At Kamome Academy lives 7 school mysteries, one of which being Hanako-san of the Toilet, a wish granter who resides inside of school bathrooms. Alongside Hanako are his friends Nene Yashiro, a boy-obsessed gardener, and Kou Minamoto, an exorcist-in-training. TL;DR will be included at the end of this review.

to Nene about how much she oddly has started to like the supernatural stories she tells her, Nene tells Hanako and Kou the supernatural story, they go fight the supernatural in question.". Luckily, there are a few charming interactions here and there that make the show worth watching.
Art - 9/10: The art in this series is absolutely amazing, it fits the story well and is almost identical to the manga's art, yet there is a little something that throws me off about it. Some characters are very brightly colored and cheery-looking (examples being Nene, Aoi, and Mitsuba) and some of them are very darkly colored and eerie looking (an example is the Mermaid), which I find a bit odd, but I think it fits the cutesy yet dark theme of the show.
Characters - 8/10: The characters in this series are very likable, with a few being annoying sometimes, but they don't fill you with as much hate as other anime characters may. Nene, the protagonist, is a nice, boy crazy gardener, which may seem like an odd combination, but it works well. Many characters in this series, like Nene, have odd combinations of character traits that surprisingly work well.
Enjoyment - 7/10: I found this show very entertaining to watch, with fight scenes that are comprehendible and likable characters, there are only small details I'd change, but besides that, I think it's a good series!
Overall - 7/10: This anime was a rollercoaster of both emotions and development. Although this first season seems a bit rushed compared to it's source material, I still recommend this series!
TL;DR - Although this series may seem odd at first, once you watch it, it'll bring you a very interesting anime!

Komi-san can't Communicate is a cute manga about Shoko Komi, a young girl with a communication problem, and Hitohito Tadano, an average high-school boy, and their journey to help Komi make 100 friends. TL;DR will be included in this review as well.

It works well but gets repetitive very easily, most chapters go along the lines of "new person notices/meets Komi, thinks she's scary because she doesn't talk to people, they face their fear and talk to Komi, Komi is a nice person, joins Komi's friend group." and it gets boring after a while. There are a few chapters here and there where her friends go out and do things like go to restaurants, or go to the pool. But besides that, the story is a bit bland.
Art - 8/10: The art in this manga is very nice, although not a saving grace for the manga, it works well with the series.
Character - 7/10: The characters in this manga usually only have one or two defining traits and that's all you really get from them. Komi is pretty and nice, Tadano is average and nice, Najimi is outgoing, so on and so forth. Many of the characters in this series are very stereotypical and seem like a cardboard cut-out of a "-dere" type.
Enjoyment - 7/10: I enjoy reading this manga, and find joy in going out every few months to buy the latest volume. If it weren't so repetitive, I would probably give it a higher rating in this category.
Overall - 7/10: I feel that if this manga goes on for a few more years, it will just become a stereotypical "School, Comedy, Romance" manga. I think this is a manga that at one point will become too fleshed out and get boring.
TL;DR - Although having a cute premise, This is a repetitive and stereotypical school manga with cookie-cutter characters. It is fun to read, as the short stories of each chapter are cute, but besides that, it has nothing much to keep you interested for long.

Danganronpa would've been one of the best video games to make an anime of, great concept, good characters, but the anime made all of the characters feel like background characters. Although the soundscape and art were great, it couldn't hide that all of the characters, even Junko and Monokuma/Monobear were quite flat. Their title was their one defining trait if you could even call it that. The only trait Naegi had was that he was optimistic. Chihiro's only trait was that he was good with computers. The only thing Kyouko had going for her was that she was the " Super Duper High School Detective
...
" And that she would be great help with finding out the secret of Hope's Peak Academy. One major problem with the anime is that they turned 20+ hours of gameplay into a 4 1/2 hour long anime, which may be the reason why the characters may be so flat. Overall, I think if you have played the Danganronpa games, you will be dissatisfied. Even if someone's first exposure to the Danganronpa franchise is the anime, they may still be disappointed.
