Mimi Mix! is a simple and cute shoujo ai. There isn't much of a story, so the enjoyment comes from looking at cute girls with animal ears and some flirting between them. Mostly just slice of life with some minor character development as you go along.
The fan service is mimimal, mainly focusing on the cute aspect, though there are some bath scenes/panty shots. The comedy is there but it's not the type you actually laugh reading.
The characters are what you would expect from a short 20 chapter manga without much of a story. They're good and enjoyable to watch, but i'll probably forget

Torako, Anmari Kowashicha Dame da yo is a unique ecchi comedy. It doesn't really excel is any aspects, but is enjoyable nontheless.
The art is decent but i found character's head to body proportions to be a little off in my opinion. There was several full page artworks throughout the manga, which were very well drawn. The story is simple and funny, but takes a more serious tone towards the end which was a little weird at first but ended up still good.Keep in mind though this is mainly a comedy, so the overall story was very simple and not the real focus of the manga. ...

This was soooo close to being a nice heartwarming read with a satisfying story. However, in one swift move the mangaka managed to completely ruin the nice warm feeling you get from reading a romance. While the overall story is still decent with a satisfying ending, you are just left with this horrible taste in your mouth thinking about this one plot point. Considering where the story was going up until that point, it was so out of place and shouldn't have been added in.
Excluding that one plot point, this was a great read. The characters and story were great, it had a really nice ...

This is a slice of life with tiny sprinkles of comedy and romance. Fu-fu is just boring. The romance is saturated with slice of life/comedy so nothing feels serious enough for me to enjoy. The comedy elements just aren't funny. So all your left with is a boring slice of life manga. There pretty much isn't a story and none of the characters stand out to me. The art is a little dated but not bad. Overall i would recommend giving this manga a pass, it's readable but quite boring
Side note, the one english translation i found for this manga i didn't enjoy at all. ...

I quite enjoyed this show at first, it was right up my alley. Cute characters, funny and overall no real story. Just the type of show I would enjoy. However, it quickly became a boring mess. The jokes got really repetitive and it turned into a chore to watch after about 5/6 episodes. The characters lost their appeal and it started to take multiple sittings to get through an episode.
What little soundtrack there was, was pretty bad. I don't usually take much notice of soundtracks, but this show was so quiet. It was just voice acting a lot of the time without any music ...

I gotta say I'm a little disappointing at this movie. It was enjoyable, but i just wasn't really feeling it.
The story, while unique and definitely sounded cool, was going so fast i was left unattached and uninterested in the characters and story. I just couldn't 'get into it'. I would've liked to see this in a series format rather than a movie, because it has a lot of potential but just fell short due to the time constraint of a movie. That aside, it had an amazing ending which definitely boosted my opinion on the movie as it ended on a high note. The art/animation ...

I have mixed feelings about Mitsuboshi Colors. At times im really enjoying it, others it takes multiple sittings to get through an episode. Sometimes I find myself admiring the cute art, but then animation quality takes away from it. Mitsuboshi Colors is constantly jumping from a 3/10 to a 7/10 and its hard to rate it.
Comedy is the main genre of this show, and at times it is doing a good job of it. The blue haired girl is especially funny in my opinion. However not all the comedic parts are funny, they can be very boring at times and make me lose interest ...

Im not sure how this slipped under my radar at the time of it's release. Houseki no Kuni is by far one of the most interesting and unique anime i've ever seen.
The whole story and setting felt so fresh and it was the first time i have been so intrigued in an anime in ages. I was constantly trying to predict what would happen next in the show, because it seems really predictable to be honest. However, i was wrong nearly every time and the anime just continued to amaze and surprise me with it's twists throughout the story. My one downside to this ...

I only bought Umibe no Onnanoko because of the author, while i didn't expect it to be as good as Goodnight Punpun i did expect some level of similarity between the two.
A Girl on the Shore feels like its replacing deep, thought provoking mature themes with sex. I did come into it expecting at least one sex scene but it was a bit ridiculous at the amount of them. If it focused more on the character's psychological state more i think it would've been more enjoyable. Don't get me wrong, it does show the character's psychological state, just not as much as i would have ...

I'm sure a lot of people out there have already dropped this show within the first few episodes, and i don't blame them. This show started off so terrible it was ridiculous. However, despite the horrid start this show really came through.
Around episode 4 or 5 was where this show just kicked off and became really enjoyable. Each episode suddenly became really enjoyable and the once irritating characters redeemed themselves throughout the rest of the episodes. You know when people tell you to keep watching a show because it will get better, and you just don't want to because it sucks. This show ... |
