An adorably cute girl wants to become friends with the guy everyone is afraid of? if you liked that story line you will love this story also!

Both mangas start with the heroine ( fluffy easygoing girl) falling in love with misunderstood boy (for different reasons though), helping him come to term with himself. The atmosphere is similar!

The guy is being misunderstood by majority, the girl found out his true loving personality and falls in love.

The male protagonists are very similar in the sense that they both get into fights very easily and thus don't have many friends. They both find a girl that sort of helps them become a little friendlier, which leads both guys to become unsure about their feelings towards the girls; they constantly contemplate whether it's "like" or "love". While Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun is a bit more comedic, Koisuru Harinezumi is filled with more romance.

Both series' main male protagonist are similar with their cold and sarcastic personality. However, we do get see a bit of of their softer side especially through the relationship they develop with the main female character. Both series focuses on relationship dynamics that includes friendship, romance, and rivalries. There is also similarity between the main female protagonist in both series as they are cheerful and always eager to make new friends. Both series has lighthearted comedy although also contains drama as the story progresses.

These stories have seemingly cold and apathetic male characters with mysterious pasts, and share a similar story arc in which both heroines experience the same series of coincidences and events involving their love interest's ex-girlfriend.

The male leads in these shoujos seem cold or scary yet are really rather shy. Both guys actually like playing with little children and have a different personality that they cover up. So if you like male tsunderes you will probably like these.
