So we finally met! I don't know about you, but I had a blast hanging out with you.
Maybe someone can come up for NYCC (hint hint). You could stay with us if you did. Just a suggestion hun.

I got a horrible case of con plague and I'm still not a hundred percent over it. I still have a bit of a cough and I think I managed to catch an ear infection though that may be that since I have been sick my defenses were down and I caught it here since it only started to hurt recently. Since i got sick, of course Chris got sick too but he is fine now.

How have things been with you? How is work going? Did you show everyone your new wallet? I'm thinking of watching My Little Ponies since you are the second person whose opinion I trust who enjoys that show. I wonder if it's on netflix They recently added all of Dexter's Lab, Power Puff Girls, Johnny Bravo, and Samurai Jack so I have been watching a lot of my favorite childhood cartoons.

Our last day in Chicago was so beautiful we can't wait to go back. We were talking about going back in June but one of our friends invited us to her wedding in June (in Atlanta) so we are thinkng about going there which would put our return trip to Chicago on hold (until August that is). How is the weather in Chicago in August, It's in the 90s here but it almost never goes over 100 here. I don't think I could handle 100+ degree weather.

Talk to you soon hun
Hugs!

Please don't feel bad about taking a while to answer.
I'm exhausted just reading everything you've been doing. The whole idea of your raise being based on people getting jobs is just ridiculous. I understand it being based on their grades but finding a job is is hard now a days.
How has the job hunt been going? It really sounds like you need a new job. This one is too stressful and takes up too much of your time. What is happening to teachers is unfair but it's happening everywhere.

I actually just finished reading Chobits. I have the first 6 volumes and I've been looking for the last two. They started releasing them in those omnibuses that I don't like so I finally just dl'd it and read the last part. It's a lot deeper than the anime. It really delves into the whole blurry line separating persocoms and humans and the humans who choose to ignore that line.

Saga is awesome. I actually met BKV at a Saga release party and talked to him for a while about the first issue. I think the first trade is out. You should pick it up.

Avengers was amazing. I saw it in theaters 7 times (not just for the eye candy) and have seen it on blu ray about 4. Just such a well written, well acted, great movie.

What did you think of the big reveal in Dark Knight Rises? Chris was surprised but the minute she spoke for the first time I knew she was Talia. After they had sex and you see this tiny little scar on her back I was certain she was Talia (though I don't know if she had that scar in the comics. for me it was the same as if she had had her name tattooed on her back)

I'm so excited to meet you! Chris keeps teasing me about how I seem more excited about meeting you than C2E2, but hey we've been talking for a while and it'll be great to finally hang out.

We are coming in through O'Hare and are staying at the Hyatt McCormick.
We are arriving Thursday morning and are leaving Monday night. We wanted a little extra time to explore. We will be going to the aquarium and I'm not sure what else.
Do you have any suggestions for food?
Also a bunch of us who are coming to C2E2 from NY are getting together Thursday night (probably at a bar) would you like to come? It'd be great if you could (though considering your oh so crazy schedule I understand if you are too busy). You could bring some friends too if you like. The more the merrier.
Hugs!

The joy Chris gets out of watching Fist of the North Star is a site to behold.
He thinks it's the most awesome thing he has ever seen.

What comics have you been reading? Have you read Saga? I really enjoy it.

What did you think of the Avengers movie (can you believe we never talked about that?)

I've been watching so much anime lately.
I was stuck home for 3 weeks because of the hurricane. So I was watching a lot of anime on Hulu plus. I'm trying to marathon through Bleach. There was a time when I was up to date on it but then some terrible filler started and I stopped watching. I was like 175 episodes behind. Now I am only 140 behind so that's a plus.
I kind of hope they do a final act for Bleach like they did with InuYasha when the manga finished.
Chris and I started watching Fist of the North Star together. He has always wanted to see that series and it was one I enjoyed years ago so I don't mind watching it again.
They are showing all the Miyazaki films at the IFC center this month but we haven't been able to go see any of them yet. I think I own all the ones they are showing anyway. Though I would love to see them on the big screen especially Princess Mononoke.
Your boss reminds me of my old boss. H=He was always making promises he had no intention of keeping. WHen he hired me he told me he had to start me on a low salary to see if I would work out. I agreed because I had been looking for a job for close to 5 months at the time. So a month after I joined, the guy who trained me (and the only other person in technical support) left because he had been promised a raise for 4 years.
My boss gave me 50 more bucks a month and told me he would hire someone to help me. Over a year passed. One of the inusrance people left and he had me doing insurance work too. He would sign off on the stuff I did since I didn't have a license. Still didn't hire anyone to help me with tech support or give me a raise.
Finally he hired his niece's husband to work with me. I trained him for a month (I discovered that he was earning twice my salary, since he was family) and I planned to confront my boss when he got back from vacation. The Friday before he came back, I was let go by his mother (who also worked there). The reason that I was left working there after he hired Bill, was because he needed me to train him.
Then he told the unemployment people I quit because I had told him that if he didn't find someone to help me or give me a raise I wold have to start looking for a new job.
Uggh, he was such a dick.

Yes we finally get to meet! I must admit, I'm more excited for that than the actual convention. I know the convention will be fun, but we will finally get to hang out!

I still don't feel any different. It's just the way it always was. I do get a little excited when he introduces me as his wife though.

Yeah it was mainly an inconvenience. I missed a lot of work (I started this week at the old place. It' being rebuilt, the entire first floor has been gutted. They are slowly rebuilding the first floor but at least I have a job again.

Hmmm, you would find a gold mine here. I see at least 3 or 4 tvs a day around here. They are always being thrown out. Especially after the hurricane. A lot of the houses around here got flooded. We were quite lucky. Just 2 blocks from here was flooded halfway up the block.

My Thanksgiving was good too. I cooked for hours and grumbled that I'm never going to make Thanksgiving dinner again (I say that every year) and then we ate till I felt like I was going to explode.
I'm glad you are done with the grades. Teachers really do so much work outside of school. They deserve much more money than they actually make.

Yay you wrote back!

I only just saw it now. I really just use the updater app for my tablet so I barely come to this site itself.

Did you find a new job? The school system there sounds ridiculous Why wouldn't the schools work with each other? It makes no sense to me.
A lot of jobs are like that. You do all the work an instead of giving you more money, they hire other people to help you (though usually at least with me, having to train those people was more trouble than it was worth) and you don't get any money for all your extra work.

A lot of stuff as happened with me since we last spoke.

Chris' nanny died and all hell broke loose. She was in the hospital for 2 months before her death and she was fading fast. It was terrible to see. I was not expecting the horribleness that was to come when she died though.
She died on a Wednesday. The wake was Friday and the funeral was on Saturday. Chris' dad came up on Thursday and was calling the real estate agent as soon as he landed. We were told on Wednesday that we had to move and that we would be giving a few weeks. That Sunday we were told that we had to be out by that day because people were coming to look at the house on Monday. Can you believe that crap?
I'd been taking care of her for over 2 years and we were given like 3 days to move all our stuff. We finally finished packing and getting everything out at 4am Sunday night /Monday morning.
These are not poor people, but they were desperate for the 2 million dollars the house was worth.
Chris and I have cut off all communication with that side of his family. We hr still talks to most of his cousins but not his Aunts or dad.

Soon after that we found a place and because of that couldn't really spend money at comic con since we had to put down first, last, and security plus pay 1 month in a brokers fee. So because of that, we have decided to go to C2E2 next year! I am so excited. The con falls on my birthday so it'll also be my birthday celebration. You are going right? Please say that you are! If you aren't, you still have to come out and meet Chris and I.
We are currently looking for a hotel and I think Chris bought the tickets though I'm not 100% sure.

Ok, hmmm... what else happened?
Oh yeah, I got married.
We couldn't afford to keep saving up for the wedding we'd been planning because a lot of our savings went towards this apartment (which is beautiful, and if you ever come to NY for the con or just to visit, please know that we would love it if you stayed with us,) so we decided to elope. We had a total of 30 people (4 from my side) (20 from Chris' moms side of the family, no one from his dad side was invited) (and 6 of our closest friends) and walked onto the Brooklyn bridge and got married. It was fun and great, and I've been married a grand total of 2 weeks and I don't feel any different.

OH and I haven't been able to work for the past 3 weeks because 2 weeks after I found a great job the place where I worked was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. They are rebuilding and it will be ready before Christmas so I am told. If I want to earn money, I can go to the place where they evacuated the patients. It's a 2 hour train ride (4 trains I have to take during this 2 hour train ride) and then a 30 minute walk from the station. OH and did I mention the LIRR tickets and metro card rides come out to 40 a day to go there. It's a pain in the butt but I am doing it just so I have a little spending money. I know I'm married but I don't feel comfortable with Chris giving me money to get my nails done and to but things I want.

Oh well, hugs to you. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving and I hope to hear from you soon!

I feel like it has been forever since we last spoke. Life has gotten insane.

How have you been? Howw is work going. You are almost done withthis semester right? Are you enjoyig the Astronomy class?I took Astronomy is 7th grade and I realy liked it. How are the new students?

How is your moms building? Did you evict those problem tenantss? Did you get any new tenants?

Did you go to the comic con last week?

What new comics have you been reading. Have you read Saga? I love it. I actually met Brian K. Vaughan recently and told him about it.

Life is becoming very stressful right now. Chris' dad is making our lives impossible. I can't wait till we get married and leave this house and never have to worry about him again.

Are you coming to comic con this year?

Oh, whatever happened to that horrible girl that was in your class? I know youswitched schools, but did anything happen with her before you left?

Do they have Metro PCS in your area? I love Metro PCS. I have a very nice android smart phone an dI pay 50 dollars a month. Well technically I pay 54 because I have the insurance on the phone but my bill is 50 dollars a month, all taxes included. I get everything unlimited and it works great.
Sometimes I have connection issues if I'm up in Albany or something but in the city it works amazing.

How was your Christmas? Did you get any interesting presents? I got a bunch of nice stuff the coolest of which was a beer making kit that Chris and I had put on our wedding registry. We made the first batch and it's fermenting right now.
We tried it yesterday and it tastes like beer only flat and bitter.
Tonight we are putting it into bottles with a little sugar so the yeast has something to eat and it can ferment for another week.

That girl is a piece of work. She's so stupid to think that you wouldn't change the test. She should be expelled for cheating. I can't believe the only help your superiors gave you was to tell you to fail her.

How is your mom doing? Did she find any new tenants?

Everyone is happy about Chris and I getting married except for his dad and stepmom.

Chris' dad doesn't like me because Chris stands up for himself more since meeting me. Michael can no longer control what Chris does and that makes him mad.
Susan can't stand me for pretty much the same reason and the added fact that I am Spanish and she is a huge racist.

The things she says are just awful.
For instance she told Chris this (years ago, before Chris met me):
If you invite those jews (meaning Chris' mom, uncle, and grandparents) and those pickaninnies (meaning Chris' 2 half brothers and half sister from Karen's second marriage) then don't bother inviting your father or I to your wedding.

Right before Chris got his job they were trying to get him to move down to Tennessee for a job. Chris refused because he didn't want to live down there. Her response to this was:
Why don't you want to work? Did that lazy spic of yours teach you how to live on welfare?
Chris hasn't spoken to her since she said that.

Mind you, I've never lived on welfare and have had 2 jobs most of my life.
Does she think that living here, taking care of her mother in law isn't work.

I'm just happy they moved down to Virginia a few years ago so we barely see them.

What's new with you hun?
