I had never heard of the children's book Miyazaki talks about in this, but now I really want to! His meeting with the author was extremely interesting as well, seeing a japanese and british person, both of whom were children during the second world war and felt animosity towards the military in general was very interesting. It's also fully in colour, and it's gorgeous. I assume it's watercolour, at least it's not digital and it looks gorgeous. A lot of digital comics colouring don't look good at all because of how flat it feels, with one strong colour per part. There's no dynamism or movement ...
