Fan of Dungeons and Dragons or have you never played but slightly interested? Well, this anime is the definition of a DnD world. You follow a devoted warrior, a cleric, an elf archer, a drunk dwarf, and a magic lizard in a world where goblins are rising in numbers for an unknown reason. I enjoyed this anime a lot. The animation was solid, the story was good, the characters were enjoyable, and the villains were hated (in a good way). The only thing that is keeping it at a 8/10 for me is the ending as I felt some of the events were not necessary. The anime tried to go a different route with the story and most of the community hated it. The conclusion of the Fairy Tail series felt lackluster compared to its predecessors, Fairy Tail (2009 and 2014). The built-up to the final villain of the series was greatly portrayed as a solid villain and had some actual hype to it. However, the goal for the villain was kind of poorly written.
