In regards of judging thinks by it's cover, I do feel if it is the art design that is off-putting that type of logic can apply.

Well our club is called the Anime Guild or AG in short. Since you are new to MAL, I might aswell show you what he have too offer. ^^'
As I already said we are mostly seasonal anime oriented so most of our features revolve around that stuff:
Our most prominent feature is probably the PRC, (Power Ranking Committee) were we track the the popularity from the anime and characters of the season. Then we have our Opening/Ending competitions were you can rate these based on their video quality and the Audio that they use: Looks like this as an example: https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1745710. No sing-ups needed here, just rate whenever you feel like it.
Then we have the AotS and CotS which are always at the end of a season. The winners of those are also our base for the next seasons layout and Picture.
As for none-seasonal stuff we have Guess the character forum games and the Spotlight. Which is a feature were we group watch anime that were kidna forgotten over the years. Hey I read your review for Satsuriku no Tenshi, overall I share most of your feelings towards the show. Allthough some things. You write that J.C Staff created the characters, but since it is an adaptation, they mostly just took what was already there. Also since you mentioned the production quality of it a few times. It was the best looking J.C Staff show of that season for me, cause they also adapted Backstreet Girls and High Score Girl and they looked kinda terrible. xD

Btw. you seem to watch quite a few anime each season, would you be interested in joining a seasonal anime club ?

Romantic comedies are life, I always end up enjoying the fuck out of them though I try not to watch too many in a short time, I'd say they're like my guilty pleasure. Binge-watched Nisekoi last week and it was surprisingly good, second season was kind of a let down coz nothing important really happened but still liked it. Chitoge is best girl <3 I don't know for some reason I just don't like Onodera. What about you?
