First anime watched ever: 1991, Attacker You!
Courtesy of the first anime-broadcasting television network and my not-so-great health condition. The network and my poor health are long, long gone, but I also managed to get the experience of watching original Captain Tsubasa and a few other.
Currently struggling to reach a decent level of Japanese language - fairly half way home.
What I like the most about anime:
- Mystery
- Thriller
- Slice of life - if it's any good
- Adventure
- Shounen
- Almost everything else, if it uses a good story, I'm not dissing anything based on its genre alone, if I watch a few episodes and it draws me in.
What I absolutely dislike:
- Ups and down of romantic couples - romance is good if it's funny and unusual, otherwise I keep myself away from it
- Shounen ai / Shojo ai
- Harem / reverse harem - the first one is cliche and tasteless, the latter being simply boring and naive
- Most of fantasy - I've grown out of youkai series, mages don't necessarily interest me, although I am able to make some exceptions
- Most of mecha - there are some series that I've watched without taking a breath, but I'm pretty sure I won't go for Gundam and Macross
- Also most of space stuff - there are some exceptions too
- Plus when I see even a slightest bit of fan service, I automatically drop the series if it's not good enough to make me ignore the FS.
A bit much, huh? The same applies to manga, although I'm more prone to go for shojo romance manga than anime (you can read it fairly fast :D).

Have you been studying Japanese too?
You and my big Virgo friend must have similar tastes.
Also some of those episodes are pretty good chararacter development episodes that help really flesh out the characters relationships and what not, so its up to you if you want to skip all that but personally i like them my self.

But i sort of dissagree, some of those episodes were very much part of the story, i would not under any circumstance miss the 133-134 special, as it unravels the truth about naruku's ambition right from the start of the series and what actually happend that day. I dont see how any can say thats a filler. I'll try to look for a more thorough guide. I do know that most of season 4 is all filler though. and part of season 6.
