Raven, stuffed toy rabbits, naive main character who has a darker side, the unknown, need I say more, other then the story lines tend to be very dark.

Both are shoujo mysteries. Where the main characters, Ivan in Fairy Cube and Hisano in Coelacanth, are trying to figure out the truth about events from their childhood. Both have a romantic element that is secondary to the mystery, but still strongly present in the story as it unfolds. Fairy Cube has decidedly more supernatural elements in its story than Coelacanth, but the latter does have minor hints of supernatural as well.

Both series have European fairies as their core subject. Fairy Cube is a contemporary urban fantasy while Hakushaku to Yousei is a period piece, but they both have a nice balance of action, intrigue, and romance.

Add blood, a bit of violence, gothic artwork and dark characters to Merupuri, switch wizards to fairies and you´ll have Fairy Cube. - Both have a main teenage guy that ends up stuck in a child´s body. - Both have a main girl that ends up falling in love with the main guy and tries to protect him but ends up being abducted. - The main guy has a brother that is his rival and at first sight, his "enemy". - Both have an older guy with a little fairy that loves him and follows him everywhere because he saved her when she was younger.  read more

Alice in Kyoto Forest and Fairy Cube feature a main character with a tragic childhood unknowingly getting themselves in another world; the whole story follows our MC trying to get back to their original world in the state they originally were, and maybe reunite with their childhood sweetheart along the way. The presentation in both series are beautiful, and you may find yourself sympathizing with the main character about as fast as falling in love with the art.
