Akatsuki no Yona was a show I picked up on a whim, but it quickly became one of my favorites. The characters are the main reason for this but the story itself is also compelling.
The story was one of the more intriguing ones I've seen, although after the first episode I was a bit skeptical about Yona. It didn't seem like she would change or get better but I stuck around anyway. One of my best choices in anime! The story really picked up and the introduction of the other characters helped propel the story and keep it interesting.

I loved Fruits Basket when I first watched it, and then my friend told me about the manga. The manga is perfect for any fan of the anime since it tidies everything up and creates a satisfying end for a great show!
The story was great, although at certain times it felt like there was too much going on at once, which made it slightly confusing. But the story was truly accented by the characters themselves, once I stated reading I couldn't stop and I read for eight hours straight because the characters drew me in so much. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni was an anime that I was extremely skeptical about watching. But, all of the reviews I had seen made it seem like an interesting anime that I would enjoy. In reality, Higurashi turned out to be an awesome story with really nice themes of friendship and helping others underneath the gruesome first appearance. The story was extremely interesting but at the beginning it was a little confusing, since the story revolves around arcs which are then reset.

Log Horizon is a fun and imaginative take on being trapped in an MMORPG. Log Horizon was able to keep a usually dramatic topic and keep the story upbeat and intriguing throughout. The series has strong characters, although there isn't a lot of character growth throughout the series. Besides the lack of character growth, there are also a few episodes where pacing felt a bit off. The story progressed very nicely despite the minor pacing issues, and the series showed an ample amount of the main and side characters.
