Manga: Mahoraba
Both series are comedies about a blossoming relationship surrounded by the tenants of an apartment complex, and do a decent job of fleshing out all the tenants and making them seem like family. They both eventually get darker as feelings are realized. Ai Yori Aoshi is more focused on romance and has more mature scenes (lots of fanservice and nudity, of which, Mahoraba has nearly none) than Mahoraba. Mahoraba is a family-friendly series that focuses more on delivering good messages. Mahoraba has better character development and both series have romances that develop quite slowly.

Manga: Trinity Seven: 7-nin no Mashotsukai
These are probably two of the very few Harems with actually like-able male leads, and they both despite the harem status are very in love with a certain character . of course the main characters are very different and even both mangas only share the harem gener but i can't help it but feel the similarity since the MC are very different from the usual harem typical annoying lead

Old childhood friends re-unite after a long period of time and are both focus on comedy, romance, and slice of life. One is set in high school and the other one as college students.

Manga: AI ga Tomaranai!
These struck me as pretty similar when reading. Of course them both being typical boys fare (harem style) is obvious but they also have the main characters pair up at the start and be actually content together. It's all the other girls that are the problem. Both also have similar American characters.

Manga: Love Hina
These two manga series have a very similar basic story, of a single young man living in a boarding house full of girls. Love Hina leans more toward the comedy of the situation, while Ai Yori Aoshi leans more towards the romantic aspects.

Manga: Umi no Misaki
These two series, both by the same author, definetly share some similar themes and character designs. Ai Yori Aoshi is a love story wrapped in a harem comedy, and so far Umi no Misaki is a supernatural(?) mystery story wrapped in a harem comedy, both with a little tasteful fan-service.

while both have a different genres; one is senien & the other is josie, they both have a similar storyline, when one day a guy meets a girl who tell hime she's his wife and then move in with him ..:)

Both Ai Yori Aoshi and Emma are romances that are rooted in culture - Japanese for Ai Yori Aoshi, and British for Emma. Both are excellent love stories, and both have some truly great lead characters.
