Nice profile and taste in anime. I like magical girl anime too! (โ‰งโ—กโ‰ฆ)

It's about a world after humans aren't around anymore but there are gem based beings that live on an island and it's centered around one gem who is clumsy and curious about the world they are in and about beings from the moon who try to abduct them. The art is really good and there's 1 season that's been made as an anime. A few friends actually mentioned that anime to me recently. I might have to check that out then. I think the characters are in University right? I always like anime in Uni since it's a bit more relatable. A Place farther from the universe is one I gotta watch one day. I've heard great things about it.

Hirayasumi seems like an interesting slice-of-life. People seem to rate it well too. I've definitely heard of it before but hadn't looked at what it's about til now.

Oh nice! Those are some real cool hobbies. I've never tried journaling before but I know it's a good way to get your thoughts out. Is it something you do everyday? Vlogging is real cool too. Do you just vlog trips or things that you go out and do? Other than anime I workout pretty often, swim, I play the keyboard a bit but I could be definitely use some improvement lol, and similarly I like to cook! Do you have anything you like to cook in particular?

I'm glad you are doing ok!

I think my favorite manga right now is Houseki no Kuni. The art is absolutely stunning and the story including the characters and world are really interesting. It's almost finishing as well I believe. Lol I feel that. There's a lot I've started but have not finished and not for any reason in particular. Oh I think I've heard of A Sign of Affection. It's currently airing right? It looks really cute. i hope it's a good read! Is there anything else you've been watching lately?

Lol that does sound like an interesting premise. I'm surprised I haven't heard of it before but I think I've heard of a similar anime. I just caught up with the manga Otoyomegatari. It's kind of a journey type story but it focuses on different people every volume. It takes place in central Asia during the late 1800's and follows the stories of different women who are getting married. The author has really done her research about all the cultures in that time period and her art is absolutely amazing and incredibly detailed. It might end up as my favorite by the time it ends.

What other things do you like to do other than watching anime?
Kyonman Feb 22, 3:11 PM
Hey! It's good to hear from you again. How are you doing? It's ok, I hope everything is alright with your family.

I think I prefer anime if it's trying to hit more on the emotional side but I prefer manga otherwise. Also I prefer manga is the art is really good but beautiful anime hits just as well. That's interesting that you've never completed a manga. Do you just not prefer it as a medium? I gotta check out Honey and Clover. I'm not in university anymore but I'd appreciate an anime with more relatable characters. Definitely let me know how you feel about it when you've watched more!

Oh nice! Yeah it's a great slice-of-life. I think they had some OVAs for it. K-ON is really good. I've never heard of Ouran Highschool Host club. is it a slice-of-life as well? I haven't been watching too much anime lately but I've been reading some manga that have been really good.

I was thinking maybe watching it first and then reading it either after some time or maybe read it whenever I'm not in the mood to watch. Are you just going to watch it or read it as well?

I have not seen Honey and Clover yet but the fact that the characters are University students is pretty appealing. There's not too many anime that have University settings which is unfortunate since a lot of the themes like becoming an adult are easy to relate to. How are you liking it so far?

Yokohama is about a robot who runs a cafe is a post-disaster world that is much simpler than what it used to be and the manga is just about her daily life with the people she is close to. It's a very calm and slow paced read and is very day to day slice-of-slice. I would definitely recommend it and it's something that can be very calming to read.

Yes I really enjoyed Haruhi! I need to re-watch that series as well but the movie is my favorite anime movie ever. I've re-watched the movie a bunch lol. Do you have anything that you like to re-watch?

Of course <3 I'm doing great, how are you doing? Well i'm finishing up Strike the blood season 3-5. I just finished Kusuriya no Hitorigoto and I also have been trying to knock my plan to watch list down. What about you?
Kyonman Jan 24, 2:04 PM
Thanks for the recommendation! I'll put it on my list to check it out.

I didn't know that it's nearing it's final arc. Maybe I'll start it soon then since I don't like reading something that hasn't been complete. Well I do but then I don't like looking forward to the next chapter if it's like on hiatus or something like that. I'll have a lot of catching up to do lol.

For Slice of life I highly recommend "Yotsuba to" or "Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou". They are both pretty much the definition of slice of life and were just very relaxing to read. The art in Yokohama is also like extremely good at making you feel nostalgic. I don't think I have seen too many slice of life anime outside of K-ON but I have heard from friends that Skip and Loafer looks like a really cute anime that I just didn't get around to watching when it aired so I might watch that soon as well. I did recognize that cat on your profile is from the manga about the large cat that lives with his owner. How is the manga? I remember it aired recently but I hadn't watched that either.

I don't believe I've heard of most of those slice-of-life anime other that Yuru camp but it's good to know there are new ones for me to watch. I haven't watched One Piece yet. I'm afraid of starting that up since It'll be like a year long endeavor for me lol. Looks like you just started watching it. How has it been?
Kyonman Jan 21, 8:00 PM
Hello! I saw your introduction post and wanted to say hi. I see you're a slice-of-life fan as well. I've seen K-on but what other slice-of-life anime have you enjoyed?
