yup, i finished it. i actually started liking it and then they went and made all the characters whine all the time and i got annoyed again :/.
finished serial experiments lain this morning and i think it's partially responsible for the headache i've got now :))

i know what you mean. guess at the end of the day it just boils down to what you feel like watching/reading at that particular time though :D.

i wanted to mention something along the lines of 'don't forget the pinch of humour in those shows', but then i realised that mostly what makes me laugh is the absurd situation the characters are in, like you described :D
if you feel up to more plot-heavy stuff, you have to read Sakura Gari. i almost cried by the end of it, but it's a beautiful story ^^

*after looking up ao haru ride* aww, based on the description it sounds great! for some reason it made me think of horimiya ^^. i haven't read that one either, but i saw the ova based on it and really liked the story :D
