This is an uncensored version review.
I really like the OP MC kind of trope and what it does to the story telling. The awkward small talk, the moral judgments about having 2 slave girls that happens to become yours for pretty much no reason and that for pretty much no reason want to stay this way with the MC.
I am not as awkward as him but I really can relate on how to interact with people when having to show your vulnerable side and I enjoy how he tortures himself trying to be his best self not to show he isn't what he wants people

Ok so this is a shooter game set in the world of supakirito kun.
I enjoyed the first 2 or 3 episodes and really thought I was rid of the abhorrently ridiculous mix of unbelievable skills and luck supakirito has. I enjoyed the original content because it's so stupidly ridiculous by the way. I really thought this was going to be serious. I thought I was going to get a BoB without the weird deathgame SAO fans are extremely into for some reason. But as the anime goes on it started bugging me. I know it's a trope to have long speech without movement but it's hardly ...

If you think that this is a good anime about gambling. Well it's not. I won't say more because it would be a spoiler but you'll figure out why I'm saying this in a mere few episodes.
Anyway it doesn't mean that this isn't a very enjoyable anime. The voice acting is wonderful, the graphics are beautiful and the themes and ambiances are pretty diverse. I started watching it for the gambling and stayed for lovable characters and plot twists that makes me think this anime can pull itself in my top 3 this year (so far). Anyone that has watched more than a few OVA knows for a fact that OVA are there just to show skin and usually feature Onsens just for that purpose with little to no story and no care for character evolution.
Here we have a very nice OVA that is fun to watch. It keeps the spirit of the main anime and manages to keep it's level and cleverness and still make you feel feels. I am pretty sure it could even be watched as the final episode of a 14 episode anime instead of watching it as the OVA after a 13 episode anime. It's that ...

This series actually go in pair with each episodes of the main series. Which I find nice. Unlike what you could find with picture dramas from Code Geas for example that requires you to have seen the whole show for it not to spoil you.
I enjoyed it because it is more than just putting characters out of the show in extras where they do stuff. This can actually be both considered canon and develops a bit more the characters on a lighter tone than the main series. So far I have not often seen such extras and I find it refreshing. |
