There is a lot of emphasis on human-nonhuman relationship in both series; in particular the variety of monsters that shows up in the MC's life. Romance is more or less cliche for both series' development. As the main girls are monsters, expect supernatural powers to be shown with a diverse amount of aesthetics. Recommended for fans who are looking into a monster harem.

Great art, monster girls, fighting, people banded together in a group, it would have been really similar if it wasn't for the fact that Biorg Trinity have a totally nonsense story for the first few chapters, which is by the way completely irrelevant since the art is just insanely good.

Fighting, monster girls, fighting, monster girls, magical body modifications, fighting, monster girls, these two titles have it all! Actually Youkai Shoujo have a main character who isn't a completely generic blank slate of a guy and a more "seinen" plot, but Tsugumo have some of the best fighting scenes ever drawn, so that kind of adds up. Also, the reason anyone would care about these two titles anyway; the girls are usually more nude than dressed, which might be a good thing.

Both series involves a main protagonist who develops relationships with non-human female characters. There are various species in both series and the MC's personality is able to win them over. Comedy is also present although generic with harem tropes. However, both series are often open for creativity with the variety of characters. Both series also has a slice of life-like mood with every day life events that happens in their story.

The protagonist is a stereotypical weak human teen boy with the virgin -trope who interacts with Japanese yokai. There are some moderate fanservice elements present in both (more in Yokai Girls) but the thematical elements are relatively similar in the supernatural aspect.
