I will just rate the first arc here because every episode after 14 is garbage.
This anime is such a pain. I get it, "he has SAO as his favourite what a normie loser".
I really wish MAL woud let us rate story arcs separately, same goes for any show with major changes in story, because you should know damn right I would rate Aincrad a 9/10 and Fairy Dance a 2/10 on a good day.
Thing is, I understand that SAO isn't great. But quite frankly my dear, I don't give a damn.

the coolest thing I'd seen, as I am sure most people did.
I still think the aincrad arc was incredible and the only things I can fault it for are the annoying time-skips and harem parts (these aren't actually that bad tbf).
Art: 8/10
Not many people will praise the art of this show, in fact I bet most people would rather bash it. I can kinda see why, especially when compared to the Alicization style. However, I think this style has its own charm, after all its probably one of the first shows you watched so the art brings some nostalgia surely. Art isn't so big a deal for me as most and I don't see many problems with SAO's.
Sound: 10/10
Ok the music in this show is phenominal and it does not matter how much you hate the show, you cannot deny that. Everything from the nostalgic opening to the music in every scene. Usually shows play music and I don't even realise they had music in them at the end of them. This show is one of the few where you notice EVERY track that plays because it is just so damn good.
Character: 8/10
KiriSuna is amazing and I don't care what you say.
Individually, Kirito is a cliché op mc who gets all the chicks. As SAO goes on this remains true but it is still built upon straight from episode 3 and we are brought back to this constantly in the latest season 8 years later.
Asuna is pretty much instant best waifu for everyone who watched SAO to begin with. Looking back, most of them can't stand her. To this day I still think she is a really enjoyable character to watch and easily my favourite from the show. Her problems lie in how she differs in the arcs - she starts off as a seemingly confident and strong person before devolving into a "oh kirito put it in me" character that needs saving from everything.
Klein and Agil are enjoyable additions as they don't interrupt the relationship and aren't typical obnoxious characters. They are actually just really chill dudes.
Liz and Silica on the other hand are just there because why not a harem. I don't dislike them still, as they understand that Kirito likes Asuna and don't really try to get in the way of them at all, granted they rarely show up after their respective episodes in the Aincrad arc.
Enjoyment: 10/10
Just because something is objectively bad, does not mean people won't enjoy the hell out of it.
When I watched this a few years ago, I remember rewatching the first 14 episodes every day for a week and then some. After that I watched through all of the game dialogue etc etc just to see more of the characters.
There is no show I can say that I get more immersed in than SAO. I did a rewatch of this after 2 years a few months back and can safely say that I love it just as much as I once did.
Overall: 9/10
I can't give this a 10/10 because it still has its obvious flaws that even I cannot gloss over. Like Kayaba's motivation for the whole death game, the harem episodes, the time skips etc.
I honestly think Progression might solve everything, but I could be wrong.

I love this show, and probably for the wrong reasons. I have not cried at a show as much as I have cried at this. I had an emotional breakdown watching this show.
Story: 10/10
This show starts out really really cute and hilarious, at times there is sadness over Null's situation and other times there is a slight unease or anxiety about a lurking something. As the show goes on it really builds on these feelings and the ending was handled so well and I cried like a baby.
Art: 8/10

changes to accompany the comedic moments and does a really good job of doing so. There are budget limits for such shows so you cannot expect Demon Slayer animation or anything like that, but sometimes that isn't the point. I, for one, think that the art of a show is mostly irrelevant to the score.
Sound: 8/10
The VAs did a brilliant job at their characters and really expressed emotions well throughout the story.
Character: 8/10
A super-genius child and an overprotective big-breasted mofu-mofu onee-san/ robot. There aren't really any other characters and these two, although not so original, are still done so well. The way Null reacts when Peta passes away is quite heart-wrenching and the way she treats her sister when she is a robot really shows how much we take things for granted - she treats her similar to how she would if her sister were still alive, and it really shows when you take that away how much a person can change.
Null is pretty cute and is a super-funny super-genius who hates her sister's cooking but still loves her more than anything else, which she shows alot throughout the show. She shows great concern for even her robot sister.
Peta is such a comforting character. Although, we don't see much of her real self, we can tell in her robot self that she really cares for Null and it is making me tear up remembering it.
Enjoyment: 10/10
If I have not made it clear already then I shall say again that this show is probably the best hour I have spent in my life and I don't know if I will ever get to relive it again.
Most people will likely get bored and drop the show, or will not think anything other than "just another short show to pass the time". With how many tears I shed watching this show, I disagree with these but each to their own.
Overall: 10/10
Just watch the show, its incredible.

So ToniKawa... this show is borderline what a romance show should be. None of that harem crap. None of that "high school" crap. None of that beach scene crap. None of that ecchi crap. It cuts to the chase, has likeable characters and actually has romance in it (surprising for this day n age). It is adorable and should not be missed for people that appreciate wholesome adorable relationships that aren't full of school-drama or constant relationship drama.
Story: 9/10

big secrets. If the secrets are what most people think they are, it really makes the show worse in my opinion.
Art: 8/10
Art is similar to that of We Never Learn, but it is better. There are only a few minor slip-ups in the art, if even that.
Sound: 8/10
VAs were amazing for this, not a single complaint. Music is fitting for the situation in which it plays, but its nothing too memorable or special.
Characters: 8/10
Even the cliché characters are written well. The parents are hilarious, the mains are adorable and the supporting are also a good laugh and change of pace. Even the "obnoxious tsun-imouto" character is not too immersion breaking and I have no problems with her.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate Nasa. Usually male leads in romance shows are insufferable perverts with nothing but porn for brains. Nasa is genuinely the nicest guy - he has the occaisional perverted thoughts but thats normal for a guy of his age anyway, unlike the "living bruh moment" that is Kazuya in Rent a Girlfriend. Nasa is also a genius and his intelligence meshes with his kindness and slight pervertedness to present a suitable romance lead. He is likeable by the majority, I would hope, and fits the idea of a fantasy character in a romantic show, as opposed to a giga-horny teenager who does nothing but beat off 24/7 and still gets laid.
Tsukasa is a very questionable character, though. I suppose it is intended so its not really a drawback. But you wonder, "oh so this guy likes her because she saved him and is super-cute, why does she like him then?" Sure she has her reasons later in the show, but to begin with she has nothing. She has hints at a huge secret that could change everything about her and the show, which creates an unease and still does until it is actually touched upon, Christ only knows when that will be.
Enjoyment: 9/10
It starts going slightly downhill when they return to Tokyo but its not a huge step down, the first episodes were incredible but it feels like it goes from a romance to a SoL after Nara - re-introducing the side characters and making them more mainstream- before we saw them for a minute or so and then they went and we got back to the relationship, but towards the end it feels like it focuses on everyone as a group. For example, in the final episode they go to the summer festival - had this festival happened on episode 3, it would have been just the main two, but because of these side characters being brought in, they are all there at the end and it kinda fixes what aint broke and therefore, breaks it.
I want to express how happy I am that this show does not follow a school setting. It wasn't until the last few episodes that I realised I hadn't the need for thoughts of "ugh a cultural festival/ beach ep/ school trip/ graduation/ tests/ universties/ some other trash annoying cliché". Even a show like this has a "maturity" to it and that is what makes a romance anime good imo.
One major thing to mention is that usually when watching as show, I will tend to space out, or get distracted "oh I kinda wanna go play a game after this episode" or I'll start googling random things during an episode. This happens too much and is the reason I rarely watch anime these days. This show however, I was able to binge all the episodes back-to-back without that happening. This show is just so good.
Overall: 9/10
Honestly this show is what romance anime should aspire to be. The out of school setting is so much better than school settings as usual because its not just a repeat of the last 50 shows you have watched. It is not too dissimilar to "I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying" or "Love is Like a Cocktail" and that makes it even better. Unlike those two, however, it follows a story with more fleshes out characters and, of course, more content. More romance and more butterflies.
