Having only 11 chapters translated so far it seems to be a stretch to say that one could give a proper review of the story. However the basic of it is as follows: a 17 year old Japanese kid on Iceland can talk to cars and does detective stuff.

While that might not seem like the most interesting or mature premise it has led to a wonderful first 11 chapters. The mystery aspect of this manga is very well written and compliments the incredible artwork very well. The author choosing Iceland as the manga’s setting is also a perfect match for her art. The breath ... taking scenery of Iceland with its deserted volcanic plains and misty mountains is no doubt a part of why the mystery feeling settles in so nicely and works perfectly with the authors realistic art-work, something that gives off a Seinen tone very well. The environment is not the only thing well drawn though, as we have a handful of beautiful characters, both male and female.

The only character we’ve somewhat gotten to know is our main character, Kei, but so far all the others one introduced have been set up with their own mysteries surrounding them in a way that makes you want to find out more. Something that goes for Kei as well.

If you’re looking for a very atmospheric mystery/adventure I believe this manga will serve you very well. It is not too hectic and appears to be more of a slow burn, so if that’s you’re cup of tea then I believe this is perfect to read sitting by an open fire, drinking a cup of tea.

To be honest, the first chapter of the manga was rather confusing for someone who didn't read the synopsis.

The story take place on Iceland where our main protagonist Miyama, Kei a 17 year old freelance detective who tries to live a life on Iceland while many people know him as a very good detective who can solve many problems. Kei himself thinks that he is just another normal detective you could find anywhere everywhere. Keeps thinking like that when you can read mechanical object minds like it was part of everyday life. Yes not only car, he can read every object mind that has ... a structure and mechanical platforms. With this kind of guy as the main character, I didn't see anything that could turn this manga into a bad thing.

The premise is what you already expected yet, you can only guess the premise of what will happen when you read around 4-5 page of the chapter. The story keeps evolving while also trying to keep the main plot of the story which literally "Live a good and perfectly normal life". Nah don't worry, the story won't be a "One way road to heaven" type of thing but rather Evolve into many plot and storyline.

As for the characters, everything is good but i rather warn you guys a bit. Make sure don't read this with your siblings or your parent's knowing since the art style is good and many of you won't be expecting explicit content on it....
No, i wasn't trying to say that the story contains porn or anything. The art style revolve around "Realistic things" which like if you had watch a bath screen on every anime and you see the water wasn't even clear or there are even smokes everywhere to cover the characters naked body and so on. Many those kind of things aren't realistic while the author are trying to make a very Realistic premise that could happen in real life ( Don't take an account like meeting naked girl on river bank or even bark in on a bathroom while there is someone in it. Everything is just a coincidence, you are indeed very unfortunate and fortunate if you ever experience this).

To sums up the review. I could say this manga was a hidden gem on the world of manga's and many of you won't regret reading this.

This manga easily could've been a 10/10 for me, the gorgeous scenery, the lovable whimsical characters, the quaint nature of it all. But it just has this persistent issue of meandering and unfocused writing, it flip-flops between the mc taking up odd-jobs and living his life in Iceland, and this murder mystery with his little brother. Now it's a half-baked combination of both. The mystery does not even have the majority of the focus, but because it's presented like the central conflict, it demands all attention and detracts from the other stuff she seems to enjoy drawing and writing more.

Regardless, I personally enjoyed this manga, ... the chapters that weren't about his little brother were amazing, the atmosphere it brings paired with the beautiful art fills you with wonder, granted I'm also a huge sucker for eccentric characters like Lilja and Jacques, I only hope the later chapters start becoming more focused.
