ATTENTION
Stay away from this show if your morals are against 'paying for intimate intercourse' or you are sensitive to the topic in any way. This show is lighthearted with it. Always remember anime doesn't come from the same culture as yours, unless you are from the country that produced it.

Only watch this if your sense of humor enables you to enjoy Shimoneta and Prison School. If you are too 'vanilla' (let me be respectful here, please) to enjoy those, don't waste your time.

Now, if those were your cup of tea, please, serve yourself.

Leaving ERO aside, you can fin a lot of interesting topics ...

Mixed Feelings
A story is meaningful and enjoyable as how you tell it… and this way of telling this story wasn't it.

Having watched the OVA version and being a fan of the manga, this was such a disappointment! Everything felt cliché, it didn't take the time to developed the bonds (which is the point of this story, if you wanted a lighthearted rom-com there are thousands out there) between the characters so the moment when the MC realizes everything could have been different and his life crisis could have never resolved, falls completely flat.

Having 13 episodes could have meant the development could have been paused and deep, ...

I don't give it a 10 because the 'enjoyment' isn't consistent through every shortie.

You get to see other characters and interactions and possibilities at Aoyama-sensei universe.

Some of this stories are related to Conan, some aren't. Some are Awesome, and some are just your average anime tale (but with his characteristic style).

My most favorite one was 'Play it again'. First because of the characters, and second because I'm an old soul myself, therefore, I miss the old days when samurai and knight values mattered, and no one thought those values were 'outdated', or 'toxic' or boring. That one story was worth the watch of the whole ...

Sometimes I have one of those days 'feeling like watching something romantic'. Well, this is what I ask at those moments:

*Science fiction.
*Historical or folkloric stuff.
*A simple love story.
* Believable characters: tough boy finds a girl that suits his tastes and thinks she'll be perfect to fulfill his necessities (in this case, a girl that reminds him of his first love), misplaced girl finds a blunt and honest, fit and simple young man (but she knows the actual and complicated truth about him, but never talks about it).

This is perfect for those who believe in a 'love that transcends time', and for those ...

This presents the world the story will be set in... and that's it. No character development, not even presentation. No plot. No nothing. It's just some scenes put one after the other. Not even good scenes either.

The world the story (which doesn't exist in this movie) will be set in, is one with a 'pocket' of time (reminiscent of tales from the fairy, I would guess), and with some gifted youths that are able to use the 'persona', which it's a reminiscent of avatars (like in some ancient indian or egyptian mythologies). That was the only interesting aspect of this waste of time.

P.S.: Be careful ...

'Living pitying yourself makes for a miserable life' Dazai to Atsushi

For people like us, who struggle to fit in the morals of nowadays trending philosophy, this show is a relief. There are different points of views on how to live in our, said, predicament. But to be able to achieve that (2nd season) we have to watch entirely the first season.

This season presents the characters, and outlines a bit of the story. We have, for example, Edogawa Ranpo (that tells us there are going to appear more awesome authors later on, which is basically what this show wants to teach us: english literature). Every character ...

This anime is one of those that follows the following scheme:

Two episodes for world introduction and character presentation.
Few episodes to define the statu quo of the lives of the characters.
Some episodes for The knot.
From 1 to 3 episodes to end it.

If you don't like the kinds of animes that follow that scheme, keep it in mind.

Concerning the plot, there is something to have into consideration: the characters are exposed to a world that they find 'nonsensical' so the story develops through their reactions to that 'nonsense' and how they feel the need to rebel against it. It's as deep as you are able to ...

Preliminary (5/13 eps)
Imagine for a moment you are an Alien.
Imagine that your race reproduces by Parthenogenesis. That you've been stranded on Earth as a baby and you are trying to figure this 'two gender to reproduce' thing. (I know it's weird, just humor me for a moment here, please).
Then, you start writing a journal with all the information you begin to gather, and you turn it into a story just so you can 'understand' things better.
Well, you would end up writing Nazo no Kanojo!

If you are somehow socially handicapped but you have a thing for drool, you could easily understand this. Just one thing: actual couples don't ...

The story is great.

Characters are great, (even though some aren't understandable for normal human being like me, aka Black-Star), just don't expect development on their relationships with one another. Those relationships are sealed from the start. The story moves on, but their interactions remain the absolute same from chapter 20 onwards.

Just don't watch last episode and go read the manga instead. Last episode + death vs kishin battle are the worst thing done on this anime. Enjoy the ride (just don't keep the conclusion in sight or you will be disappointed).

It pisses me off a lot of japanese anime that people are not human beings ...

Go watch it, and judge it for yourself.

The story starts common and ok, but it starts spinning around, until it is a whole new story. And A WELL DONE one.

The character development you will find, in many of the characters. There are some questions that don't get answered BUT it left subtle hints towards that.

Overall, this is a very good anime, and a very good story even for those who aren't experienced in anime. Just don't bother with the english dub, is horrible. There is only one flaw in the narrative reaching the end, but I think that's because they didn't want to set ...
