8: Very good. I enjoyed this series a lot. It's of good, solid quality and is much better than the average. I probably believe that this show deserves to be a classic.
7: Good. This series is well-made and I enjoyed it. I would recommend this series to people. It has clear strong points of appeal and/or it maintains a consistently good standard of quality throughout.
6: Decent. This is a good quality show but I'm not especially enthusiastic about it./I liked this, but I must admit it has flaws./This is nice and I'm fond of it, but it is not all that special.
5: Average. This was okay. I liked this, or I wanted to like this more than I did, but it was hampered by its flaws./ This wasn't necessarily a bad show but I personally didn't care for it.
4: Below average. I liked some things about this, but felt it was crippled by its flaws, or those flaws particularly annoyed me./This series had potential, but wasted it./For whatever reason, I sort of regret watching this.
3: Bad. I hated this show, or felt it was incredibly boring and had nothing going for it. At best, even if I badly wanted to like this series, I still had to admit it really was awful.
2: Dreadful. I think this show is utter rubbish, and there is no-one I would ever recommend it to.
1: Appalling. The worst of the worst.
Series are scored on a combination of how good I think they were and how much I enjoyed them.
