This anime delves into themes rarely explored in other anime, making it a unique experience, at least from my perspective. Frieren is an elf who is seemingly cold, dense, and apathetic. She stands in stark contrast to empathy. In the spectrum of human emotions, she was once deemed heartless due to the apparent absence of emotion in her demeanor. It's a character type that might initially appear unlikable, but as you delve deeper, you'll come to understand why it's unfair to fault her for this trait — it stems from her nature as a long-lived elf.

we understand its finite nature much better — once experienced, it is irreplaceable. And once time is spent, it cannot be retrieved. Consider if any other species shares this depth of perception. It seems unlikely. Of all known beings, we humans possess a uniquely profound capacity to perceive the significance of life, it's a trait ingrained in our nature. And for elves, who might essentially live for eternity if they so choose, they couldn't be careless. They see time differently, have a distinct emotional structure, and generally have a whole different outlook on life than humans do. That is also ingrained in their nature. While spending a year with your dog may seem like a mere passage of time to you, but for the dog, it may feel akin to five years. But we're talking about a far larger scale here, as though a decade might seem as fleeting as a mere month, that's how ridiculous their time perspective is.
And yet despite this seemingly absurd nature, there was one experience that profoundly altered Frieren's life. It was her ten-year journey with her party. Although this journey constituted only an extremely small fraction of her long life, it held a special place in her heart. It created countless precious memories, some of which she has yet to understand. Specially from one member of her party, Himmel. Charismatic and caring, albeit a tad narcissistic, Himmel left a lasting impression on Frieren. His influence touched her heart deeply, but Frieren's nature only turns it into lasting regret, prompting her to explore the enigmatic and perplexing nature of humans. This desire sparked within her a singular goal: to understand humans. Thus, Frieren embarked on another journey, driven by this newfound aspiration.
I believe that is the core essence of this anime — to strive for understanding despite having inherent differences. The longing for comprehension serves as a means to fulfill an integral aspect of oneself. Only through this journey can one grasp not only the emotions of others but also gain awareness of their own feelings. And that we often don't realize that we're creating some of the happiest memories of our lives until they become nothing more than memories of the past. It's a journey of self-discovery, and a constant reminiscence of the past. Despite Frieren's apparent apathetic nature, she does indeed care for her loved ones in her own way. Her pursuit to understand humans is a testament to her love and concern for the people in her life.
Although this anime revolves around mages and their magical prowess, it leans more towards storytelling than action. The battle scenes are often relatively brief and straightforward, avoiding excessive emphasis on displays of strength. So if you're someone who seeks action and thrives on that hype in a story, it might be wise not to set high expectations for this anime in that regard, as it's not its specialty and it lies elsewhere. The story also includes hints of romantic interests, adding another layer of intrigue for people to anticipate as they follow its progression.
In general, this anime stood out as one of the most interesting stories I've come across in a while. Despite not watching much anime these days, I decided to give it a chance based on its intriguing appearance, and it certainly did not disappoint. It's uncommon for me to become so emotionally engaged with new anime, and I believe many others would feel the same. Also, both opening songs were incredible. they are created by two of my favorite J-pop artists, Yoasobi and Yorushika. I'm not exaggerating when I say they were my favorites, so I was really pleasantly surprised to hear them both made opening themes for the same anime. Anyway, it's a fantastic series, and I would probably recommend it.

I had to rewatch the previous season because it is been so long. I just want to watch it while the plot of the previous season is still fresh in my mind. there aren't many anime that handle the story involving special abilities, crime organization, and mysteries as good as bungou no stray dogs did. Its broad range of themes is propelled by creative writing. It is one of the masterworks of its genre, so I want to have the best experience possible while watching it.
First off, the anime begins with a flashback of Rampo's past. He basically gained a lot of exposure this season.

and that basically adds in depth identity prior to his character and role to the armed detctive agency.
The detective agency will confront yet another disaster that will lead to their demise and cause them to face dillemas. They must take a calculated approach as they deal with the perpetrators. They also did an excellent job of introducing new powerful characters who exude an intimidating aura. The story's sense of mystery and unpredictability will have you on the edge of your seat.
The art does an excellent job of presenting the story. and that enhances the appeal of this anime in addition to its well-written mystery elements. The attention to detail they applied to the presentation is excellent. especially in the first few episodes, I like the way the monochromatic colors they used transitioned into full color. It is quite expressive and helps in expressing the character's emotions and perspective.
Overall, it's great and one of the best anime this season. and definitely worth watching

Despite the fact that I really wanted to watch this series, the amount of spoilers I'd seen about it discouraged me. but at the same time, as a person who considers himself a fan of classical music. I feel like I shouldn't be missing out on this series. I just randomly got in the mood and gave it a shot. and this series had exceeded my initial expectations.

Kousei Arima is a child prodigy pianist. When he was a kid, under the guidance of a strict mother, he underwent rigorous and harsh training. His childhood was filled with resentment, guilt, and trauma due to the immense pressure he underwent. Despite his painful childhood, Arima is calm, gentle, and dense. A characteristic I wouldn't expect from someone who had been through a painful past He spends his days along with his childhood friends Tsubaki Sawabe and Watari Ryouta. But he frequently spent his time alone with his thoughts. His seemingly dull and monotonous life suddenly became more vibrant when he met Kaori Miyazono.
Kaori is a passionate violinist. a cheerful, aggressive type of person. almost the complete antithesis of Arima's personality. She is a phenomenal violinist, despite being regarded as a really sloppy violinist from a technical perspective, such as not adhering to music score sheets as they are written. as if making the music her own. Even so, it is her distinct playing style that is the most captivating aspect of her music.
Arima and Kaori's initial relationship may have left many people feeling dissatisfied. And even as the series progresses, one would have high expectations for the romance element it contains. After all, that is how the anime portrayed the preface. and you cant help but imagine how their relationship would grow.

Many characters in the series have their own person they look up to, someone they admire, like a candle in the midst of darkness, like a hero. And for Arima, it's Kaori Miyazono. Her compassion assisted him in breaking free from his dark past. He was once more able to get to his feet and carry on with his life.
This series' greater allure comes from the fact that it is more than just a tale of falling in love in the midst of youth or about a musician's passion for music, delving deep into their heart. It is a story about freedom.
Freedom from the shackles of emotion, from the cage of fear you are trapped in. healing the wounds of the painful past. Maybe change isn't so bad after all; all you need to do is muster the courage, inspiration, and motivation to move forward and step onto something unconventional you've been too afraid to enter. and by then you'll be able to see the whole world and find yourself, where you truly belong.
Time is flowing, and change is inevitable. Whether you love or loathe your seemingly unchanging life, change will always come. Days will not always be the same. You have no choice but to accept and embrace it, regardless of how frightening or painful it may be. and live another chapter of your life. Even if the people around you leave you along the way, even if it means struggling, even though you don't know what lies ahead, always continue to step forward. In this way, the joyful moments and precious memories you shared with your loved ones won't be in vain.
We will have both difficult and joyful experiences along the way. We will meet people with whom we will share our good times. and even though the relationship and pleasant memories we have with someone may only last a short while, their presence lasts just long enough to affect us in ways we never imagined possible.
Some fans might find the portrayal of youth in this series to be unrealistically mature. We frequently did not perceive life as being so profoundly meaningful when we were that age. But that is what this series is willingly approaching in a fanciful but passionate manner. After all, Your lie in April is a fictional work that has been written and presented in a way that allows it to tell a rich and emotionally evocative story. given that it could have a few drawbacks as a work of fiction. But it's not that significant, and you wouldn't mind much anyway.
Fiction is often made up of ideality, something out of reality. because, let's face the truth, reality can be dull, painful, and scary. Simply put, the universe is simply unconcerned with your thoughts and feelings. But with fiction, an ideal story can be brought to life. something that is hardly ever possible for us to experience in real life. It's entertaining, it's interesting. Your Lie in April is a kind of story that initially seems to be made of ideality. it's light-hearted, and warming. but at the same time also tainted with elements of sorrow and despair. As the story develops, these two opposing elements will come into contact, and which will give you the impression that perhaps it will have an emotional satisfying outcome. Not all stories, though, are willing to approach it in that manner. Despite this, Your lie in April managed to transform it into a bittersweet feeling.
Among all the stories you've ever heard or seen, those that have left an indelible imprint on your heart are perhaps the most memorable. those that touches your emotion, and left your mind contemplating. and that is what I experienced in this series. It will be one of those that I'll never forget. Perhaps leaving a mark on the audience's hearts was the main objective of this series. so that it will leave a lasting impression. and it succeeds in doing so.
The animation is excellent. It stands out in the places where it needs to stand out. and it succeeds in conveying the atmosphere it seeks to convey. The atmosphere and characters are given such a lively vibe thanks to the prominent lighting and vibrant colors.
The same theme can be heard in the soundtrack. Together with the visuals, it creates the atmosphere and emotions suitable for each scenario being presented. When the character begins to play a classical piece, it uses the opportunity to portray a story at the same time. This results in an inexplicable feeling that only music can convey.
this anime already exists for quite a long time now. and it's likely that you've already seen a lot of the spoilers before you even watched it, (at least for me) which is discouraging. It's unfortunate that this series lost some of its potential viewers because they were aware of how it would end. But this series is more than that, I assure you. More than you might imagine, it has a lot to offer. this series is beautiful, and worth shredding tears for.

It's my second time watching Satoshi Kon's work, "Perfect Blue" being the first. Some of its similarities are very noticeable. This particular style of portraying a story is unique, which I haven't seen very much of in other animes I've watched so far; perhaps it is truly a signature of Satoshi Kon's style.
First off, the anime starts as a typical mystery anime, displaying a variety of hints that appear to be a key to understanding the story.
Maromi was designed by character designer Tsukiko Sagi, and it became a very well-known figure. She is under pressure to create a follow-up to her first hit while struggling

with a creative block. Late at night, as she walked home, she noticed a small, homeless woman who then abruptly vanished as she turned around. From there, things become increasingly unsettling, ending in her being struck over the head by an unidentified elementary school punk wearing gold skates and wielding a bent bat. This incident was reported on and made the news, attracting the attention of detectives, who then start investigating the case. Similar occurrences quickly follow, with victims describing the suspect in the same way.
At first, the incidents occur in a seemingly consistent pattern. It will somehow allow you to take a guess and predict how the story will unfold. but then it will start defying all of your expectations in order to introduce a newer concept, which will allow you to see a much bigger picture. When I noticed that, the plot was fairly simple for me to comprehend and keep up with.
You need to have a much broader perspective in order to truly comprehend the story. Take care not to misinterpret the meaning behind some of the portrayals. (Unless you are familiar with Satoshi Kon's works, keep an open mind about what it might represent and refrain from making quick judgments.)
The portrayal of the story frequently shifts from reality into a setting that is far more surreal. This allows one to transcend reality's constraints in order to express a rather complex idea, which portrays reality in an imaginative and figurative manner. sometimes making the audience puzzled about whether a particular scene is real or not. For me, this is a brilliant way to handle a psychological plot. Anyone who considers themselves a fan of psychological fiction will regard this show as one of the masterworks of the genre. Even so, as I previously stated, one of its drawbacks is that not everyone will be able to keep up with this story and thus will find it difficult to appreciate this work.
Nonetheless, it really succeeds as psychological fiction. It explores the nature of the human mind pretty well, presented in an extremely creative style. And the title is well thought out, justifying the plot.

Perfection doesn't exist; lying is inevitable inorder to become ideal.
Almost everything you see is not what it appears to be. It's just beyond our ability to see. In reality, there is a lot going on behind the scenes.
Behind the seemingly perfect beings known as "idols," which were made to please many people, are also people who are flawed.
Oshi no ko attempts to criticize and express the reality that lies behind the entertainment industry. while simultaneously having a main plot that drives the story.
The protagonist, Gorou Amemiya, was killed under unexplained circumstances and later reincarnated as the child of his idol. He was later named Aqua,

along with his twin sister, Rub. He is driven to pursue an ultimate goal as a result of an unexpected, tragic turn of events. Yet this pursuit has the potential to corrupt him.
With the main characters growing up in the environment exposed in the entertainment industry, the story's setting is frequently within that spectrum. which enables the presentation of both the positive and dark aspects of the entertainment business. The plot is also covered with sincerely mature subjects. This leaves a feeling of unease, yet it is willing to address it in an empathetic way. It really changed my perspective on entertainment after reading this.
The first 10 chapters of this manga are a roller coaster of events, so unless you have read the synopsis before beginning to read, it feels so random that you will have no idea what kind of story this manga is attempting to portray. To be honest, I found the premise absurd from the start; I thought it was pretty mid. but then it proves itself after reading the prologue. Nevertheless, I found the story compelling enough to keep me interested.
I can also observe that the story is riddled with elements of plot convenience. For example, being able to "reincarnate" somehow feels so odd for a storyline about "idols." Perhaps it was a plot device intended purely to give the protagonist a "motive" for whatever the author intended to be the protagonist's goal. But it seems to have been poorly executed in some way. I haven't seen any information about why or what caused their reincarnation in the first place, up to this point. I guess the author let it and will leave it like that. but I don't think the viewers will mind the imperfections anyway. Perhaps it's still too early to make a proper judgment. Most people will definitely enjoy reading this manga. You'll be intrigued by the story's sense of mystery. as well as the charming, lovable characters that further the appeal of this manga.
The most appealing aspect of this manga is its art. The art style is ideally suited and succeeds in expressing the feeling this manga is attempting to convey. Let's just hope that the upcoming anime adaptation won't ruin this but rather improve the overall mood and atmosphere of this manga.
Overall, I really like this manga and would recommend it. It's worth the ride.

(a little background before I start)
I watched this anime four years ago, but I didn't fully understand some of the mysteries in it in great detail at the time, as it was my first time watching an anime, let alone the "mystery" type of anime. Despite this, it didn't stop me from enjoying the anime; rather, it was one of the reasons why it is one of my all-time favorites.
I was hesitant to watch it again for fear of ruining the experience I had the first time I watched it (I guess, I'm being O.A.). But hey, I've rewatched the entire thing, and it didn't

happen. I understand the story and the characters in great detail now. and this time I'm writing a review.
It's about the story of a high school student named Oreki Houtarou, who is introverted, cynical, and an "energy conservationist" (aka lazy).
"If I don't have to do it, I won't. If I have to do it, then make it quick."
High school life, as everyone describes it, is the "peak of youth." so one would want to spend their precious high school life in a memorable way. Academics, sports, and romance would come to mind. or, as some might say, a "rose-colored" life.Even so, there are some people who are not interested in any of those. people who think it's a waste of energy to involve themselves in those things. It may be the most boring way to spend your youth. But this is how Houtarou Oreki would describe himself. a "gray-colored" life. He spends his days expelling as little energy as possible.
Because of this lifestyle, he has no plans to join any clubs. But her sister, who was a former member of the "classics literature club," requested that he join this club; otherwise, the club would be disbanded for having no members. He thought the repercussions of refusing such request would be tiresome for him, so he joined the club along with Eru Chitanda, Satoshi Fukube, and Mayaka Ibara. and so Houtarou's way of living starts to change.
This change is mainly due to Chitanda Eru, who often gets curious, discovered that Oreki has great deductive abilities. Chitanda's curiosity frequently compels Houtarou to solve some mysteries. and for some reason, Houtaoru can't seem to refuse her. The mysteries range from intriguing circumstances involving being locked inside a room, ghost sightings, an unfinished independent mystery film, a 45-year-old event involving Chitanda's uncle, incidents during the cultural festival, etc. These mystery solvings are primarily what make up this anime.
One thing I have noticed is that these mystery solving are primarily focused on Oreki Houtarou, but not exclusively so. Each of them plays a part in helping Houtarou reach a conclusion that makes sense. Chitanda brings up a mystery, Satoshi provides the information, and Oreki deduces. or sometimes Mayaka weighs in to see if the deduction makes sense. For this reason, I don't believe Houtarou is a flawless detective on his own. He is reliant on luck. Give him enough clues, and he'll be able to figure it out. The issue is that Houtarou occasionally struggles to come up with enough hints. Or, in some cases, Houtarou failed to notice important clues that were crucial to solving the case and arrived at the incorrect conclusion. He sometimes doesn't manually search for the hints; instead, he is fortunate enough to receive them. This imperfection is, in my opinion, what makes his character realistic. Being too flawless wouldn't be ideal and would be dull; thus, this was written on purpose to make it much more interesting.
This anime has 22 episodes, which allows for a significant amount of character development over the course of the series. It is notably noticeable, especially on the main character, Oreki Houtarou. Joining the Classics Club caused him to reconsider his entire life. One of the things I can think of that prompted it was when his friends in the club were cheerfully discussing; During that period, introverted Houtarou felt out of place. As a result, he desired to feel "included" in the group and began to consider aspects of his life that he normally would not bother to consider. Initially, Oreki was hesitant to expend unnecessary energy and would sometimes devise a strategy to avoid situations where Chitanda might force him to do so. Houtarou's gray-colored life gradually began to turn into something more vibrant with time, primarily as a result of his involvement with the classics club. He begins to pursue mysteries and fulfill his own curiosity without the need for Chitanda to prod him.
On the other hand, Satoshi Fukube also played a crucial role in Houtarou's ability to make a deduction. As I mentioned previously, once Houtarou has enough hints, he can deduce, but these hints frequently come from Satoshi. He possesses some form of fundamental knowledge about practically everything, which would be quite helpful to Oreki. His pursuit of his own talent is primarily responsible for his knowledge. Although it turns out that he has none, nevertheless, he accepts these qualities. At some point, Satoshi grew dissatisfied with his role and lack of ability in comparison to Oreki. On some episodes, Satoshi attempts to solve a mystery by himself but in a fairly futile attempt to equalize houtarou's abilities.

In several scenes, he is depicted as being slightly envious. But in the end, it would only make him realize another fact for himself, allowing him to move on and continue. Satoshi, too, undergoes character development; it is very evident, as seen by his statement in the second to final episode, that he no longer obsesses about anything. Both Oreki and Satoshi noticed the changes in each other and were glad about them.
Through the course of the series, Chitanda and Houtarou's relationship grew closer. However, let me point out that there is no romance in this anime. There are various signs that suggest there may be a romance. However, romance is not the core of this anime. I've seen other Kyoani animes that have done the same thing. Perhaps it's one of their traits. Many viewers of the series have done so for the romance rather than the slice-of-life or mystery. and would end up disappointed and finding the story "boring," which makes me unhappy. It's a shame that they focused too much attention on the romantic element and missed out on a lot of good things that make up this anime. I recommend watching the anime for its mystery and slice-of-life elements rather than for its romance.
I can't think of another studio that could handle this anime as well as Kyoto Animation. They are simply the most perfect studio for this series.
The presentation of hyouka is simply superb. They manage to capture the perfect mood and atmosphere suitable for each situation being portrayed. pulling the viewer away from the normalcy of the setting into a far more surreal environment. Composed up of bright lighting, stylish visuals, and melancholy soundtracks. A surrealistic approach can also be seen in several visual presentations; Particularly on various portrayals of Oreki's thought processes and Oreki's overactive imagination, where he imagines that Chitanda traps him with blossoming flowers or where he sees several little angels that mimic Chitanda surrounding him and saying, "I'm curious."
Aside from the visuals, let's talk about the soundtrack. Now, this is one of my favorite aspects of the anime. One year ago, I got hooked on listening to classical music. It's the only genre of music so far that made me experience a wide range of emotions, including melancholy and an odd sense of nostalgia as if you've heard it before. That's why I became more appreciative of Hyouka for using this type of soundtrack as I watched it again. especially on their usage of two of Bach's most well-known musical compositions, the cello suite no. 1 in G major and the Air on a G String. This usage of classical tunes combined with ominous and perplexing melodies flawlessly works together on the visuals to produce a wonderful ambiance that catches the feeling of the viewer. Throughout all 22 episodes, there has largely been consistency in this degree of attention to detail.
Please take note that my enjoyment and experience were major factors in determining my rating and contained a small amount of objectivity. In the end, no matter how amazing a work is created, it all comes down to the viewer's taste; whether they would love it or not is mostly determined by their preferences.
For me, Hyouka is unique on its own. and that is an undeniable fact.
