Hey, I watch whatever, and tend to like conversations with stuff that I have seen before. Even if our ideas collide, I will be glad to discuss it with you.
Like all watchers, I suffer from some sort of bias, however I am willing to compromise once presented with a logical and strong argument.
I kid. As you can see my taste of anime is not varied as you since I know little of anime that aren't known to well. I'm honestly not the biggest anime fan despite the things said about me, but I'm watching better stuff lately.
And sorry I haven't been on to much either, I forgot about this site as usual.
Code Geass is absolutely hilarious, but one of the most well put together series I've seen. I mean, it's entertainment through and through. I disregarded the plot twists and character development because after a while, I realised how silly it was, so I just watched awful things happening to awful people and terrible things happening to good people and wonderful things happening to disgusting people. It was a roller coaster. I loved watching it, and I am re-watching it, and it's just as fun, if not more so considering that I know what will happen so I pay more attention to people's reactions or the holes.
I was thinking the same of J.C. Staff as I am watching Shigofumi. The art style itself is meh, but I was watching their use of colours, shadowing and this watercolour-esque sheen they have on their artwork, and it's just beautiful. At least, in Shigofumi. The actual animation is meh, but the art is pretty.
Then then me about the poor quality things you've seen then. If you want to talk studios, then just throw names out at me. I know pretty much all, though I can't say I specialise in some like Sunrise... the mecha thing just never got me.
