Bubble

The way the characters race and compete while doing acrobatic moves gives off a familiar feel and hype. Bubble shifts more towards a light drama/romance with some nuance, with the strongest focus on the aesthetics, while Air Gears is more about comedy and with better fleshed out characters.

Code-E

It's funny how Code-E reminded me of Read or Die straight from the Opening. The art style, the feeling... it's really hard to explain how they relate. Supernatural abilities; being controlling paper or emitting electricity from your body... that's the most logical part of what both shows have in common. If you're watching Code-E and like the 'feeling' of it, R.O.D. is a must for you! If you're watching R.O.D, you might have some interest in Code-E (but I must warn you, it's a step down from R.O.D!)

First of all, I must say the stories of these two anime are very different. But if you're looking for an intriguing anime that gives you the same feeling you have when you watch Jigoku Shoujo (and vice-versa), Le Portrait de Petite Cossette is a good option(and vice-versa). Petit Cossette, is a little bit more bloody. And naturally, Jigoku Shoujo, could afford to move on the storyline more slowly since it has more episodes, while Petit Cossette has only around 120 minutes. But both series build the mystery at a similar pace, keeping you interesting and wondering what's going to happen next.

It's amazing how Le Portrait de Petit Cossette reminded me of the same feeling I had when I first watched Pet Shop of Horrors. They both start with this gloomy and slow pace, building up both mystery and drama, making you wonder what happens next. Although in its own way, Le Portrait de Petit Cossette has a bit more of romance to it, even though a morbid one... they both leave plenty of interesting information for your mind to digest while enjoying the series.

Ghost Hunt

Look closely and you'll think. "These two animes are nothing alike". Le Portrait de Petit Cossette has more of a dramatic feel to it, while Ghost Hunt slides way more towards a comedy(Le Portrait de Petit Cossette is very VERY far from a comedy). But for some reason, they both appealed to me in a similar way. So if you're looking for a horror, dramatic version of Ghost Hunt with a tad of romance, go for Petit Cossette. If you're in the mood for a more lighthearted supernatural anime, go for Ghost Hunt.

Nothing alike. But SE Lain was one of the first animes that came to my mind when I began watching Le Portrait de Petit Cossette. Even though their feels grow apart after the first episode of Petit Cossette, they both start in this intriguing way that make you sink right into the story, in their own 'confusing' ways. Lain's focus is more towards a slow paced, mysterious, sci-fi(the internet). While Le Portrait de Petit Cossette clearly focus more on the horror(blood) and morbid romance. Despite all differences, they are both dark, intriguing series that pay close attention to the characters' thoughts and 'insanities', ones that might even trigger your own ;)

Mystery that unveils in different ways. Both slow paced in their own ways. While Mushishi is much more of a relaxed, yet serious watch; Le Portrait de Petit Cossette is more of a horror(bloody) dramatic anime. Very different in everything apart from the core feeling, but both intriguing in their own ways. (And I think I never said 'own ways' so many times in my life)

Night Walker: Mayonaka no Tantei

Vampires(NightWalker) versus Horror(Le Portrait de Petit Cossette). One might think I went insane when making this recommendation. They're both dramas, in their own ways. And they both contain a sensible taste of romance. While Le Portrait de Petit Cossette is a much more crude, bloody version of the less dramatic NightWalker... they both give me the same feeling somehow. As if they were supposed to be on the same category... a tad of drama, romance, and a load of mystery.

Hard to explain why they're similar. The stories are quite different. "Ah! Megami-Sama" is a fantasy 'harem' anime, where beautiful Goddesses (literally) clash into a guy's life, making an amusing chaos out of it. While "I my me! Strawberry-Eggs" is an, also lighthearted, school series about a man who has to fake being a woman to become a teacher and pay the rent. But I thought the 'feeling' of the anime were so similar...that you probably couldn't like one, and dislike the other. Watch a couple of episodes, and you'll probably understand.
