Akira (Anime) add
Akira, the biggest influence on the anime industry!:

Akira's influence on the anime industry is unbelivable! Along with Spirited Away, this bought anime to the attention of everyone, kids and adults alike to then get them into other popular anime like Dragonball Z and Studio Ghibli films.

Anyway, onto the movie. I thought it as a 2 hour bloodbath at first, but as I thought more, I saw it on a different level. The animation is beautiful. I didn't find the story that amazing, but it was OK.

I liked it because of the animation, the tension throughout the whole thing and the awesome Plush Toy scene.

Overall, ...

Dragon Ball Z (Anime) add
Preliminary (39/291 eps)
Dragonball Z, a less funny sequel of Dragon Ball:

This show has an outstanding story, great music (especially the Japanese version) and a lot of (a bit too much!) action. Like Dragon Ball, the art the art is decent, but outdated-though an improvement on Dragon Ball.

Dragon Ball blended humour and action, sadly, this didn't. Dragon Ball Z is more about action than anything else. And for me, the humour was one of the best things about Dragon Ball!

Overall, this is less of comedy, and more of an action. This is for action anime lovers. See it on a different level to Dragon Ball. The best Dragon ...

Dragon Ball... 11\10 if I could!:

This show is a masterpiece, kicking off with an amazing story, great characters and some of the best anime humour! The art is quite obviously outdated, but not awful! And to top it all off, the music is awesome!

At the time of this review, I have only seen the Goku and The Tournament sagas but they have been great and have beaten what I have seen of Dragonball Z and Dragonball (Z) Kai.

Overall, Dragon Ball is a funny, action-packed anime and definitely worth watching!

This film is, yet another Miyazaki masterpiece. I'm giving it a 9 only because there isn't a 9.5. Ok, this film is odd, yet well made with an engaging storyline, beautiful art and good characters.

The re-watchability is very low unless you leave it 6 months, it's a great journey while you're on it but afterwards it's kind of forgettable.

A lot of peoples favourite, but Ghibli has done much better.

I loved it because it's a gripping, action-packed ride. But its downfall is that it kind of drags on a bit. The first half or so is one of the best animes ever, but ...

Right off the bat, Hayao Miyazaki is amazing. And of all the amazing films he has done, this one is among the best.

As most Studio Ghibli films are, the art is good. It felt like a cartoon still, which I like in an anime, if it's too realistic the enjoyment level goes way down.

It had a story that made me wonder why it hasn't got a manga tie-in. Also it had scenes of much excitement and beauty.

Overall, it's a Miyazaki masterpiece worthy of a manga tie-in. It contained humour, excitement and action.

An anime worth watching. If you haven't seen it buy it online ...
