In short, It is wholesome.

When you hear about reincarnation as a premise, you start thinking about the legions of poorly written modern isekai mangas that became common in the recent years. This one is different.

Here, we have realistic characters, and the manga touches many adult topics, aging, loss, dreams and so on. A kid or a teen probbaly won't appreciate it much, but a grown up adult is much more likely to enjoy it. Honestly, If you think about it, it reminded me of Pixar's "UP" somewhat. Although the premise wasn't as tragic.

7/10 Story, 6/10 Art, 7/10 character, 7/10 enjoyment, 7/10 overall.

Story - the work ... takes itself seriously, and despite characters occasionally being somewhat stereotypical on occasion, manages to touch many topics suitable for adult people. It is heartwarming at times, sad at times, and basically it can touch heart strings of a grown up, which means it is quite good.

Art is okay. It is good, the amount of detail is decent, but it doesn't exactly standout otherwise, it just does its job.

Characters are portrayed more or less realistically, with focus on the main character. Can't say they're completely lifelike but they're believable, likable, and the manga does a good job portraying age differences well.

I enjoyed it.

Overall, it was a hidden gem I accidentally found whille looking through the piles of trash mangas, manhwas, and manhuas where every single one of them was about some sort of harem, overpowered protagonist, cheat powers and whatever else. Instead I found this by accident, and enjoyed it very much.

I highly recommend this title.

It's no new that 'Tensei' works are trending in Japan. It can be said that it is extremely easy to project oneself to a life different from the tiring real world. A free life, free from obligations and inhuman workloads. The sweet nectar once lost of a moment that a person wish had experienced before being just another one to exist in a society which is increasingly unable to see the future in good perspective.

Just like every human being needs a moment of leisure, a sort of peace of mind makes necessary to modern Japanese society and "Roujo-teki Shoujo Hinata-chan" fortunately delivers a weird surprise ... when we talk about works of reincarnation: It is just a cute and wholesome, yet unexpected, slice of life. – That reinforces how good our lives actually are.

The story follows the life of a kindergartener girl called Hinata-chan, a person who has a secret: She is actually an 88 years old lady living her life once again. Retaining her past memories, one could argue challenges of getting rid of old habits inded exist. In fact, the main gag of the manga consists of our main character speak or do things that are unusual for her age. Repetitive or not, it is pretty enjoyable on its own and does work well with a SoL + Comedy combo.

In addition, the interaction between the characters is, without any doubts, wholesome. The purity and innocence in each dialogue is perceptible, whether talking to adults, the elderly or even friends from the garden. Add that with two extremes of the protagonist: the naivety of a child and the wisdom of someone older and there will be a lot of entertainment for sure.

Another fun thing is, regardless of how many years Hinata-chan lived, she still learn and discover something new in her everyday life. Not only that, you don't even feel that the story stagnated in time, since it actually flows naturally with small timeskips.

All in one, Hinata-chan also is a "cute girls doing cute things" manga where Hinata-chan adapt her new life with her new friends and family. A precious treasure of a daily life showing the best of a life.

On the other hand, do not expect a complicated story. Hinata-chan does not intend to be something "serious", although having serious themes being approached some times. Expect it to be extremely cute and wholesome, a great weekly/monthly reading. After all, it is a manga about an old lady reincarned into a toddler, adapting to her new life as time goes on over again.

Read Hinata-chan if you want to fulfill your day with cuteness.

Eh, Obaachan Shoujo Hinata-chan is not as great as I expected it to be, but the premise is really catching. A grandma that gets reincarnated as a kid, this seems like a promising I can tell by the premise that it's going to be interesting than 90% of isekai plots, is it? Nah it's pretty average. This manga story is non-linear so there really is no direct story that is being told instead it's just really badly aimed slice of life anime anyone who's been reading manga long enough knows these tropes such manga are Jahy-sama and that 4chan girl (I forgot her name) but ... I was not surprised by this manga and its trope. The only thing I do like about this manga is how well they portrait the main character, I like the fact that she acts like a grandma, almost to the point of talking like one and acting like one, there is this really funny trope in this manga where the grandma constantly drinks tea and talk about her surrounding I do find these tropes fun but that's much all that there is to this manga, again remember what I said earlier it's just another slice of life anime with isekai thrown in it I did not expect anything new and I do not expect anything new now which really made me hate this manga because there was way too much that I was hyped for in this manga. I do like the fact that the main character grows but unfortunately, since there is no story I'm not sure if it matters, I forgot who the targeted audience for this manga is lolicons? I don't know but this not better due to it lacking in story and premise.
