Recommendation Club Newsletter~Holiday Edition
As we enter into one of the busiest times of the year, we here at the Recommendation Club would like to extend our wishes for each and every one of you to have a wonderful holiday season!
Since the September newsletter, our club has gained many new members, and seen the return of old ones. We would like to keep the momentum going, and with our member list now at 3,111, that should be no problem at all! ^_^.
We would like all of our members, old and new, to help keep this an active, and fun club, a place to Chat and to seek out recommendations in our General anime and General Manga thread as well as the specific anime genre threads, such as Drama and Romance and Sci-fi and many others as well.
It’s a great place to make new friends, or renew past friendships, and we urge all of our members to drop by, and post in the various threads and comment section, as well as share you expertise with other members.

With the fall season upon us, the club has not been as active recently with our members being busy with work, school, and the other things life throws our way, but we here at the Recommendation Club want to let all of our members know that we haven't gone anywhere! We welcome you all to drop by, and say hello to old friends, or make new ones. We have a large member-list, and we would like to see all of you joining in, and sharing, your anime and manga knowledge with the club!
Loads of new members join all the time, either wanting recommendations, or eager to share their expertise with others, so don't be shy, and join right in! Like to chat? Head on over to our General Recommendation Thread. Don't see what you want to know? Please feel free to make new threads to get your burning questions asked, or just join in with the others in the comments section!

It ís a lot and I still haven't started a new spring anime except Gintama and Sekaiichi Hatsukoi but I still have to catch up with those 2 :( I don't have the time to even think about anime, I'm having a SE week... do you know what that is? :P
I'm fine :) I've been kinda sick and really sleepy lately but well I'm feeling alright now. Shugo Chara is really cute, I like the fuzzy innocent light romance scenes and the char design (+ the clothes xD) are great ^^ But you have to be in the mood for that kinda magic girl shoujo anime I guess :P Well umm let me think, she's like 12 and he's like... 16? So I want her to be at least 14/15 before they consider dating and that would make him 18/19 (which sounds like a huge age gap but it really isn't thát big, right? xd)
I am getting more intimidated by the week haha :P One Piece has a lot fillers too and the fights in the arcs are waaay too long o.o" But I skip the boring parts like when they show the new city/where ever they are for like 3 min o.o" (and I skip the really boring filler episodes, you know, you just click the time balk a bit forward every time so you get a bit info from the endless conversation they're holding, just enough to understand the filler xD) I think it took me.. 3,5 weeks to get to episode 320 (One Piece) but well I was lucky I watched it in a calm and almost homework less period xD
But that aside, how are u doing? :) Haven't spoken you for a while, ne? Last thing I remeber was that we were talking about Ikuto vs Tadase, right? :P I just re-read some chapters of SC but I'm still on team Tadase... but well I have to admit that Ikuto is also nice xD
I see you're watching Naruto Shippuuden, how is it? I can't make my mind up to watch Naruto or not, there are so many episodes I don't know where to start haha XD But do you like it? ^^

I haven't seen any shota, except for Papa to kiss in the dark (which I didn't really consider to be a shota), but I did like that one!
So you don't like OVA's? That's too bad! I actually like it a lot, because I can finish them whole in one day. :) If you liked Papa to kiss in the dark, you might like Kirepapa too. And Koi suro boukun. :D Oh, and there's a ova of Ikoku irokoi romantan. It was my first yaoi, and that's why I love it. I heard people say they think the anime is better than the manga, so maybe you should watch it! :)

And mostly of it is new to me (I do know all the titles that are made into animes , like junjou romantice, sekaicchi hatsukoi, Koisuru Boukun and Ikoku irokoi romantan^^ btw, I believe I've seen almost every yaoi anime xD except for the long ones like Togainu no chi..(and the shoto ones, I don't think I'll like that -.- If you have any anime recommendations that I haven't seen, please tell me too!)!

I saw you writing on the recommendation forum that you've read a lot of yaoi manga. I've just started reading that myself, and I wonder if you can give me some good suggestions? I don't mind if it's explicite, haha. Oh, and I prefer short ones, with not that many chapters. I hope you can help me!

Well I do have a thing for cute boys, I don't care if they are a bit feminine or not :P As long as their personality is cute, interesting, innocent or something like that xD But well on the other hand, Ikuto is kinda sexy :P Do u also read the manga of SC btw?
I'll tell you when I'm gonna watch One Outs but it won't be some time soon I'm afraid, I'm really bussy with school stuff etc :( Hmm the only sport anime I've ever seen is Over Drive XD I totally totally loved it (rated it a 9) cauz the main char is really cute and a little hero -but I do understand why people would think he's a bit annoying, it's just that I love his char xd but there's a lot of char development so he won't be the same through the anime- and I liked the plot... and there were really light shounen-ai hints XD I'm not raised in a sport oriented family either... but I do recommend Over Drive even if u don't really like sport (I'm not a huge fan either) since it's not only about sport. It's also about archieving a goal, hacing dreams, character developments and people who love 1 thing and train really hard to become better at it :) Haha well maybe I'm a bit too positive about it but well I do like the anime a lot <3
It's good over here, and how is life over there? :P The past few days there has been really nice weather, it used to be really cold but today the temperature was around 12/13? :) (I do like the cold and I don't feel cold too soon but well I thought it was nice xd)

Really?? Sounds interesting! It's high on my plan to watch list but well I'm not really in the mood for those complicated psychological anime's atm so I think it'll be a while before I start it... but I'm looking forward to it :) Do u like anime's about sport?
Starry Sky is like Hetalia (if u have seen it); really short episodes but quite entertaining. It's about 12 guys (each guy represents an animal from the chinese/japanese (?) zodiac) and each guy has an own story which is covered in 2 episodes. The story's are okay, the animation is good and well it is about 12 bishies... so I think it's something worth to try out. It's also nice there are a lot different chars (even though they're connected somehow), there'll be likely almost always 1 who's to your liking :) Oh and the episodes are only about 10 min so it won't take up too much time ^^

Thanks a lot for the link ^^ I do remember it... sort of... but I didn't thought any thing of it since I wasn't really interested in yaoi/shounen-ai at that time haha xD But I bet all the fangirls watching DN could've died happy after seeing that scene :P
Sebastion isn't a hero... Lelouch is but he's more like an unknown hero. Gintoki and Allen are really "light/white" heroes while Lelouch would be a black hero? :P But Sebastian didn't do anything to save manking... right? :P
Hmm not really... I know 2 other fans. 1 girl isn't really into the same anime and doesn't watch as much as me (she's not that much of a hardcore anime fan -which may be better for her... xd-) and the other doesn't watch much anime at all... and he only watches shounen :P
I'm in denial too, I can't watch it otherwise XD I keep thinking *she's 14 she's 14 she's 14, almost 15. Ikuto is just 16 almost 17, no big deal!...* XD I was so shocked when I read she was like 12/13... and I almost had an heart attack when I read Iktuo was like 17 :P I do like Ikuto, don't get me wrong but Tadase would be more compatible with her...? :P
Hmm well we'll see, I don't really dislike useless male main chars so he has a fair chance in my opinion xD
I have yet to start the second half I guess, I hope it'll be good. I'm not a person who's like; the first part had a better story line but the second part has... *blah blah* so it should be okay? :P
Ahw I've seen Kuuchu Buranko, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and Bakemonogatari. I guess I can handle Azumanga Daioh xD Ohh I kind of dislike Lucky Star. I don't get the whole hype -_- Sure it's kinda okay if u like moe and the random life of a few high school girls but it's not worth an 8/9 if u ask me. It's really irritating it doesn't have a plot... But that's just my preference.
How is One Outs? I've heard the main char has the same type of char as Light and that the anime is quite good (and psychological really strong), is it true? :)

It sucks to know you're watching a filler, doesn't it? :P That's why I never google them before I'm finished. But with Gintama you don't have that problem; every episode (except those in an arc) feel like a filler XD

Ahhww you're Team Ikuto? I'm on Team Tadase :P I like Ikuto but idk.. he's just a little pervy (he's like 17 and she's like... 12/13? o.o") and Tadase is really cute sometimes <3 It's true that he's kinda girly but thats part of his charm (I kind of like girly types once in a while)
Hahaha well that sure woke me up :P Nah, I think I'll try the first episode to see how "bad" it is? Well I know an other spineless main char; Koushi from Sumomomo Momomo. But he's really smart and kinda manipulative and kinda tsundere but I don't really dislike his attitude so who knows, maybe I can stand the main char from Fate/Stay night too :P
I like it a lot ^^ I have no idea where the story is going and what the last episode(s) will be like but it's really nice :) It's something new to have so much main chars (and that the point of vieuw changes every episode) but I like it :) The 2 friends and the blonde agressive guy are my favorite chars till now :) How about you?
How is Azumanga Daioh? I've seen episode 1 quite some time ago but I thought the little girl was kinda annoying so I never saw episode 2... Is it good? Worth picking up for me? ^^

Our club is almost one year old and we'll be most likely celebrating it with lots of specials and contests, so you might wanna check out the club at least once every few days as something new might appear in the horizon. :D
We noticed that while the member count keeps growing by day, we aren't exactly as active as we should be. It would be nice to see more and more people chatting in the comments or in the chat thread. I'd like to mention that a chat thread in our club gets closed after a comment or so is made on page 50. I'd like to get this one closed so we can start one anew in our next club year. Thanks in advance.
I'd also be glad if you introduced yourself in our special threads or warmly welcome our new members that have posted there. Also, if you have any trouble deciding what anime you want to watch or if you want to help others, take a look at the recommendation thread and post there.
If anyone is willing to make member cards, just post the templates in this thread or pm them to me. If you have made some other kind of graphic for the club you can post it in the comments or, again, pm it to me.

I like doujinshi's but there are so much more fanfics :P I don't dislike L and Light but it's just that it seems só out of character it even buggs me a bit (I usually don't give a damn about that stuff xd), but I plan to read some fanfics :)

Do u like Shugo Chara? I liked it a lot tbh, it was reaaaally shoujo like and kind of cute :P The clothes are also really nice (really detailled etc) and the music is also good (from that girl Utau? and from Ikuto of course). Who do u like more; Ikuto or Tadase? :) Oh and is Fate/stay night any good? :)
