Feel free to have a seat, and make yourself at home; on the sofa, on the deck chair underneath the rainbow striped awning, or on one of the three patchwork beanbags, but please don't sit on the bed. It's been known to nom on people. o_o;
Feeling comfy? I hope so, because it's story-time. The story of how one young, eccentric super-heroine came to fall in love with anime.
(Okies, so she was a wannabe super-heroine, as she didn't have any super-powers).
Our story begins with our protagonist recognising the unique, distinct style of the television shows with the "big eyes".
'𝘖𝘩, 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 "𝘣𝘪𝘨 𝘦𝘺𝘦𝘴" 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯.'
She took a liking to these animations with large windows to the soul, and soon had a favourite theme that she identified with most.
There was a fervour that blossomed for shows such as Monster Rancher, Yu-Gi-Oh, Beyblade, Digimon and, of course, Pokémon. I'm sure that you've worked out the theme! ^_~
Then one fateful day, some years later, on her fifteenth birthday she received an e-mail from a long-distance close friend from America. Bordering the birthday wish were a group of anime characters, one of which who'd also had her fifteenth birthday. She searched far and wide for a millennia for this anime. (It took seconds on Google). Consequently, she met Kagome who transported her on a journey to feudal Japan. This, my dear friend, was her final, magical gateway into the world of anime. A surge of passionate enthusiasm coursed within her for the discovery of new anime. This never-ending quest continues to this very day.
