Konosuba is by all intents and purposes a comedy anime, Because of this there isn't too much to talk about other than the comedy itself as that is pretty much the sole focus of the show.
I think for a lot of people the comedy/humour will be hit or miss, i personally found it hilarious and the show does a good job of putting different types of humour on the table.
The story is only there to put the characters into funny/awkward positions which depending on if you like the comedy or not can be good or bad.
The four main characters: Kazuma,Megumin,Aqua and
...
Darkness are all very wacky and fun and constantly get into hilarious circumstances and arguments together but again its for the comedy.
The animation is decent and the facial animations used are top notch, Also i need to talk about the voice actors as they do a marvellous job here, making every scene as funny as it can be with either their over the top or sarcastic tones it is truly perfect for the show.
Everything Konosuba does is for the comedy and humour,If you don't find the show funny after watching a couple of episodes i would say give it a skip.
If you are like me and love the humour and just the comedy genre in anime in general you will have a blast (or some will say an EXPLOSION!)
Positives:
Character personalities and voice actors fit the show perfectly.
Humour/comedy is well done and try's to mix it up so everyone can have a laugh.
Facial animations have never looked better in a comedy anime.
Negatives:
Story is kind of shoehorned in for the comedy.
As its comedy focused if someone doesn't find the show funny there is nothing else that can really entertain here.
Jokes can be a tad overused and repetitive.
Overall thoughts: Konosuba is a comedy anime through and through but the thing about humour is that its subjective so some people will love it some wont. Other aspects are pushed aside for the comedy so don't expect much there.
If you find the show hilarious you will most likely be giving it a 9 or 8 out of 10 if not most likely a 5 or 6 its just that type of show .
Konosuba can be hit or miss but if its a hit then it can be a comedic masterpiece.
Watch if your sense of humour allows.

Let me preface this review by saying that berserk is not for the faint of heart, it is dark, gritty and unforgiving , Any happiness that does occur does not last long in the unforgiving world of berserk but for someone who loves dark shows like me this may be what you are looking for.
This anime started airing in 1997 so don't expect too much of the animation , however i re watched the series again quite recently and to my surprise it stood the test of time quite well. If you have watched other anime that came out between 1995-2000 and
...
couldn't watch those because of the animation you may feel the same here but to me the old/faded look of the animation actually suits the world very well making it feel more like a positive than a negative.
The opening of this anime is my guilty pleasure as its lyrics are wacky and yet i love it , the sound effects are good here the clashing of swords the riding of horses and all of the other medieval sound effects that you expect to hear from an anime set in the medieval era are fitting.
As for the characters Guts and Griffith steal the show. Guts isn't really likeable at first but that is on purpose as on the outside he is this serious yet angry man who has beaten armour and a huge great-sword, but as the show progresses we see whats on the inside and what led him to where he is today. Then we have Griffith who in almost the complete opposite fashion has nice shiny armour an elegant rapier and is very charismatic these two characters play off of each other as they have somewhat different upbringings and outlooks. There are also some hidden gems in the supporting cast such as a female warrior named Casca who has interesting relationships with both Guts and Griffith.
The story as a whole is quite simple and is hard to explain without giving away spoilers but i shall try my best. The story starts with guts as a mercenary for hire and he is very good at what he does being one of the best swordsman's in the show, At one point he encounters a group named the band of the hawk led by none other than Griffith and both Guts and Griffiths lives are changed forever as they set out to complete Griffiths dream along with the other members of the band of the hawk. They set out out to achieve this by fighting many battles some on the outside some on the inside. As you can imagine from a show as dark as berserk things don't always go to plan leading to many surprising encounters and misfortunes. While i think the show starts a tiny bit too slow it more than makes up for it especially at the end. It is especially awesome that we get to see many of the band of the hawk members grow closer as they try to achieve their ultimate goal.
If you can withstand some outdated animation and maybe a couple of wacky sound effects Berserk's world will entice you, shock you and hurt you. Much of the story of berserk is tied to Guts and Griffith and boy do they make it an enjoyable watch, Coupled with some great fight scenes that have a lot of weight thanks to the anime's dark undertones and we have something special, we have Berserk.
You like dark anime? Watch Berserk. You like unforgiving anime? Watch Berserk.

The best cat and mouse game in all of entertainment, this is what death note brings to the table.
It may sound boring at first but boy oh boy are you in for a surprise, this show for all said and purposes is a masterpiece, until.....
Lets talk about the the characters as that is no doubt the best part of the series, we have Light Yagami a high school student who finds a death note and L a mysterious detective trying to uncover what is happening. Light and L are both geniuses/prodigy's and are pitted against each other in a battle of wits
...
and determination (this concept alone is a sight to see). Both of these characters are expertly written, what really helps is how the story puts them both in precarious situations all the time allowing us to see development and strategy's from both characters perspectives. You will easily get gripped by both of these characters that is how well written and designed they both are.
Speaking of the story it can be funny, dark, light (see what i did there) and most of all gripping ,the show does a great job of keeping you on the edge of your seat thanks to all of the twists and turns that happen throughout. The story up until episode 25 is a legitimate masterpiece that is until.... (Slight Spoiler ahead) a certain character dies and from episode 25 on wards the show still has 12 episodes left in which it does take a dip in quality essentially preventing me from giving this show a 10. It is still worth it to watch all of the episodes though as otherwise you will not be able to see the true ending/finale of the show.
I will compact the animation and sound into one segment here as they are both consistently great, the animation looks very good for the time and you can tell a lot of time went into it, the sound is fitting for the show both Light and L have their own unique themes which perfectly represents the characters, its a joy to listen to.
Final thoughts.
Death Note is a true masterpiece up until a certain event but while this event did make the shows overall quality take a slight dip the first half makes the show worthy of a 9 by itself. Death Note until episode 25 is easily a 10 in my books, The show as a whole is an easy 9.
A must watch.

Full metal alchemist Brotherhood was one of the first anime i watched and i am sure the same can be said for many others, I believe the reason for this is not purely based off of the fact that it is very popular but also because it is a great starter/beginner anime. The reason i think this is thanks to the shows inclusion of everything that makes anime what it is (music, animation the works) and the fact that the anime isn't missing anything crucial like some other anime shows is a testament as to how much care was weaved during production. What i am trying
...
to say is the show does everything well and in my humble opinion has no glaring flaws aside from the fact that while it does everything well it doesn't go above and beyond in any aspect so in retrospect it has no glaring negatives but also no glaring positives, it is simply put a tightly made show, a jack of all trades if you will these facts combined make it very appetising for newcomers.
Now don't hate me for this but i do think the show is slightly overrated. Majority of people who watch this show watch it as one of their first anime due to it being recommended to them through various means and because it is so balanced overall (as mentioned) people hail it after the first watch and that is because they don't really have anything to compare it to. Now i'm 100 percent sure that there are people who have seen the show after seeing many others and still give it a shining star of a rating and that is fine everyone is entitled to their opinions this review is just my opinions on the matter.
If you want to describe full metal alchemist in one sentence it would either be : the perfect starting/beginner anime (death note is up there as well) or one of the most balanced and tightly made anime.
I feel there is no need to go deeper into an analysis as if you have not seen the show watch it because the show has everything while also having no major flaws. As i have mentioned countless times (sorry) it is a great beginner anime for those reasons, but just because its a good starter anime does not mean you shouldn't watch it if you are not new to the anime scene as its an absolute joy to watch from start to finish thanks to it being a great quality show all the way through.
Its an anime that sets the standard for other anime for a reason. A must watch.

Naruto shippuden had great promise but was ultimately let down, let me explain.
Lets start with what Naruto shippuden does well.
Its characters: A diverse and interesting set of characters and while there is a lot it feels like the majority of them get enough screen time and backstory to justify them being there.
The world: Naruto shippudens world is truly something to behold, Just the fact that its a world full of ninjas with different clans is cool enough but its a lot more than just that, As the show grows so does the world and we the viewer slowly
...
starts to grasp just how intricate and mysterious it can be.
Fights: While there are good and bad fights in every shounen for such a long show Naruto does have a consistent amount of good ones, Like other shounens such as Bleach these fights are gripping due to the fact that each ninja and ninja clan have a diverse set of tools and jutsus (techniques/ability's) giving us something new and fresh pretty much every fight.
Moving on to what the show does ok at best.
Animation: Super inconsistent. One episode can look great because they wanted to put a bit more budget into it and then the episode after can look nothing like the last, This can be demoralising and disappointing for a viewer who is expecting consistent animation. The show can look great but only if they want it to which most of the time is not the case as they want to save money.
Sound (OP's/ED's): The openings and ending at the start of the show are a wonder to listen to they really put you in the right mood to enjoy the show no complaints here except for the fact that the openings gradually get a tiny bit worse throughout but that is bound to happen. The problem lies in the sound/music that happens during the episode itself not at the end or start. The music to me is too slow and sombre for what the anime is centered around which is ninjas and keep in mind these are not the type of ninjas who meditate they are the ones who throw goddamn meteors out of the sky (get what i am saying). I am not saying its bad its just ok, average if you will.
Now lets get on to the bad:
The story: The story of Naruto shippuden as a whole is fine in fact i would consider it good as it keeps the viewer watching by slowly revealing more about the world and whats really going on under the surface but its just not enough to save it from the curse that is fillers. 42% of Naruto shippuden is filler , Yes you heard me correct, No i am not memeing 42 goddamn percent , mother of god. Before you go crazy hear me out, While a large portion of Naruto shippuden is filler its not necessarily bad filler and to be honest i think some of the filler is needed as there are so many characters that get their backstory from said fillers, but even with that being said it is just way way too much and unfortunately because of this filler another problem rises from the ground like a weed. With loads of fillers comes pacing issues and these aren't some minor pacing issues because while a lot of fillers are obviously going to be slow paced the fillers actually make the pacing of the non filler episodes suffer aswell, also if you choose to skip fillers you will miss out on a lot of character development and backstory as that is the general use of them in the show, its a lose lose situation. I could rant about this for days but lets leave it there for now.
Now that i have mentioned the good, the ok and the ugly lets move on to.
Overall thoughts:
Naruto shippuden is your classic shounen and because of this it suffers from the classic shounen problems those being terrible pacing and horrendous amounts of filler episodes which hold back what could have been an incredible show thanks to the awesome characters and world, Leaving the show only average towards the end.
If you don't mind slow pacing and a huge amount of filler and give the show a fair shot you may find yourself entranced by Naruto shippuden's character and world building.

Why is Dragon Ball Z so popular? Is it because of the complex characters? No, is it because of the intriguing story? No, Is it because of the nonstop fighting and crazy hype factor? Hell yes!!!.
Dragonball Z focuses on the fighting and hype aspect of Anime and i can see why as this is where the show truly shines. What Dragonball z sets out to do it does VERY well. The build up to the fights is intense enough but when the show finally brings the likes of Goku and Frieza to have their fight it is truly something amazing and epic. The animation
...
and music of the show (which were incredible for the time) Only helps to make the fights a crazier ride.
Now while Dragonball Z mainly focuses on the buildup of fights and the fights themselves does this mean it does other things poorly? Most definitely not, The character development while simple at times is done well for a show of this genre as we progressively see characters grow and evolve into characters we never thought they could be. I already mentioned the sound and art and how good they were for the time (just trust me on that one). The last thing to mention would be the story, while the story itself is just there to drive Goku and the others to different fights it does it in a way that gets you even more hype for whats to come as characters work on not only bettering themselves but also others.
Postives:
Great Sound
Incredible Animation for its time
The hypest damn fights ever
Crazy and unique characters/villains
Negatives:
Character development can be slack (but its a fighting show for gods sake)
Story can sometimes drag with fights that are maybe a bit too long.
Overall Thoughts:
If you want a fighting show with plenty of hype and plenty of action this is the one for you. Dragonball Z is one of the best fighting shows out there.

Bleach (while airing) used to be considered as a part of the "big three" alongside the likes of Naruto and One Piece, obviously to be a part of the big three the anime had to be long running and popular, this is how i got introduced to Bleach.
When i first started watching Bleach i had no idea what it was about or why it was so popular and wanted to see what it was like for myself, About ten episodes in i decided to drop the anime because of how slow paced it was (silly i know) cut to a couple of months later i
...
actually wanted to give it a fair shot and this time around found myself getting really attached to the world and characters. At some point i became for a lack of a better term hooked and binge watched all of the episodes (yes i had nothing better to do).
Now to start with the main complaint i see about Bleach, its arc quality, arc quality complaints usually arise when there is a good arc then a bad arc then an ok one etc, This is 100 percent a problem with Bleach let me elaborate, the first arc of the show the agent of the shinigami (episodes 1-20) Is there to introduce us to the world and characters, While it can be slow to get going it is justified because 1. it is a 366 episode show and 2. it is the start of said show. As introduction arcs go it is pretty average as nothing too crazy happens (minus one or two particular events which i wont spoil) but it does do its job well, that job being introducing the characters and world as i mentioned before.
The second arc known as the soul society arc (episodes 21-63) is the anime's most popular arc and is often said to be the best arc of Bleach which i do agree with. This arc has it all: great character development, world building, epic battles (alongside some kick ass music) and high stakes. This arc is what made Bleach as popular as it was and for good reason. However after this arc ended is when things started going downhill as the next arc we got was the dreaded Bount arc, (Episodes 64-109) which was a huge and i mean HUGE step down from the soul society arc and not only that it had MORE episodes than the soul society arc to boot. Let me explain why this arc was so bad, Firstly it was a filler arc meaning it didn't mean too much in the overarching story of bleach, Secondly it was a whopping 45 episodes of filler that many watchers just didn't care about and for good reason as the fights were uneventful ,many characters are just nowhere to be seen throwing their character development that was so good from last arc out of the window while also having a somewhat sluggish pace akin to that of the introduction arc except here it serves no purpose other than to bore you.
Things were looking bad for bleach as the Bount arc had either left viewers who watched it drained or viewers who had skipped it disinterested in the series, But Bleach fans were eventually saved by the Arrancar arc the longest arc in bleach (episodes 110-316). The Arrancar arc provides us with the same positives as the soul society arc more character development (which is extremely important in a long running anime) an interesting take on the story with a unique group of villains and some of the series best fights if not the best, we even get introduced to one of the best characters in the series Aizen, but with all of these positives does come some negatives mainly how inconsistent this arc can be some episodes are great but then there are just some that are overall bad, The pacing of the arc was just all over the place and the fillers didn't help oh my god the fillers just when the story starts getting somewhere BOOM filler episode and just to let you know Bleach fillers are not good fillers not even close. But all of this being said the arrancar arc in general was really good and the second best arc in the Bleach anime easily. Unfortunately the same can not be said for the next arc (see what i mean about the arc quality) The final arc of Bleach was the the lost substitute shinigami arc (episodes 343-366) episodes 316-343 were mini filler arcs essentially and in my opinion not worth mentioning. This final arc was very unnecessary in my opinion and the anime version of Bleach should have just ended at the end of the arrancar arc as it would have been held in higher regard. Its hard for me to explain why this was arc was bad i guess to me it just felt forced and rushed and i was not interested in the slightest, to put it simply the anime did not end in a good way.
And now that i have discussed all of the main arcs of Bleach i will give my positives and negatives as well as my overall thoughts.
Positives:
Great Character development for the most part.
Awesome Opening and endings (Seriously listen to them).
Hype Music and Soundtrack.
Insane and intense fights with many unique abilities and powers.
Animation was very consistent and improved as the show went on.
Negatives:
Too many Boring and Uninteresting Arcs
Too many Characters (You cant develop them all you know)
Annoying fillers that constantly break immersion and tension.
Overall thoughts: Remove the filler episodes and Unnecessary arcs and you have a Solid 8 out of 10 in my books. But if you watch every episode you will be most likely giving it a 6 or 7 out of 10 depending on how invested you are in the series.
If the Anime had no fillers, no random arcs (looking at you Bount arc) and ended at the end of the Arrancar arc Bleach would definitely be looked at differently but sadly that is not the case and what we are left with is an inconsistent anime that has Very high highs Aswell as Very low lows.
Bleach is a good anime when its not held back by bad pacing, unnecessary arcs and horrible fillers.
If you are going to skip past all of the aforementioned negatives (which you can do with a bit of research) Give it a watch for sure.
