History is often a boring subject for people, and yet Hetalia Axis Powers makes it entertaining.
Story:
The story in Hetalia Axis Powers is certainly an interesting one. It basically follows the events of WW2, with each county as a character. The funny stereotypes, quirks, and odd history often become the basis for humor throughout the series.
Art:
I wish I could say more about the art in this anime, but it has what I view as the usual style. There's nothing too spectacular, although there are great moments featuring countries individual areas.
...
Sound:
Rarely do I have an anime that impresses me with the sound quailty. Hetalia Axis Powers is one of those for me. The individual accents of each character is heard, even in the subbed version. The theme to this anime will eventually get stuck in your head, though probably from hearing it so much.
Character:
I really loved each character in the anime. Not only is it funny to see each country as a person, the interactions are great. Unfortunately, it can be confusing to tell the names of each character at first. For me, this eventually went away rather quickly. The Chibitalia moments were amazing cute as well.
Enjoyment:
If you like history, stereotypes, and enjoy learning more about countries this anime is probably for you. Hetalia Axis Powers however is generally only a few minutes an episode. This can often be annoying, and some people might find it more trouble than it's worth. I'd recommend watching Hetalia, but not all at once. It's an anime you can easily stop and come back to weeks later.

Story:
The story in Hellsing is great. The series follows the story of the Hellsing Organization, a group made to destroy vampires. Though the story may seem simple, it keep getting complex. The progress is perfect, introducing us to characters, situations, and completely new concepts. Though this series is only 13 episodes, there's never a chance to get lost or overwhelmed by information.
Art:
I personally love darker themed Anime. The art in Hellsing is extremely dark, setting the mood well. This series has a very simplistic feel to it, but that only makes it more enjoyable. There are many scenes with a red or
...
black focus, or a black/white contrast. There were never scenes that seemed out of place, or environments that seemed out of place either.
Sound:
Hellsing has in my opinion, some of the best sound. There's plenty of little details that this series took time not to miss. Also, the subbed and dubbed are both equally as enjoyable. Also, as silly as it may be of a detail, most sounds are consistent throughout the series. Little details matter as far as sound goes, and this series does a great job noticing that.
Character:
This series has some of the best characters by far. The leader of Hellsing is actually a believable, strong, and mostly realistic female. Needless to say, Alucard's character is extremely cruel. Then, there's also the female torn between both worlds. It really does make for the most interesting character interactions. I always found myself interested in every character, not just a few.
Enjoyment Overall:
Hellsing is by far one of my favorite series so far. The characters are amazing, the art is great, and the story puts it all together. For people looking for a horror series with violence, blood, fights, and more ...this is it. Some may not enjoy the darker humor or bloody scenes, but if you're looking specifically for that you've found it. The only bad thing is there are only 13 episodes.

This series can only leave me asking...why?
Story:
Sadly, I have to say this series had a good story ...at first. I like how the story takes place in France, which is different from many series' setting. Unfortunately, it seems this series sacrificed it's creativity for its unique storyline. The first episode had a rather nice flow to it, but after that it began to slow down.
The flow was so bad, I considered stopping the series after the third episode. Giving it a chance though, it didn't even pick up until about the 19th episode! What kept me watching was simply the oddness of
...
where the story was going. Without giving away too many details, there were just things that didn't make sense.
Characters:
The characters are one of the things that will confuse any viewer! Not only are the men shallow and unrealistic, they also contradict themselves through the whole story! The main character seems to have a total break with reality as the story progresses, due to his sister possessing him more and more. His sister who supposedly wants vengeance against her killer, only kills everyone she comes in contact with! To top it off, the bad characters are made to be almost sympathetic...while the good characters are almost...evil!
Art & Sound:
The art and sound kept me actually watching this series at times. Set in historic France, the series captures some fantastic artwork. The viewer begins to feel lost in France, unfortunately having to follow the character's story. Little details clearly meant something in this series, as the sound is great as well. I really can't complain with the art and sound.
Enjoyment Overall:
I'd say unless you skip to the last few episodes this series isn't really worth watching. The only reason I'd ever ask someone to watch this, is if it was a time killer. The characters are awful, the storyline destroyed by the flow, and the art barely holds this series together. For not having known much about this series, it held a little value. Parts of this series seemed so predictable, all I could do is laugh.

Story: Highschool of the dead has a great story. A bunch of students trying to survive in a zombie run town. For zombie theme lovers, you can't really go wrong with that story. There's zombies, action, and of course...girls.
The only bad part about the story is the fan service. Lovers of fan service won't mind, but some might. Some scenes seem totally out of place. It was sometimes as if a different person was suddenly writing the series. The flow however, progresses nicely. The viewer will automatically be sucked in regardless of the fan service.
Art: One of the best parts of this series
...
has got to be the art. The characters have their own unique look, nothing is out of place, and the contrast is great. The zombies have a distinct look, and the art seems a little darker in places.
Sound: The sound in this series is great as well. The small details are all there, and none of the dubbs sound odd. I usually don't like watching English dubbed Anime, but I certainly didn't mind. Viewers will really be able to appreciate the sound in this series, even down to the screams of terror.
Characters: The characters in the series are good, but they have quite a few odd personality traits to them. Three of the characters are stuck in a love triangle, only to have one of them die. Some of the female characters switch from complete confident, to just needing a man. I found it to be quite odd, but it worked for this series.
Also, there seems to be way more female characters than male ones. This is probably because of the fan service. I didn't mind though, because most of the females can fight. They're portrayed confidently for the most part. All of the characters though seem to have a deeper side to them.
Enjoyment: I really did enjoy this series. It easily pulls the viewer in from the very first episode. Despite the fan service, I suspect that most will be able to enjoy this series too. One of the things that ruined the enjoyment though was the very end. It just seems to stop in an odd place.
Overall: To my surprise, this was a very good series. The story, art, and sound made it a fun experience. Zombie theme lovers will probably love this series especially. If you're new to fan service or zombie themes, don't worry this series is probably a good start to pick up a new interest.

Story: I found the story of Ghost Hunt to great. The synopsis of this Anime doesn't do it any justice. A unique thing about Ghost Hunt, is it focuses more on the scientific search for ghosts. Also, the series does have different cases. Each case is unique, and the series hardly gets boring.
One of the more negative things to the series is the romantic side story. The pure drama presented by the romantic side story, in my opinion, is annoying. Oddly enough, this drama later becomes hilarious in a few of the episodes. Whether it was done on purpose, I'm not sure.
Art: The
...
art in this Anime really surprised me. It was well done, and I never found myself asking, "Why is that even there?" One troublesome thing however, is that the characters tend to look similar. I would have preferred more variety.
Also, this Anime does tend to use darker themed art. It enhances the more dramatic scenes for viewers. At times though, there's a great contrast between locations in the series. Some are lighter, and some are darker. It can often be easier to predict the storyline this way.
Sound: The sound in this Anime is actually quite good. The theme really does capture the viewer right away. I had the theme in my head for days though, all through watching this Anime. The music is quite good throughout the whole series, and the sound effects are fantastic.
It might be annoying to some though, that the amount of dialogue changes. There will be scenes of complete dialogue, and then scenes of nothing but silence or static sounds. This is done on purpose, but it can still catch the viewer off guard. The plot does pull the viewer in, and the sound may not even be noticed that much.
Character: I found the characters to be the best part of this Anime. There are so many complex levels to each character. At first, we tend to hate Shibuya Kazuya, because he comes across as cold. As the series progresses however, more is revealed about why that's so. Luckily, there aren't many characters though.
The contrast between each character is amazing, and works rather well. Each character does tend to lean toward another though, and we often see the group off in pairs. This can be extremely annoying, because there is always side drama from this. Each characters unique value to the team though, makes it rather believable.
Enjoyment: I think people will enjoy this Anime, especially if they watch it in the dark. I certainly was never bored with this Anime, and the different cases kept me guessing quite often. If viewers have a high paranormal type interest, this Anime is probably for them.
Overall: Ghost Hunt was a great Anime to watch. For not knowing much about it at first, I'm definitely glad I gave it a shot. The characters are fantastic, the music is great, and the plot stays pretty fresh. I definitely think many viewers will enjoy this Anime.

Story: I found the story to be just the perfect blend of complex and simplistic. It's not the typical vampire themed Anime. There's plenty of great action, without the typical gore of vampire themes. I found the story to be less predictable, but it has tons of information in just 12 episodes.
Art: I found the art to be rather simplistic. It reminded me of watching those older cartoons. Surprisingly, it works for this Anime. It didn't bother me, but I can see how it may bother some viewers.
Sound: The sound in this Anime sadly didn't capture me much. That may be a good
...
thing, because it means it didn't lack much. I do think this Anime has one of the best opening themes though.
Characters: I found the characters in this Anime to be rather complex, yet some are extremely funny. The serious nature of some characters gives way to a moment of comedy, though keep in mind I have an odd sense of humor. Each character has a true purpose, and they're easy to keep track of.
Enjoyment: This Anime is the kind someone will really enjoy. Whether you're sick of vampire themes or not. It's got actions, serious plot, humor, and more. The only way it couldn't be enjoyable is if it seems far too cartoonish to some.
Overall: In the end, I'd say most people would enjoy this Anime. It's only 12 episodes, so it goes by rather quickly. It's got a rather unique feel to it, for it being a vampire theme. I guess I'd call it more of a family friendly type Anime. It's worth checking out a couple episodes, if not the whole thing.

What first drew me to Trinity Blood was a friend's recommendation. If it wasn't for that, I'd never have even heard of the Anime. Unfortunately, that meant I had no idea what it was about. I’m an avid lover of vampire themed Anime, so I decided to at least give it a try.
The story in Trinity Blood is very good compared to some of the Anime I’ve seen. From the very first episode, I was excited to continue the series. It seemed to have a unique twist, with a being who fed not on humans but vampires. The series after the first episode however,
...
does get a little slow. It takes time to build up the necessary information for viewers to understand. The plot though does pick up again, and it’s worth the slow bits.
Art and Sound are absolutely amazing in Trinity Blood. Not only does the art contrast characters, places, and events, but it combines with sound to pull the viewer in. Combining art and sound, Trinity Blood creates a whole a different universe for the series. Also, I personally enjoyed both the dubbed and subbed episodes.
Trinity Blood does create some of the greatest characters. At first, viewers may tend to write off the significance of characters. The characters do change along with the story though, creating a different perspective for audiences. These changes for the characters often reveal human struggles, which we can all learn from.
I truly enjoyed watching this Anime, and I’m sure others will too. The story, combined with art, sound, and complex characters, allows viewers to enjoy at least something within the series. I’m personally found of character, and sound. If others enjoy the same more so, then they’ll probably enjoy watching Trinity Blood.
Overall, Trinity Blood is an Anime worth watching. Its story may not be the most unique, but it does have unique twists and turns. For having no clue about the Anime, I truly did enjoy the experience of all the episodes. It’s a great Anime to watch, especially if viewers are looking for something with a little different spin on things.
