamation of such a disparity of genres results as forced, bland and unimaginative, but it truly tops itself when in the last two episodes the most obnoxious developments occur and the only demise in this whole fallacious mess is the one that made less sense and truly took a toll on my sanity.
